A medical thriller

Marcus Evans and Tom Jones are again pulled into an investigation concerning blood transfusions, this time in a race against time. A terrorist group has contaminated donated blood with deadly bacteria.

In exchange for a million pounds, they will reveal which blood packs have been contaminated. But the government says they will not bargain with terrorists. When patients receiving transfusions start dying, something must be done.

This was an interesting whodunit. I jumped into this book without reading the first two. No problems there. I wasn’t lost at all.

The main character Tom is an intelligent sleuth with a dry wit. I was drawn in right away and didn’t know the culprit until the reveal - lots of characters. Lots of suspects.

The last five to six chapters were made of fun action. I encourage Puckett to fill an entire novel with this. So well done.

I’d definitely read more by this author.
