Tumultuous and often devastating, but always a lesson around every corner, Petra Landon’s THE SIREN with its supernatural enemies and allies does a remarkable of job of mimicking life. Events that start an avalanche never start in a bubble, they are happening all around simultaneously and Tasia is caught squarely in the middle of everything.

Thanks to the author for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have been waiting so long for this book and was so glad that I got the message from Petra Landon that it was finished! This series is what started me reading Petra Landon books and I can't wait to see how it's going to end.
This book was again one with great world building, an awesome set of characters and new reveals and mysteries!

I am...conflicted about this one. I will try to explain my reasoning, but first let's talk about the plot!
The Plot:
The Siren starts off right after the events of The Rainmaker. Lady Bethesda is determined to bring about the Prophecy, believing herself to be the rainmaker and that Faoladh will join her as her protector. Furthermore, she is trying to bring together and control her three daughters who are prophesied to play pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Tasia is learning how to use her powers defensiv ...more

I received this novel as an ARC from Ms. Landon. Thank you!
Wow! Words cannot describe my reactions to this novel. I was enthralled from beginning to end and what a cliff hanger there is! Ms. Landon weaves an incredible tale, following a few different characters, slowly bringing them together, but not quite yet. The Prophecy is what brought several characters together, as they try to determine who the other players are. Many believe Lady Bethesda is the Rainmaker, who will bring Faoladh, the Were ...more

I was lucky to receive an advanced copy and couldn't be happier. It's truly amazing. I reread The Rainmaker before starting The Siren. The flow is seamless. I'm savoring each page.
This is exceptional writing. I read it twice! Twisty and full of surprises. It keeps you guessing then throws it all in to chaos as soon as you think you have it figured out. Petra creates a world I can really lose myself in. Once again the ending had my heart beating fast and hard.

The Siren (Saga of the Chosen #3) by Petra Landon is the long-awaited third installment of this incredibly detailed and in-depth tale of the four, hidden, magical entities that exist side by side with us humans (Si’ffa) but of which we are totally unaware; The First Ones, The Wizards, The Wyr or Shifters, and the Vampires or Blutsaugers. The Siren continues straight on from where Book 2, The Rainmaker and we see the wizard Tasia Armstrong and her nemesis/protector Wyr, Alpha-Protector, Raoul Mer

First and foremost, don’t do what I did and jump right into this book, expecting to remember everything that was going on. Its been two years I’ve read countless books in between, and there isn’t any recap.
Landon warned about this in the forward to re-read The Rainmaker; however, I didn’t have time if I was going to make the deadline to finish the book. I voluntarily received a copy of The Siren to give it an honest review. I was trying to get the review done by the release day, then the Virus ...more

I love this epic paranormal series, and this latest instalment is a fantastic continuation. There is such depth and complexity to the characters, and whilst essentially this is a suspenseful adventure story there is more than one slow-burning romance for those of us who enjoy a love story.
The author is a skilled and intelligent story teller. Her ability to weave a tale like a multi-threaded tapestry and to keep each strand secure and intact is a true gift. This author clearly loves her art, and ...more

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.
So I have been lucky enough to receive ARC copies of each book in the Saga of the Chosen series and I must say that each and every installment seems to get better and better.
This book is simply amazingly done!
There are additional characters that add a ton to the story but feel like they have been a part of the ride the whole time.

An avid reader all her life, only recently has Petra allowed her own imagination to run riot. She loves to travel and reads everything she can get her hands on. Her idea of a good read is one where the story and characters linger, long after the book has been set aside. Sometimes, when the ending of a promising book disappoints her, she imagines a different and more satisfying outcome for herself.
