“ Jah” is the second book in the "Them Boys” novella series by Alexandria House. I won’t draw this review out lol. This was a fast-paced book with lots of steamy scenes and a twist that I didn’t see coming. I think Jah just might be my favorite brother so far ( sorry Set lol). Looking forward to reading the third installment. Hope I don’t have to wait too long!

What can I say, this author knows what she's doing when she writes a story. Jah was an interesting hero - protective, cared about the heroine, a little thuggish, and had a vulnerable side. Tricia was likeable and perfect for him. I'm glad she got away from her ex.

The story is short but reads like a full-length novel, with plenty of sex and a believable progression of the relationship between the two main characters.

Now I have to go back and read Set, the older brother's story.

This story focuses on the youngest brother, Jah and the catalyst to his healing that comes in the form of a loud-mouthed 42 years old named Tricia. Again, this story is heavy on the erotica. I mean the sex is what leads to his healing. How powerful is her yoni? lol Sorry, I couldn't help it. If you look at this story on the surface all you will notice is the sex. What you will be missing is the healing that occurs and the concept of soul ties. The sex will hook you, but the love will make you ...more

So glad Jah and Tricia made the right decision. Loved their story

Jah (or Yah) is also a short form, the first syllable of Yahweh.

We first met Jah in his brother's "Set" book. We see Jah knocking out Kareema's ex-husband and then driving her best friend Trish home. What we realize now in reading Jah's book is that him and Trish have been seeing each other since then.

Trish is so many women's stories, being in a relationship that at first believed to be really going somewhere but only to realize after a year in that it's not and as the time ticks on by, you

Jah... Man!

The Mitchell Men aren't a joking matter. And when one of them decided you're his girl, you're his girl, no point in debating them. But, for real, the story had me shouting and singing a chorus of tunes, asking the House Lady where she found this level of Magic. To top it off, the leading ladies always add a little umph to the story. Tricia had more to offer a real man than she realized. After spending seven years in near captivity, to having her freedom with a guy named Jah was raw

Them Boys

I absolutely love them boys. Who can resist them there grimey, crazy and we know a little crazy could be sexy as hell. Jah is the baby boy of the three brothers. Tricia is kareema best friend. Jah and Tricia come together just on pure attraction. This is a wonderful story so well-written the flow was so natural just a great job as always .

So good!

Okay, I love Jah!! Tricia and Jah were so good together; in a way, they saved each other. Jah was so messed up in the head but that didn’t scare Tricia away. They found love with each other. I love it!

Jah Rasta!!!I know this was a novella but this came off as a full length novel to me. Whew! I know I loved me some Set but Jah was just as intense but there is just something about him that has me biting my lips! . I will just say I LOVE THESE DAMN BOYS!!!This novella was hot, funny and forbidden. Ms House was able to take a taboo subject and flip it to where you are rooting for the couple who just isn’t making the best decisions .They were so good together. The way the loved each other, ...more

There is just something about these Mitchell men.

They work hard. Play hard. And love hard.

Jah is no exception. If you loved Set (you should) you will adore Jah. He's the big little baby of the family.

Tricia didnt stand a chance. His heart is so pure she just couldnt help but want it to belong to her.

I won't spoil anything but I will say that Tricia got one of the most important things from Jah. Not just love..she got loyalty.

I need Shu's story immediately honestly. I'm in love with these

This one was better

I loved Set, but I loved Jah even more. You could feel his pain and his need for love a little more.

Now how long I gotta wait for Shu?

I don’t know how I feel about this one. My initial impression is that I don’t really like it. But I gave it an extra star because I’m Nigerian and it mentions jollof rice (which is an A1 Classic ) and Gizdodo (which I’m not a fan of, but is a modern classic) AND the hero cooks this Nigerian food even though he isn’t Nigerian and there are no actual Nigerians in the book except a trifling ex. But it is fine.

Anyway, I found the story line of this a little messy and intersection-y and it

Jah and Tricia

These Mitchell brothers are off the chain. Jah follows Set, with his crazy self and manages to steal a piece of my heart as well. Jah has been through a lot, as discovered with his brother's story, but to see how he copes with his trauma was heartbreaking, but it doesn't take away from his masculinity. Tricia is drawn to him like a moth to a flame, and who can blame her. The discovery of who she's really dealing with and how Jah is connected was interesting. Their connection

Dem Mitchell Boys!

Yeesss! Jah, is the truth! Rough around the edges, and crass, but had a heart of gold. Heartbreaking to hear how his father's actions as a child, still affect him today. Tricia, was hysterical, with her loud talking self. I felt so sad for her, allowing herself to be mistreated, just to be taken care of by her "so-called" man. Jah and Tricia, could not stay away from each other. Their chemistry was explosive! The love that Jan had for her was soul stirring! Glad she left that

It's crazy how both Set and Jah starting with sex than came love but the were sooo different. Jah's emotional state from what his father did really did a number on him. If still affected Set but you can tell Jah took it just as hard if not harder. The way that him and Tricia loved each other it's almost as if the universe knew and they never crossed paths because they needed the things in their lives to happen first. I loved how they are with each other though, all the things she was looking

The Rastafarian

Ooooooohhhhhweeeeee, I'm loving these Mitchell Boys...Set, Jah, and can't wait for Shu. I said in Set and Kareema's book review that I felt like Jah and Tricia was going to hook up and I'm so glad that I was right. They're the calms to each other's storms and I love the fact that they were so connected that she came to him when he was emotionally and mentally calling out for her. Saul didn't value what he had at home with Tricia but Jah saw, loved, and appreciated the light inside

I Love Them Boys!

It's not just that Jah & Set are big and sexy, because yes Lawd, they are that and then some! But I love that these big, strong men can be open and vulnerable with their women. Jah was still dealing with PTSD from his childhood abuse, but Tricia was a balm to his wounded soul. And Tricia was starved for genuine affection and Jah's all encompassing passion was exactly what she needed. I was shocked by their mutual connection, but I'm glad it didn't stop their progression.

Yas Jah

I knew Jah was going to be crazy. This story hit me with a twist I didn't see coming. I wish there was a little more at the end, not in a bad way though. I just want to know what really happened to Saul and what they really talked about.
Now I can't wait for Shu. I know he is going to be something special. It's always the quiet ones that are to freakiest and have the most issues.

I am so in love with this book. Jah and Trisha are so very very cute together, and Jah is indeed a GOD!

The controlled chaos of the writing invites you in and beckons you to take a seat and enjoy the show. The pacing is phenomenal which led to this being a page turner.

This was everything I expected and more and it was worth all my time. Supporting characters from ‘Set’ are back to add to the fun, adding nothing but color and excitement.

I think you will enjoy this book .
Jah. Jah. Jah. He was so fun! Dang I want him though. I thought Set put it down, but Jah! The Gawd. He had the right name. I felt like this one was a little angsty and I loved it. It was written in the past/present format and that added to my anxiety. I didn't know what would happen and I was scared for the characters at times. Yes, it was a novella but it packed a punch. A little action, a lot of hawt sex, and amazing characters. So freaking good! Next book please!

Well, I got what I wanted.

I wanted Jah's story from the second he walked out the door with Trish in 'Set'. Something about the combination of his playful demeanor and his hulking build had my heart pounding. He was no disappointment. I wasn't expecting him to be so sinfully delicious yet vulnerable at the same time, it made his character even more attractive. I loved Set and I don't know what quite hold Shu will have on me, but Jah, Jah is gawd!
