-The Magic of Wor(l)ds blog (https://themagicofworlds.wordpress.com/) is a hobby, reviews and other bookish stuff on this site are done for free.
Im grateful of receiving a free copy from the publisher/author in exchange for an honest review of this book.-

It wasn’t the first time I read ‘The Origins of Yana Paisley’ by Ursula Visser as I was one of the happy few who had the opportunity to read the first draft.
Afterwards I was already quite excited about the storyline so I couldn’t wait to get my

The eponymous scientist Yana Paisley invents extraordinary nanotechnology with a view to healing paralysis. After a horrifying accident, she's saved by her own machine, but suffers a strange side effect that transforms her into a 'transporter', hunted and desired by the unscrupulous.

This novel sits firmly in the hard sci fi genre, being heavy with nanotech based plot. That being said, the characters do shine through the twisted double crossing and I would have enjoyed a little more emotional int
