The majority of people thought all bikers, especially one-percenters like us, handled things the same. Those people would be irrevocably wrong. Our now rival MC, The Dogs of Chaos, was proof. Their club’s greed outweighed the amount of honor they had for our deal. We were quick to remind them what a colossal mistake they made. I was the Vice President of the Cleveland, Ohio Chapter of the Royal Bastards MC. My cut was sacred, and I wore our colors with pride.
I thought of my past daily, but that didn’t mean I still loved her. The remnants of guilt I felt in my gut every day didn’t prove that I should have followed her. They were reminders of my life, a part of the history of how I became who I am: a stubborn SOB with a foul mouth and a heap of felonies. Stealing guns, arson, breaking and entering, these were all petty things to me. My only weakness was admitting my true feelings for her, and I refused to…until I was forced. When Ray abruptly walked into my life again, or rather, I barged into hers, I quickly vowed this time would be different. The thing was, a person couldn’t make promises without considering the rest of their life, particularly someone with as many enemies as I had. I stupidly got caught up in the moment and forgot who I was and what that meant for her. I never meant for any of it to happen; I didn’t want this for her.
The Dogs would retaliate for our transgressions; this much I was certain of. Having knowledge didn’t make a difference in the end, because what they took from me could never be replaced. I was Logan “Crow” Williams, and just like a crow, I would hunt them down and reap my revenge in blood.

The concept of this MC series seems to be a good one... Each book features a different author and each story is about a different motorcycle chapter! In this particular story, the mc are from Cleveland.. Unfortunately, I found this one to be boring and when action did occur, we were given a quick taste and then it was over. As a result I ended up not being able to become emotionally attached to any of the characters.
The next book is written by K Webster and I have loved most of her books. So I remain hopeful that I may finally enjoy a book in this series! Fingers crossed 🤞!!!

🔥BLURB🔥 The majority of people thought all bikers, especially one-percenters like us, handled things the same. Those people would be irrevocably wrong. Our now rival MC, The Dogs of Chaos, was proof. Some of my favorite books are second chance romances. There's just something about two people who love each other enough to realize that fate has stepped in to give them another chance. Crow and Ray have a bond that's soul deep and despite the years that have passed, neither one has forgotten about the other. Loved their fearless and passionate romance.
This Royal Bastards MC story introduces the Cleveland, OH chapter. The writing in this novella is lush, descriptive, and heartfelt while also keeping true to the dark side of 1%er MC clubs. Such a great mashup! You can't resist falling for Crow and Ray and all they've been through. Can't wait to read more!
So there was nothing in the first 54%. The main female and male characters were just thinking about their feelings. They meet again for the first time after 7 years. We get about a chapter of interaction and then more feelings. There wasn’t much dialogue or interaction with other people or even with each other. The last 15% of the book had some action with a rival club but since this was such a short story, that wasn’t much. That being said, it was an easy story to get through quickly.
This was a bit a let down. The majority of the story is about Ray coping with loosing her father. It's only at almost the 50% mark that Ray & Logan see each other again after seven years and immediately have sex.
There is mentioned of the criminal stuff and some gun stealing, but that's it! No biker stuff, I want some gruesome blood flowing shit!
Part of the Royal Bastards MC series where authors have come together to bring you a series of 26 stories.
This book is a joke. I expected a biker book like the first Book by Erin.
Crow and Rae finally run into each other at 54% and the only thing that happens before that point is Rae's father died. Other than that nadda, zip, zilch. Oh I'm sorry they talked about guns and other characters. But where is all the dark, gritty biker stuff? Not in this book as far as I read. What a waste of money thought all the Royal Bastards were going to be great, what a disappointment.
New to me authors and you would not guess this is written by two authors! It is seamless!! Ray is on her way home to Cleveland, Ohio after moving away to work. The reason had me in tears as it brought back memories for me but it was written do beautifully. Ray and Logan 'Crow' reconnect and after all that has gone on before, the connection and chemistry is still there. It is fast paced! With danger lurking from a rival MC, Logan needs to keep his wits about him and Ray, safe. Great addition to the Royal Bastards!
I have read a couple books/ the novellas in this series by different authors already and with each one I am loving it more and more. Crow and Ray have a history and been together before they decided to go different ways but now that shes back the connection they once had is still there and even stronger. I really, really liked these two so much and can't wait for more to come of this great series.
The series is not a must read every book.. but having read the first book by Erin and several other biker series ... this book was lack luster. Nothing about this kept me interested.... by the time you reach something of substance you are over half done with the story and I was completely tuned out by the finishing only because I promised a review for Booksprout ARC.
