Set in the CRAZY GOOD world, LEGACY will be a crossover novel featuring Aarabelle Dempsey and Luke Hart.
Aarabelle Dempsey always knew her true destiny and master plan. She was merely prolonging the execution by travelling the world for a year after she graduated the Naval Academy. A hidden romantic, she anticipated falling in love at some point. A British up and coming recording artist tempted her with love, but instead of proposing marriage, he stomped on her heart by having a sordid, highly publicized affair with a media mogul debutante.
With Aarabelle's mom, Natalie at the helm of CJJ Public Relations at their San Diego branch, and her Dad, Liam now finishing his career as a SEAL BUD/S instructor in Coronado, she is back to seize what is rightfully hers and heal her broken heart.
Aarabelle will be the first female Navy SEAL.
One teammate, Luke Hart, has his own LEGACY to fulfill, and even though she's off limits, and as complicated as their friendship becomes, Luke finds himself questioning everything about what he thought he wanted.
Luke and Aarabelle might be following the legacy set forth for them by their parents, but the love they find along the journey is legendary...and forbidden.
Rachel grew up in a small, quiet town full of loud talkers. Her words were always only loud on paper. She has been writing stories and creating characters for as long as she can remember. After living on the west coast for many years she now resides in Colorado with her husband, two children, her hairless cat, and her dog, Polly.
This was my first Rachel Robinson book and it won’t be my last I loved Luke and Arra’s story. It was full of ups and downs and characters you want to stab with a rusty spoon. You won’t regret reading Legacy

Where do I begin? I've been not so patiently waiting for this book and I promise it didn't disappoint. This book can be read as a stand alone BUT you are doing yourself a HUGE disservice if you haven't visited Maverick and Liam's books before you read this one. Maverick is from Rachel Robinson's book titled Crazy Good and Liam is from the Consolation and Conviction duet by Corinne Michaels. The characters in this book are Maverick's son Luke and Liam's daughter Aarabelle.
Aarabelle Demsey has grown up as the daughter of two Navy SEALS. Her birth father has his own story, the man that raised her (Liam) formed her beliefs, her loyalty and her love of the Navy. Aarabelle has just graduated from the Naval Academy and while she was able to take some time off or a gap year so to speak, it's now time for her to report to her duty station. She's applied to be the first female Navy SEAL and is accepted into the program. Now, full disclosure here...I wasn't sure how I was going to like a female SEAL...BUT I freaking LOVED HER. She's an amazingly strong character. Doesn't take crap from anyone and is one of those heroines that leaves you wanting to be her bestie.
Luke Hart also grew up in the SEAL community. His father has been a SEAL for years and is in his last years of service as this book starts. Luke is your typical player. Moving through life on his good looks and his title. He loves his job and serving his country. BUT still has some growing up to do. When Aarabelle Demsey comes into the SEAL community his whole world and belief system comes into question. These two spent time together as kids but meeting her as an adult is a whole different story.
Their romance is obviously forbidden. They keep it on lock down for a bit but then things start to come together for them. It's funny and steamy and perfect. There is a balance between their relationship and jobs that makes the perfect balance for this plot line. Both characters are very well developed and it was so good to have the characters I loved from previous books come together in one book again. Both characters kind of grow up and mature together or find their way through some difficult decisions in their lives during this book.
I'm so glad that this book was written when it was in the way that it was. There is the opportunity for a couple of follow up books to be written (cough, cough Rachel.) But let me tell you, there wasn't one part of this book I didn't love. Please do yourself a favor and spend some time with this group of SEALS, I promise you won't regret it.
I love when two worlds collide and the Crazy Good series definitely collided with the Salvation Series in the best way!
Aarabelle Dempsey is a strong confident, independent woman that girls can look up. She’s my spirit person. She’s a go getter and someone who goes after what they want until they reach their goals. Luke knows the military life just like Aarabelle and he has his own goals. Both are part of a legacy and together they will maneuver their chemistry while following the military rules.
Aarabelle fell fast and hard for Luke Hart which is no surprise. Just his dimples alone could make you fall. Their connection was electric and undeniable.
This story was amazing and fit perfectly into Corinne’s world melding the characters perfectly. Rachel weaved an angsty, emotional story with lots of heart mixed with mystery and suspense. From the first page I was lost in the pages and couldn’t put it down. I loved every minute and was entertained from beginning to end.
