This is a book to encourage people to live their best most hopeful life. It is a little slow at times, and if you are not from the American South or the evangelical tradition, you may reject the author’s advice and encouragement.
I do think it offers good suggestion on moving forward from your troubles. It also provides clues as to the hurt that is inflicted by abuse. You maybe able to identify people that have suffered abuse even emotional abuse. When you identify those people you can be more forgiving and encouraging.