The premise was good but it fell kind of flat. The H and h had a past but they never interacted in the book until 50%. The first half had some MC drama but was mostly inter so dialog. The book was more telling f than showing. I would have liked more interaction between the characters. The ending was also rushed.
Ooohhhh, this book holds so much promise. The storyline is good, but it could have been great. The characters were well written, but we could have used less of their history, less of the "fluff" and more interaction between the two main characters. Their meeting after all of those years didn't need to finally take place half way through the book. It could have been sooner. There is so much that could have been done here. The action between the two MC's was really good. The retaliation was short but good. Then it ended, and everyone was fine like it never happened. I don't know who was shot, stabbed or what happened! I'm at a loss.
On the positive side, the storyline, second chance romance was really good. I was sad over the reason for her return and I was a bit put off at his taking so long to go by the house, especially after going into great detail about how her parents treated him like family even after they parted ways. The storyline regarding the MC was short but it was good. Considering that the other MC was a problem I would have thought more would have been said about what was going on, about their planning for them. What action there was, was great..but short. I did love the idea about the car with the money and...well you will have to read what I'm talking about, not going to give that little gem away.
I am really sorry, for this review but I do need to be honest and I hope I didn't do so harshly. I do feel that this book has promise and would be a great read if it were just worked on a little bit. I however, cannot recommend this book as it is now. Just know, if it is worked over, it will be one fantastic read!
Bad Like Me is the second book for the Royal Bastards MC series. Now I am told you can read them in any order and that is fine, but since I am reading them as they come out, this is the next one. The first book Blood Lust was dirty, nasty, and MC worthy.
Bad Lie Me was boring, no chemistry, and had nothing for 54% of the book. It was horrible. I am upset that I spent 2.99 on this ridiculous story. I am NOT one to give out bad reviews, but having spent the money on this, one and wanting to stay true to the series, I am agitated.
If you are going to put together a significant release of books like this, allow bloggers and readers a chance to read them properly with a first read or at least KU read them for a couple of days. I wouldn't change my review, but I wouldn't be out 2.99 for this book. Now I know why there were no promotions for this story. It was bad.
There are a couple of things about series where different authors take a character and part of the storyline and each tell their version of what happens. Some are so good you don't want to put them down and some are so slow it seemingly takes forever to get through them. Unfortunately, "Bad Like Me: Ohio Chapter" is one of those that seemed to take me forever to finish. It's a second chance romance between Ray and Crow and that's great, except they didn't even run into each other until the middle of the book. Most of it is spent on how sick Ray's father is with cancer. These kind of series are a pot shot as to what you'll get and I realize no two authors write the same. I know several of the authors participating and I hope this is just her first work within an MC book and the next one with have a bit more grit and substance, otherwise, it was a good read.
This book is part of the Royal Bastard MC collection. Each book is written by a different author and takes place in a different city. Basically, each author writes a different chapter of the club. This book is a second chance romance. Ray and Crow were together in high school. He broke things off when she went to college. He wanted more for her then he could give her. He knew where is heading and she deserved better. Now she is back because her father is sick. They never really stopped thinking about each other. Could they have a second chance. He is now in an MC. I loved Ray and Crow. He just wanted what was best for her. This book could have had more detail in certain parts but I liked the characters a lot. This book is more a novella length. Great job Chelle and Eli. I can’t wait to read more books in this collection.
Ray and Crow have grown up together and dated in their youth until it was time to go to college. Ray left and he stayed. Crow managing his father’s shop and Ray went to study electrical engineering. When Ray’s father falls ill she returns home and a few days later, her father dies leaving her in a depression. 7 years have passed since Ray and Crow saw each other, but one look, one touch and all the feelings come back stronger than ever. Crow is in the middle of a war with another MC and Ray ends up in the crossfire putting her life at risk. Crow feels guilty for put her in that position and exposing her to the dangers in his life, but he doesn’t know if he can survive without her a second time. I wish it had been a bit longer. Both the relationship and the war between the MCs was too short for my taste.
I've not read any other books by Chelle C. Craze and not sure that I'll read any more. I'm not happy I paid $3 for this ....I could have had a coffee instead and been much more satisfied. Crow and Ray were HS loved that grew apart with age, college, career, and the MC. She comes home and after halfway through this book, they get back together.....instantly, after years. Yeah, sure. This book was not particularly original, not at all good. I will have to think twice about paying to buy any other of the Royal Bastards MC books from authors I am less familiar with and that's too bad. I agree with reviewer "Tai-FantasyLandBlog", put these books on KU for a short period of time. I hate to waste my coffee money on crap.
