What does it take to fight evil? Erin Evanstar is put to the test in Power Inversion (book #2 of the Evanstar Chronicles).
Power Inversion is intense in a great way, and I couldn’t put it down. There is so much action, and the visual details are done beautifully. But what really grabbed me (like Codair’s other books) is the emotional core of the story. Erin’s journey deepens and their emotional wellbeing and strength are challenged in personal ways after receiving major news that seems to shatter ...more

Power Inversion artfully pivots from Erin's despairing introspection in Power Surge to an interdimensional struggle to save everything and everyone they love, hopefully without losing too much of theirself in the process. Sometimes you just feel like a monster.
This book felt more fractured and surreal than the first one, at least partly due to the complicated mess of stuff the MC is trying to handle. Erin is conflicted ...more

Another great entry into the Evanstar Chronicles. I very much enjoy the developing crossovers between angels, demons, and fey. It gives a lot of great worldbuilding to play with.
Erin continues to grow as a character as well, and reaches some frightening levels in this one! There are interesting questions about what one can and should do with such power. Looking forward to the next one!