I suggest reading the Salvation Series by Corinne Michaels before reading books in the Society, but it is not a requirement.
Key Points for this story in the Salvation Society Collection: - Contemporary & Romantic Suspense - Finding that love worth fighting for. - Crazy Good Series connection is Maverick and Windsor from Crazy Good - Salvation Series connection is Liam and Natalie from Consolation Duet

The heroine of this story is the first female Navy SEAL, and with that comes a list of rules, one of which is no fraternising with fellow SEALs. Aarabelle Dempsey has worked too hard to earn her place to risk it for anyone...until she gets to know fellow SEAL, Luke Hart, a little better. Their families have known each other for years, but they're only acquaintances at the beginning. Will they be willing to risk everything to have each other? I enjoyed this romance a lot :D
I really enjoyed this. This is a double crossover from (obviously) the Salvation series, but also from Crazy Good, a book I read earlier this year and REALLY enjoyed. The relationship between Aarrabelle and Luke shouldn't have been and they went through a whole darn lot to make it happen. The journey was worth it though and I really hope this isn't the last we see from the kids of Crazy Good. Thank you to Candi Kane PR and the author for the early copy. I volunteered to leave an unbiased review. All opinions are my own.
Legacy by Rachel Robinson wasn’t my first read by this author, but I can safely say it was her best work to date! Her exceptional writing style had me hooked and heavily invested in the narrative between the main characters right from the start.
The female heroine Arabelle Dempsey is Natalie and Liam's daughter from Corinne Michaels Consolation and Conviction duet. She is a determined, kick-ass-take-no-prisoners type of person who is on her way to becoming the Navy’s first female Navy Seal. Luke, a fellow Seal Team member, is asked by his father to befriend her. Let’s just say the sexual tension between the two was palpable, undeniable, and pure fire. While I'm all for the protector role, I also really enjoy a strong heroine who can hold her own and a male character who isn't threatened by her strength but rather turned on by it.
Looking forward to Rachel hopefully continuing to write using some of the other characters she introduced in Legacy.
We all know that two SEALs cannot be together, fraternizing rules and all that. But when teammates Aarabelle and Luke meet, the attraction is incendiary. The forbidden may not stay hidden for long, jeopardizing two careers, but what's more important? Will they choose love over duty? Love over the rules?
I knew the first time I read Crazy Good that Rachel Robinson's SEALs were something special. With this new crossover, she's just proved why Luke's parents' story is on my short list of favorites - kickass, strong characters, exciting storyline, and hotter than Hades chemistry. I loved this story and can't wait to read more of Robinson's SEALs falling love!
First off, let me start by saying I haven't read Ms. Robinson before THIS book, Legacy. I DO have her Crazy Good series on my TBR (along with a few others) and HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER, WHY I haven't read them is a complete mystery to me! I will also say that I will remedy that ASAP, because I NEED to read more from this author!!!
I LOVED every single thing about this one! Luke Hart and Aarabelle Dempsey have become one of my TOP FAVE couples, EVER!!! I actually wasn't sure I would even LIKE a female Navy SEAL, but the author absolutely nailed it! Aarabelle is one of the strongest female characters, period! Having a SEAL dad, Liam (my personal kryptonite from the Salvation series) and a mom like Natalie, pretty much guarantees that she would be as strong as they come! But she's also very strong-willed and has a mental strength to be envied. Since she was very young, she always knew she wanted to be a SEAL and she didn't let ANYTHING get in her way! When she gets through the Naval Academy (with flying colours!) she is forced to wait for her assignment....and during her gap year, she decides to go to London. She meets and "falls in love" with a musician, who very publicly breaks her heart! The scandal follows her home to the States where the tabloids make her life hell, following her through her SEAL training, which she again proves herself to be SEAL material!
Luke befriends Aarabelle when she is assigned to his SEAL team and it doesn't take long to see the INTENSE mutual attraction between them! SIZZLING comes to mind to describe the chemistry between them, but it is totally forbidden for ANY interaction between team members! The journey to Luke and Aarabelle's HEA is fraught with road blocks, shocking twists and betrayal....and I LOVED every single thing about it!!! I simply couldn't put this book down!