Purchased through Amazon and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is part of the Royal Bastards MC World. This is a 2nd chance love story with a backdrop of a MC club. Quick read. A little sexy time.
Triggers: drugs, assault, killing
**spoilers** Rachel, aka Ray leaves hs boyfriend and her hometown to pursue a career. Logan, aka Crow, stayed behind and became a criminal with his MC. Ray comes home because her dad was dying..she and Crow still have feelings for each other. They have sex. She gets assaulted by a rival MC. HEA
3 stars. Wasn't bad - wasn't a fan of Ray's and then Crow crying? Totally lost me.
An okay book. It had one of my pet peeves in it. Most of it was all head space. Everything was thinking instead of doing.
I've been wanting to read all these Royal Bastards books but this one was a bit disappointing. Ray's father was dieing so she moved back home to be with him and help take care of her Mother but it was her Mother who took care of her. Losing a parent is tragic so in a way I understood and it was good her Mother was the strong one. She even worked it out for Ray's ex to stop by the house unbeknown to him to see Ray.
Logan is the VP of the club and has never gotten over Ray nor her him. With trouble all around is now the time to visit an old relationship?
I love second chance romances and it's what Ray and Crow get here. Years have passed but they are always thinking of each other, even they shouldn't or don't want to. There's some drama and action before they can truly be together and I would have loved to see a little more interaction between them before that but we know most of how they are feeling before their first interaction after years apart. You can't help but root for them.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This MC is from Cleveland and it touches on two people getting a second chance and how life eventually leads to it, a second chance, no matter if something good or bad happens. The writing flows, shows heartfelt moments while keeping things a bit towards the darker side. Crow and Ravin are bonded in many ways and truly these two belong together. A fast paced read that'll shed some light on whats go on in this chapter and possibly what may be coming. Overall I absolutely loved reading this and I'd recommend reading.
A quick, rather uneventful read very disappointing addition to the RB MC series. Bad like me is a second chance contemporary romance in which the MCs met for the first time at 52% into the story and from that point everything happens real quick. That made it difficult to connect with the couple or even really get into the story. The only positive was Ray, with her ink, colored hair and facial piercings. We really need more of her alternative looking characters!
One dissatisfied star for this one. Happy to move on to the next book in the RB MC series.
I was really looking forward to reading this book. To me it was just ok. At best. Ray complained. A LOT. There wasn't any back story on either character and it was just...boring. It needed more than just her dad dying and how sad she was even though she hadn't visited In years. Then you have Logan, I feel like he is the VP of this club, there should have more. No action happened until 54% into the book when they finally meet up after 7 years and the BAM they have sex. Seriously. She knows nothing about the club life and can't handle being tortured and kidnapped or even get off the ground but can stand up and take a bullet she didn't know was coming.
Point is, read at your own risk. I wish I didn't have to pay to read this...
I didn't think this one was quite as thrilling as the 3 I have already read in this series but it is still interesting and has some excitement. There is a suspenseful build up but the big scene is not as intense as I expected, it does have some violence but it is quickly dealt with and over. I felt it was more about two characters reconnecting and even this was more build up than content. A good read but not enough to warrant the 5 stars unfortunately.
Two stars is generous but the book is technically written fairly well as far as things like spelling and sentence structure. Otherwise, it is incredibly boring and the characters have very little chemistry. Much of the story is inner dialogue focused on their pasts. I kept hoping this book would get better but it just didn't. Thankfully, it was short or I would have DNF'd it. The other books in this series have been rather good but sadly this one fell flat.
This is my first time reading this author and although she hasn’t jumped to a must read more author, she has been placed in the I shall read more from her when I see it author. It’s a pretty good MC read, it’s a fairly short book and was worth the time it took to read it. It’s a second chance romance and a pretty well written one at that.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Logan and Ray are amazing together but life happened. Ray is strong but I felt her character was so lost. Logan seemed to be together but wanting more. This story was a good read but there seemed to be more inner dialogue than interacting with other characters in the story. I am looking forward to the next story to see what happens next with this RBMC chapter.
Okay, can I say I love this second chance book? Why? Well let's see, I love how they let each other go to be a better version of themselves. They Love each other fiercely but they gradually came back to each other like they were never apart. Author Chelle and Author Eli Abbott did amazingly well with this one.
