TO CATCH A RAT (Darknet Series Book #1) by S.J. Grey is the start of a new techno-thriller series that took off like a shot and had me engaged from the start. This thriller, even though it is based around computer hackers, the darknet and spies, is full of action and easy to read.

Emma’s best friend from childhood, Joss shows up on her doorstep talking about be spied on and followed. She begs Emma before she runs away if anything ha

I just loved this story! It seems that I really enjoy cyber thrillers - who knew? Emma's former best friend Joss arrives at her doorstep one morning looking haggard and terrified. She says 'they' are watching her. But something spooks her and she bolts. Emma and boyfriend Mark drop around at Joss's place after work to find the house ransacked and, after wandering around a bit, they find her body in the river. Yikes - maybe she was right to be scared. But who or what is after her?

Then Joss's twin

This is the first book by this author that I have read, but far from the last. I couldn't put it down. I was drawn into the story from the first page. The characters are interesting and the narrative compelling. There are periods of action that were so exciting that I could not stop reading. Too soon, I got to the end, and now I need to go buy another of S.J. Grey's books.

I received my complimentary review copy of this book from the author, through Voracious Readers Only.

I enjoyed this tech-suspense read from start to finish. It was very well written and engaging.
I liked the way the story unfolded step-by-step, layer-by-layer.
The characters were all well crafted. The story was full of twists and turns and it had me on edge constantly guessing what comes next.
I liked that it didn't end on a cliffhanger and I'm eager to find out how the series will continue.

I thoroughly enjoyed this, it help me in it's grip from start to finish.
This author really knows how to keep you interested.
It was realistic enough to keep your mind turning over waiting for the next corner to turn and using real place names just made it more real for me.
The main female character was really strong and she got to show that instead of waiting for the male to take the lead all the time.
The suspense had me sitting on the edge of my seat at times waiting to see what happened next and

Wow! This book is a really good. It has all the elements I love in a good read:

- Characters with depth, who are "real" and have flaws, yet are relatable and engaging;
- A great plot, full of twists;
- Suspense, action and excitement;
- No cliffhanger at the end.

Although it is the first in the series, and there will be a thread running through them all, it could be read as a standalone with no loss of enjoyment.

I'd definitely recommend it.

Holy Cow!!!

Firstly, thanks to Ms Grey for the ARC copy to read!

I love my new hero writer S.J Grey!
I have read many stories written by Sofia Grey, but writing as S.J, I believe Sofia gives us her true potential !

This is a fantastic, fast passed, techy drama, with a bit of romance thrown in for good measure.
You will find yourself question everything that happens, and wondering just who is really the good guy!
I'm super glad this isn't just a stand alone, and that there will be more in this serie

What a twisty plot! I could not put this book down and finished it in a day. I appreciated the rare portrayal of a professional woman: when the story begins, Emma is making a presentation at work. As the story unfolds, she fiercely defends her family and friends. She is not the only strong female character in the story; her mother is one of my favorite "book moms" ever!
I definitely plan to get the next book in this series!

In the book To Catch a RAT, author SJ Grey writes about Emma. Her friend Joss kept saying she felt like she was being watched. No one believed her. Not even Emma. But when Joss was found dead a chain of events started to unfold that revealed more questions than answers. Who could Emma trust?
This was an interesting story and plot with many twists and turns. I did not like all the hard language! I received a copy of this e-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The characters are instantly believable and I was on the edge of my seat through the whole book. The ending is full of action and amazing twists . I would recommend this book to all those who love a story full of mystery, murder, fast action integrity and love. I can't wait to read the next one in this series.
Well worth the read. 😊