Rachel Robinson has written one of my favourite books in the Salvation Society World and I can't recommend it highly enough! 5 (should be waaaaay MORE) Stars for this UNFORGETTABLE read!!! I NEED to read the Crazy Good series to find out more about the Hart family (especially Maverick and Windsor, Luke's parents!)
Aarabelle Dempsey has always known what she wanted to do...become a Navy SEAL and nothing was going to get in her way. She had SEAL in her blood from her biological father and the man she called Dad. When she meets Luke Hart, there's instant chemistry. But... there are so many rules in place to protect Aarabelle as the only female SEAL. Their relationship is forbidden not only because of the non-fraternization rules but also because Aara is an officer. What Aara doesn't know is that Luke is looking for a loophole in said rules to give them what they both want... a happily ever after.
I loved this story! The characters were well-rounded and multifaceted. I especially loved that the female lead was the one in a position of power, having worked uber hard to get there. She let nothing stand in her way. I loved how the male lead didn't try to knock her down but lifted her up at every opportunity. Their supportive families was also a big draw. This story fits so well into the Salvation world.
I received an advance copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.
Wow, just wow...this story was so remarkable. This forbidden romance not only made me cry on several occasions (which is a huge feat because I don’t cry!) it also had drama, so much sexiness and an overall amazing love story. I couldn’t get enough of Aarabelle with her perseverance, dedication, and strength. Even when she was heartbroken she didn’t let things get the best of her. She proved to everyone she deserved to be not only a SEAL but the first female SEAL. Luke was the typical playboy with the love them and leave them attitude. He had just enough swagger and self confidence to get my attention, even he was affected by Aara and all her greatness. The two of them together were absolutely combustible. All the romance and steam made my knees weak! I also loved the additional family and friends and the bits and pieces that added to Luke and Aara’s story. I was so enthralled by this book that I completely avoided adulting to read it in one day.
Aarabelle isn’t about to let the fact that she would be the first female Navy SEAL stop her from following in her father’s footsteps and carrying on the family tradition. She is fierce, fiery and not about to let anyone or anything stand in her way and that includes her public past.
Luke is also carrying on the family tradition of becoming a SEAL and he is well aware of his popularity with the opposite sex. When Aarabelle becomes part of his team he is asked by his father to help make the transition smoother but what starts out as a friendship turns into a unsanctioned love that neither that can walk away from.
Luke and Aarabelle are the perfect partners both professionally and personally. Their love story takes us on an adventure filled with intrigue, emotion and steam that will entertain you from beginning to end.
I greatly enjoyed this one! These characters were amazing and I even loved the supporting characters. In a typical Navy Seal story, man saves woman after she’s been in some sort of danger. Not this one - Aarabella is her own hero! She doesn’t need a man to save her. And luckily, her man learns this pretty quickly.
Aarabella has trained her whole life to become a Navy Seal... and now she is one. In fact, she’s the first ever female to become one. And she seems to already be accepted by several of the Seals in her graduating class. To help her be accepted quicker by the senior Seals, Luke’s dad suggests he vouch for her and become her friend. Sounds like a great premise of a story, right??? I don’t want to give anything away so I won’t say more.
4.5 stars. This is the first book by Rachel Robison and really enjoyed it. Arabelle has always known what she wanted— to be a Navy SEAL like her father. She knows that it won’t be easy since she is the first female to get this opportunity. Luke Hart is also a SEAL and just like Arabelle, his father is also a SEAL, so he understands the pressure. This was a great story of Arabelle working for what she always wanted and Luke learning that his bachelor ways were not meant to last. This is not an easy road considering there is a no fraternization rule now that Ara is a SEAL. I also really enjoyed seeing those from the Salvation Series in the book. Definitely worth the read!
Wage a fierce war and create a legacy of your own choosing
I don't think I love a couple more of Corinne Michaels than Natalie and Liam Dempsey. So getting Aarabelle's story was so perfect.
I love that while this is a love story, it's also about being strong on your own. As a female to pave a way in SEAL history was a great thing to read. The strength it took for her to be pinned, she proved she belonged above all measures. Luke was a legacy on his own, but I think his journey was about finding that one to cherish above ALL! Watching "Lil Dempsey" and Hart build their foundation was great and their chemistry was off the charts. Some of the supporting characters made me so angry in their pettiness, but I know people are definitely like that in real life.
