Jess finally gets to relax in Stratton, Texas, for a week of fishing, visiting and enjoying his house on the lake. His rest comes to an abrupt end when he finds out that a professional hired gun by the name of Len Bowden is in Stratton, asking about him.
Jess confronts the gun handler, but after killing him, he finds a map of his hometown of Black Creek, Kansas, in Bowden’s pocket. Jess’s name is printed on the map next to the town. That causes him to be suspicious and he starts heading to Black Creek to find out what it might mean.
Clay Morgan is living on the lake in Black Creek. When he finds out that a killer by the name of Glen Erlander in in town asking questions about Jess, he confronts Erlander and kills him. Morgan finds a map identical to the one Jess found on Bowden. Jess hears this news and starts to put things together.
He heads straight to Black Creek and discovers that he has even more killers coming to find him, but he doesn’t know who they are or when they will arrive.
Librarian's note: There is more than one author in the Goodreads database with this name.
In 1990 Robert J. Thomas was sworn in as the full time mayor for the city of Westland, Michigan. He served twelve years, making him the longest serving mayor in Westland's history.
While he was mayor he wrote his first book titled, How to Run for Local Office, which has now sold over 25,000 copies worldwide.
He has written and published on Kindle, the Jess Williams Westerns series. Retired, he now lives in Mississippi with his wfe Jill.
Ninety books into this series and, for the most part, Thomas' work still keeps me reading. While he has run out of basic stories to tell, he changes them up just enough to keep them interesting.
An RJT. Kansas Western Action Adventure (TP) (JESB - 90)
RJT. has penned a Kansas western action adventure titled "The Plot" which is the 90th novel in the Jess Williams series. Seven men meet at an identified location and discuss how they will ride to Black Creek, Kansas, JW's home town, and attempt to kill JW. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
Another great Jess Williams book with great characters and lots of action. Would highly recommend this series to all that enjoys a great western story.
Doggone it folks someone has put a "BOUNTY" on our friend Jess Williams. It's like an itch you can't seem to get to. Before it was his sister who was mad at him because he shot her lover/Pimp. Now who is sending these cowboy mercenaries to fatally do Jess Williams in. Who can it be Folks?? It's bad, especially if "Shadow"shows up!! The man responsible for this hang nail is, Clay Hyatt, what made him so angry and full of vinegar to hire gun singers to kill Jess Williams by any means necessary, as long as he is dead..what a hot mess AGAIN folks. So let's all read this quick get to the point, no messing around adventure involving our friends. Jess Williams, Gray, Sharps and above all else Shadow. Out on the trail again hunting those " KILLERS "of the innocent..ride on Jess with the sun and warm winds at your back..
The Jess Willims series is still exciting even after ninety stories.
I have read all ninety books in the Jess Williams series and have enjoyed them all. They all contained compaction for people in need and how he is able to help them get ahead in life. Jeez dispatches his share of bad guys.
Cal Hyatt wanted Jess Williams died. He found six other gunslingers , all wanted Jess killed. He gave them a map of Black Creek, Ks, the hometown of Jess so they know where to find him. The people are all friends of Jess because of what he has done for the town. Shadow comes to help Jess. Lots of killings and gunfights.
I enjoyed this book it Jess Williams gets to go back to the place where it all began and how the people of Black Creek are close to Jess and will do whatever it takes to protect their town and him.
Seven desperate men agree to go after Jess in his home town of Black Creek to improve their odds of getting revenge. Shadow joins Jess and other friends to take care of business.
The series was excellent i read all 90 books. The plot was predictable but very good. I was hoping for end to the series. Were he got married and had a family. So it would tie everything togeather with the holster and pistol and the guy who had it made originally.
Jesse Williams series stay interesting with him 1 against 100s of bad guys Nothing surprising ever changes you wonder how long he stayed at his job of Killing----Republicans or Trumpicans?
As always a wonderful 📚. I love these books about Jess Williams bounty hunter. I look forward to book number 91 thank you Robert J Thomas for these awesome 📖
I enjoyed the plot. I really love it when the author includes Shadow, my second favorite character. I'm patiently waiting to read more about Jess's half sister and the schoolmarm, Helen, whom Jess will eventually marry. I'm not sure how old the author is. But, I hope he doesn't drop dead before he gets to Jess's retirement and marriage. Lol! Sorry 😊 I do wish him good health.
I highly recommend the book despite the few errors. However, I made the mistake of signing up for the author's website and my inbox has been constantly filling with junk mail since the. Don't do it! Just like his page at Amazon.
