With this just being a sample, I was surprised that it was good as it was. It starts out with a guy to a football game that she knows nothing about but just wants to be near him. When the kissing camera goes around the stadium, they are one of the couples it stops on, and they do a big kiss for the camera. His girlfriend who he has been dating for three years tells her he has to work and she lives watching the Wildcats play. So she is home alone with all her snacks. At the end of the first ...more

A short, quick, sweet romance read / listen. Fast paced, good narration, nice story line. Everything about the book was pretty good but I think it could have been more. It seemed like these characters were just safe - Kelly is a nurse who can't seem to say no and finds herself being the nurse to a sports celeb who she's harbored a crush on. Kelly's character also comes across very insecure but with the beginning of this read I can see why her character is like this. I do like Hayden and his ...more

At first I found the narrators voice to be too robotic, but I adjusted the speed a bit, and that helped. Once that was taken care of, I could focus on the story. It was kind of hard to get into at first, but it changed around the time she was checking on her patients. I found myself liking the story by that point, and rooting for her. By the end of the story I found myself wishing this was a full length novel, and not just novella length. It is a good concept, and if it was given more time, I ...more

The beginning of this book was kinda weird, but it got better as I continued to read. Kelly went thru a bad breakup with her ex that almost ruined her love of football. Cue in pro-bowler Hayden to shake her world up a bit with his repeated requests she just couldnt say no to. Things were looking up in Kellys world...

Super cute little story about a nurse and her relationship. I really hope that it become a novel that I will definitely be very interested to continue reading. I heard as a audiobook and the narrator was really good.

well, I'm sorry. I was really ready for a short and sweet story, but from the start, it just didn't click. I don't understand the need for a POV of the fling the heroine's boyfriends cheat on with. I can understand insta-lust, but it didn't make sense in this one.
maybe if this was longer, if we had more conflict, maybe if we saw some reaction to the ex-boyfriend, but something in this one didn't work.
I think even the narrator didn't understand what she was narrating...

I really liked the main female character but the football player was kinda creepy. I found it uncomfortable instead of cute or romantic.

I have recently read the last three books that this author has written. When she found out that I hadnt read the short story that she wrote as well she offered to send it to me. I was pretty excited to read it.

Kelly is an avid Wildcat fan. She watches or attends every game. One day her boyfriend of 3 years is unable to attend so she watches