I will say I WASN'T happy about Aaron's role in this book, but it was a beautiful thing to know Aara loved Liam with everything, because he chose to be the father she truly deserved. I will say I was disappointed that she called him dad, he was and will always be her Athair.
I enjoyed watching Aarabelle as a strong woman and you will too.
This book makes me think of the song that goes "I am woman, hear me roar! I am too great to ignore!" It's a military romance about the perseverance of a woman in the military. It is supurbly written, with an outstanding, totally unpredictable plot.
Aarabelle is going through the process of turning her life around. She reveals to the reader that it’s not only men who serve our country – thank you for your service. Hers is a job that shows there’s no favor based on gender. Luke shows how much tougher it is for women to be accepted in what used to be a men’s only world.
The author did a great job of building the military world around Aarabelle and Luke first before showing the personal side of these two characters. She knew what to give us without bogging down the story so that a reader might feel lost as to what the true story is. It’s a slow build but not overly slow that you’ll want to put the book down.
It was nice to see how our author added to a world by another author as well as continue a story that she had created previously. You won’t need to read it though in order to enjoy this one but you may want to see what these current secondary characters were up to earlier on. And if you’re a fan of military romances that may be another reason to see what Luke did previous to this. The ending was nice but felt that it came to a dead stop – it seemed like it needed to go on for a little longer to give me a sense of finality.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Gah! Where to begin?? Holy Sh!t Aara is a total BADA$$❣️ She’s smart, compassionate & a total BA...and Luke is her exact counterpart! Holy hot alpha bada$$! They complete each other:)
I know Corinne said she could never make Aaron a redeemable character but Rachel absolutely did! I absolutely choked when Aara & he spoke @ Maytons😢 He helped her be the heroine in her own Legacy:)
This is a whole different read that i don’t normally read. This read had me hooked from the very beginning and was loving how this story was written so beautifully.
This is the first time I read a book by this author and ooo my lanta I was not disappointed at all! I want more to be honestly! I went on this crazy roller coaster and did not want to get off of it. I loved the characters and their friends and family. The connect they have with each other and others was written so well it was like watching a movie instead of reading.
Before I read Legacy, my expectations were very high. Rachel has been preparing her readers that Legacy was going to revisit characters in the Crazy Good world, a previous (masterful) work of hers. As I read Legacy, not only were all of my expectations met, but they were surpassed as I got transported back into the bittersweet world. Legacy was hard to finish only because I didn’t want to leave Aarabelle and Luke (and by extension, Windsor and Maverick!) It’s a balancing act to be able to create a character (Aarabelle) who is strong enough to stand on her own and wage her own battles while creating a perfect match for her (Luke) who will catch her if she asks to be caught. This is the scale of Rachel’s skill- she can create two pieces of a whole who are strong enough to be alone but better together. Aarabelle and Luke are a great team and I loved reading their story.
Thank you for giving us a glimpse into the Hart world. Thank you for writing Aarabelle’s and Luke’s stories (yes plural!)
This is another masterpiece in the books (ha!)
To a hundred more masterpieces! (Let’s start with Marley!)
The second set of releases for The Salvation Series are here and let me tell you, I loved Legacy by Rachel Robinson. This is Aarabelle’s story from The Consolation duet. I was both excited and scared to read this one. I have loved Aarabelle from the start and all the snippets we have had of her through the years, but Rachel Robinson gave us a story worth her legacy. See what I did there?
Aarabelle has a plan and she is determined to reach it. She is going to be the first female SEAL and nothing will stop her. The men in her life, from Corinne Michael’s Salvation series, have had a huge impact on her life, Especially the man who raised her and my ultimate Corinne book boyfriend, Liam. The road ahead of her will not be easy. Luke is also ready to be a SEAL. They have known each other for most of their lives but seeing her as a woman changes everything. But as possible future teammates, they are each forbidden to the other.
I absolutely loved Legacy by Rachel Robinson. Luke and Aarabelle’s story was emotional and heartfelt and I devoured it!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog. Happy reading!
Oh wow this was my first read from this Author and what an introduction. I was gripped from page 1 and completely enraptured. Rachel wrote a brilliant storyline filled with emotion, steam, friendship.
