I read this just to supplement my understanding of SL. A few things hit me that I would NOT have even gotten. Like the interpretation of the last sentence of the book...

Prepping to read "Angel & Apostle" and "Hester". I know it's not as good as the real thing! I just don't have the desire to read "The Scarlet Letter" again, but I last read it in 1987, so the details are a little fuzzy. Hence, the chapter summaries in Cliff's Notes!

i understand the scarlet letter now! i read the orginal but this actually made sense.
