If you aren’t reading this space/fantasy/drama/action/romance series, you are missing out!

I love it when a book series clearly has been planned out so that things briefly glimpsed in the first book are more fully revealed in future books. Kira’s and Jin’s history was more than a bit murky in Rules of Redemption and finally we get some (but nowhere near all) answers, and one of them is a doozy!

I will say this installment suffers from too many new characters, which is somewhat understandable

Wow, I truly believe this is the author's best work yet.

It was an amazing sci-fi novel, filled with action, and twists and turns.

I'm still hanging on to all the feels. Which makes me think that this book actually gave me a book hangover. The only thing that bothers me is that I'll probably have to wait a year for the next book, and a year is just too long - lol.

Someone get the Delorean and send me into the future because I need book three like right now.

This book is so amazing, I am just smiling like an imbecile after that ending. Have I mentioned how much I love Kira, she is the best. I loved everything about this book, I cannot wait to see Kira go super saiyan on those Tasviste.

Gosh, I need more and there's no talk of book three yet. Why me.

I had a lot of worries about whether this book would live up to its predecessor, which I thoroughly enjoyed and have reread numerous times since it’s release.

Short answer: OMG $@&& YES!

”I really should have made different life choices”

Medium length answer: this is a thoughtfully done (yet still action-packed, because, let’s face it, this is Kira) exploration of Kira’s past and how it’s formed her, good and bad. Plus, more of everyone’s favorite sarcastic not-a-drone, more Finn being
I know this book just published but I already nagging this author on twitter and asked her when book #3 will out.

It so good, can’t remember when the last time I devour a book like this series, stay awake until 3 am two nights in a row!
Go read it, if you love a no nonsense, mentally and physically strong heroine with a very kind heart and equal fabulous hero.
The romance part still too thin for my liking but I don’t care, because I just love this series world building and their story still going

The fact it took me 3 days to finish this book should tell you that I struggled with it . The 3 star rating is due mostly to my love of book 1, and the ending that tried to save the day. Honestly though it's difficult to appreciate a book when you can't really care about the heroine. I loved her in book one, but I could barely tolerate her here. She's stupid, overwrought by guilt and with a martyr complex and woe is me attitude that go way overboard.
I might have been able to go over it without

Disclaimer: I'm a huge T.A. White fan at this point

I've been waiting for this book the moment I read the last line of Rules of Redemption and it did not disappoint! I absolutely love Kira as a character she's so much fun to read and just like every character in this book I'm getting seriously attached So many of my questions from book 1 were answered and now I have even more questions but in true T.A. White fashion I'm sure everything will be answered in due time. I love the pace of this

This series is really interesting, but i suppose I thought it would have more overt romance. It’s there but pretty subtle within the context of the larger plot. This book has secrets upon secrets and I grew a little tired of the allusions to them without payoff. Her and Jin are holding everything extremely close to the vest and while we are given enough to speculate, we never receive the confirmation that provides a satisfactory push forward in the plot.

While I can’t say this book lacks action

4.5 but rounding up because this series really seems to be kicking off.

I really liked the developments in this one, particularly with Kira realising she can't keep all of her secrets forever an dkwwp going at it alone. The next book will certainly be intriguing!

I was a bit unsure at first, but this is shaping up tj he a really excellent series. And I love the development between Kira and Grayson. Its just the type of slow burn I love.

Looking forward to the next one and I hope it won't be too

This is an ARC Review

The story is full of action and mystery. It continues from the first book and Kira goes on a journey through House Roake, her father's house. The book delves into her past, and some unanswered questions and shocking secrets of the lost children in the sorrowing are unveiled in this book. Kira goes through many trials in her effort to heal her broken body while trying to stay alive from the betrayer's of House Roake. I suggest you read this book if you want cute romantic

Love This Book!

I can’t begin to explain exactly how much I love this series. I’ve read other series by this author and loved them all, and though this series goes in a different direction genre-wise it still checks all my boxes for a 5 read.

This is the second book in the series and it’s superb. It’s expertly crafted to keep the reader on the edge of their seat with each turn of the page. I literally could not stop reading this book after I downloaded it. I was wandering round the house with my

3-3.5-4 stars???

Dude... I'm so freaking lost! I am honestly not sure exactly what to give as a review?? The story went fast, then drug on and on, and then (of course) the last two chapters went extremely fast. That isn't really the problem, the problem (or source of my confusion) was Kira. What the ever loving hell is with the tidbits of her story slapping us in the face? I am so fucking lost in the sauce right now-- I will probably have to read this story again. With everything coming out the

Note: I got an arc in exchange for an honest review. So here we go

When I read a really good book compared to average ones it completely sucks me into its universe and I am in a happy excited state while reading the book. This new book of T.A.White achieved that again. It made me laugh out loud, feel sorry and squeal with excitement. I want moooooooooore. 4,5-5 stars

To prepare for part two I reread the first book, which was good because the second one picks up right where the previous one ended.