I really did like the spin Rachel put on this. She made Aarabelle such a strong, feisty, kicka** woman. She has fought hard for everything she has and is working hard for her new goal, to be the first female Seal! Shes passed all the tests and made the Team but she had no idea the real test would be in the shape of her teammate Luke.
The connection between them is off the charts hot and palpable. They have to ride this fine line of professionalism, as fraternization is against the rules but it just builds their connection up. Once they give into their feelings they can practically burn the place down with how hot it is. Their love is a forever, one of a kind one.
Once I started this one I didn't want to put it down until I had finished it but when I was near the end I didn't want it to finish.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review from the Author and Candi Kane PR
Rachel Robinson is a new author to me but when I learned Arabelle would be getting her own story, I knew this book was one I needed to read.
Arabelle has decided to follow in the footsteps of her dad, Liam. Being a SEAL is embedded in her soul. Both her birth father and Liam served. It's all she has wanted but being the first female SEAL comes with its own set of problems. There are rules set in order that become difficult to obey when she meets Luke.
Luke has followed on his fathers footsteps to serve his country. He has never wanted to put a woman at the top of his priorities. He couldn't fathom balancing his career with a relationship. Because of that he has a reputation as a player. That all changes when he meets Ara though. Problem is, his past plays a part of his present.
It's against the rules for them to be together. There are obstacles that stand in their way. But their is a connection that can't be ignored.
I loved the way the author brings the two series together. I did not read her series but I have it on my list to do so. This author definitely impressed me. Arabelle gets closure with her biological father as well and to me that is an added bonus!
Legacy is such an awesome story of #GIRLPOWER that I'm ready to read it again. Aarabelle is a bada** female who is training to be the first female SEAL, and she's not going to let anyone stand in her way because it's in her blood. However, she didn't plan on meeting Luke, and they have some lethal chemistry. Luke also comes from a SEAL, so it's in his blood as well, but he couldn't stay away from Aarabelle to save his life. There's just one huge problem, there's 0 tolerance for fraternization so it gives them that forbidden aspect, and we all know how we get when we're forbidden to do something, the connection & chemistry builds up more & more until it won't be denied. As the lines get blurry, which kept me on the edge of my seat waiting, will they get past everything in their way or be over before they start?! Hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
Wow! Rachel never lets me down when it comes to her stories. Now combine her world with Corrine Michaels'....lets just say I was blown away. I don't think I've ever read a heroine like Rachel has portrayed here. Strong. Independent. Take no sh*t from anyone. Araabelle is determined to make it on her own without the help of her father and receiving any special treatment. And boy does she prove everyone wrong in their assumptions about her. I loved Luke. I mean, maybe I'm partial to Hart men but there's just something about Luke that makes you fall in love with him. I wish I could read this book again as if I was reading it for the first time and experience all the feelings with each word all over again. Definitely one story I'm going to reread over and over again.
No cliffhanger Standalone though about kids from 2 other novels Told from both POVs Navy Seal Romance
I love Rachel Robinson and finding out this book was a spin off of Crazy Good I ordered it immediately. Overall I loved the book. It was the great mix of banter, chemistry, drama and love. I just found that it was also a little bit choppy and hard to follow. I couldn’t always tell how much time had passed between events and the female character seemed to do 180s really quickly on certain things that gave me a bit of whiplash.
Beyond that though, if you like Navy Seal romances this is a good one. The chemistry is immediate and off the charts.
The only thing I’m bummed about is she never found out why he gave her the bull horns symbol. I feel like that would have been a cute moment for him to reveal in the epilogue or something.
First read for Rachel Robinson- I am a fan and will be reading more of her work. That said this book is Aarabelle's story Liam and Natalie's daughter and I love love love her. She is strong, cool, fiesty and her daddy's daughter for sure. As I read the first chapter all I could think about was GI Jane the movie with Demi Moore. But this book is so much more than just her desire to be a Navy Seal. She meets Luke, not remembering much of meeting him when they were kids. But Luke remembers her. I love how he changes his ways and how incredible both characters are. I love Liam and Natalie in the background of the story. and I want to read Maverick's book. This might be my favorite in this whole series so far, though I loved all of the stories. Thank you Corinne for sharing your characters with so many great new authors to me.
