3.75 stars - Reviewed for Wit and Sin

Magic and Sin City are simply made for each other, just like Nicholas and Zelda. The bright lights of Vegas and the spectacle of Nicholas’s illusions are a dazzling backdrop for a sleek and sexy romance in Wild Nights .

Nicholas and Zelda are both likeable characters with old wounds that their burgeoning romance brings to the surface. Zelda comes from a famous magic family, but after a trick went horribly wrong in her teens, she’s put the world of magic

Nicholas is a successful magician who is preparing for his next show in Vegas when one of the items in his show goes missing. He has been betrayed one too many times both personally and professionally, so trust is hard for him to give. When his search leads him to Zelda’s shop he is intrigued and attracted to her but believes there is more to her than he knows.

Zelda has a past full of regrets and guilt and all she wants is to maintain the new life she has built and leave her past where it

Wild Nights by Katherine Garbera
Jokers Wild Series

Nicholas Pine and Zelda Quincy meet when she confronts him outside her shop that sells antique magic devices. They chat, he tells her what he is looking for, she says she will let him know if/when it arrives and that should be that BUT there is chemistry. Why? Is it because he is a magician looking for a device that plays a huge part in Zelda’s past it magic….or...perhaps chemistry?

This is a short story that deals with people who have

I love watching Illusions and Magic shows. So, Wild Nights, was awesome I thought. I really enjoyed how they worked their past with the present into the book.

Another really good book from author Katherine Garbera. I don’t think I’ve read anything from this author that I haven’t liked & this book is adding to my tally. It’s interesting with its Magic backdrop, it’s sweet with the blossoming romance between two slightly damaged people & it’s definitely hot when they act on the flirting they’ve been doing. I loved the idea karma & magic had a hand in them getting together. As always there’s a betrayal & mistakes are made in keeping ...more

I was given a free ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I was drawn to this book for three reasons: the cover is great, and not cheesy like some romances, the title doesn't turn me off, and I typically like books published by Entangled. Unfortunately, that is where the allure ends for me.

Right away, I knew I wasn't crazy about Wild Nights. It's written in past tense, making it difficult to truly immerse myself in the story, and Zelda and Nicholas didn't have the kind any

book 2 in the joker's wild series, wild nights, focuses on nicholas pine, master illusionist and gorgeous man. as a magician he's full of superstitions and surprisingly for someone who works in tricks and sleights of hand, he's got some big hang-ups about being lied to.

zelda quincy doesn't lie to him per se. she doesn't talk about her past. or the fact that she's one of the waterstones of the waterstone magic family. she thought she left magic behind after everything that happened, but something

I very much liked Wild a Nights, which surprises me. You see, I hate magic. Hate it with a passion, don’t go to or watch magic shows on tv. It’s just never been my thing. So I wasn’t sure how this was going to go when I was offered an ARC from the publisher. I just hoped that my underlying dislike of something so crucial to the plot didn’t influence how I felt about the book as a whole.
Well, it didn’t. In fact, it made it more interesting, since magic wasn’t the theme, it was just a small part

When Zelda sees the same guy hanging outside her shop 3 days in a row, she confronts him. Turns out he is Master illusionist, Nicholas Pine and is looking for the water chamber stolen from him. Since Zelda put on her website that she will have one soon in her shop, he wants to check if it’s his.
Zelda and Nicholas are drawn to each other from the start, which leads to them being together. Nicholas doesn’t trust easily and knows Zelda is hiding something but their connection is so strong that he

I enjoyed this contemporary romance surrounded by a nice little mystery. Nicholas and Zoe each had things in their pasts that haunted them, made them guarded, but their instant chemistry eased the tension. Watching them work through their issues and into a relationship was nice. The romance itself had a nice bit of

I don't like magic tricks or this kind of shows, but Wild Night surprised me. This is the first time i read something by the author katherine Garbera and is very interesting her writing and the way she make us enjoy in a good way, how the past and the present can be a good reading without to be forcing it.

It's obviously that i fall in love a little bit with Nicholas and the perfect body i imagine all the time, but also understood the reasons Zelda have to hide the baggage of the past, so

A great read, the story of Nicholas and Zelda.
Given her past, the last thing she wants is to get involved with a magician, but once she meets Nicholas she can't help herself.

Looking forward to the rest of this series.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.

Another Joker finds his Queen. Nicholas is an illusionist and only allows a few people to get close to him. Zelda is hiding who she is from everyone around her. Trust doesn’t come easily to either of them. This is a fun, witty and flirty story. Watching the interactions between Zelda and Nicholas reminds me of two lions circling each other to see who will pounce first. They are a sleek couple who’s characters compliment each other perfectly. The characters in this series reflect the fun of Vegas ...more

A gripping romance with mystery and thrill. This book ticks all the boxes for a great novel. This book used magic to add a twist to an emotional tale of love.