In some ways, this book reminded me—and not in a good way—of the scads of YA fantasy stories that feature an aspiring mage/warrior/whatever entering a school as an outsider and facing the usual mean students and other obstacles on their way to demonstrating their awesomeness. But I loved the first book, am still invested in the world and characters, and am curious enough about the multiple unfolding mysteries that I still enjoyed it and will look for the next book in the series.

Now I know that what is the feeling and desperation of the addict who is denied his next fix. This book is like that shot of drug. I wasted my precious hours on it because I couldn't focus on anything else. I'm finally done with it. It feels like I have surpassed a mountain. I wouldn't have given this praise if it were not for the cliffhanger and reveal in the end. The secrets that Kiera has been harbouring are slowly coming to light. Story is unraveling in a beautiful way, as it should. I hope ...more

Page turning space fantasy romance

I currently have two series that I reread every year. This will be the third. if I had a superpower it would be the ability to wave a wand and get book 3 in this series instantly. This second installment ticks all the boxes for me. You have detailed world building, an immersive storyline, a heroine who is powerful but vulnerable sassy but not disrespectful. There are secrets and lies, betrayal, the sheer satisfaction of watching Kira outwit people who

Must have more of this amazingly awesome series in my life! Totally saw that ending coming. But it was awesome! You cannot get any better than this series. Fine yes the Pathfinder books are right up there too. Also cant forget the Dragonridden. But Kira is the Bomb! Counting down the time until the next book! I adre how the little hints keep coming up and new stuff is slipped in. T.A. white you rock! I deeply appreciate your sharing these wonderful stories with me and

Could not love this book and series any more than I do. Even pacing myself I read it in one day and have a severe case of withdrawal right now. I need to know what will happen next, how the story will develop, and how Kira's relationships will evolve. Who is Jin in Tuann society and where do the others fit in?
A big fan of T.A. White and her amazing storytelling! I just wish she could/would write new books faster, because I can't wait to get my hands on the next installment in the series. Best

T.A White doesn't disappoint with the latest instalment of her Firebird Chronicles. A fast paced, mystery/action/suspense filled novel with just the right touch of romance. It's a great page turner and the author keeps the story going and maintains the reader's interest while introducing a range of characters, their various story arcs and keeps the central mystery going right until the end.
I really like the way the author layers on the intrigue, solving the main problem in the novel while

There’s a lot to unpack in this. I don’t enjoy it as much as the first one and it’s not a mystery in the same sense as the dragon storyline TA White has started, but it leaves on a cliffhanger. And of course leaves the reader wanting more. More so than any other character this author has put together, I want this MC to have a HEA, and it’s not clear if that will ever be in her cards, but it leaves u wanting that and more.

Very good, looking forward to the next.

I did find the reveal after the battle confusing? Who was the bond with exactly? New or old considering the flash back that precedes it?

Loved, loved, loved it!

What a great story. Action packed, great characters, delightful storyline,

There is nothing better than a really well written tale.

Thank you.

PS... maybe I can be more articulate after coffee. Someone (who shall remain unnamed) stayed up way way way too late finishing Age of Deception.

Aargh. The Wait Will Be Unbearable.

Fantastic 2nd entry on this series.
Loved the progression of the story, the romance, the action, the characters. Picked up some hints that were revealed at the end. We have to wait now. I enjoy all of the authors books so much but it will be entirely unbearable to wait a couple of years for the next one of these. Thanks for a lovely read. Aaargh!

Loved it- when's the next one?

I got a sample of the first book and promptly bought both books in the series and read them at one sitting. Can't wait to find out how the cliff hanger at the end of this book is resolved.
If you like an interesting, intelligent heroine with trust issues, who has lots of secrets both to keep and discover this is for you.

The cliffhangers are killing me

Very rarely do sequels surpass the previous story. I have 5 stars because this book is even better than the first and I loved the first. I'm just really annoyed with the abrupt cliff hanger.

Writing is my first love. Even before I could read or put coherent sentences down on paper, I would beg the older kids to team up with me for the purpose of crafting ghost stories to share with our friends. This first writing partnership came to a tragic end when my coauthor decided to quit a day later, and I threw my cookies at her head. Today, I stick with solo writing, telling the stories that ...more
