BLOOD LIES (“Lies” Mystery Thriller Series Book #5) by Andrew Cunningham is the new book in the “Lies” series featuring Del and Sabrina. I enjoyed listening to the last book in audiobook format and I listened to this one, too. The mystery plot in all the books can be read/listened to as a standalone, but the characters evolve in each and I feel they are more enjoyable in order.

Del Honeycutt has just fully recovered from his and Sab

Another great installment for Del and Sabrina!

When Sabrina is shot on a busy street, police suspect a deranged fan. But it soon becomes clear the bullet was meant for Del. The guilt he feels is soon joined by anger then curiosity when it appears the shooting is connected to Del’s murdered father, whom he was estranged from for most of his life.

The pacing is quick but smooth as more attempts are made on Del’s life as he tries to figure out why. He’s being followed by shadowy Ch

Blood Lies

I always enjoy the mysteries involving Sabrina and Del. There are always things I don't see coming. However, having been born in Fairfield, although I haven't been back there for decades, I wonder what Mr. Cunningham has against it? Lol!

Spies, millions, murder - what more would you want!

Not only does this book have all of the above, but also likable characters - both primary and secondary - appropriate villains, and a lively plot. All of that plus humor and a bit of romance.

Loved this whole storyline. Poor Dal didn't know his father from Adam! Positively loved the book from page one to the end. Loved how smart the female author is and gutsy too. Highly recommend this book!

This is my 3rd book by this author and I have enjoyed each. Learning disturbing things about your Father leads to a life and death situation. The mystery breaks down in a way that holds your interest. I found the story to be very entertaining

I ripped through the first four "Lies" books, and then took a breath. Read some non-fic, a few heavy novels where I had to look up a word every third page, even three chic-lit books. Came back to find this book, and it was great!
I was so pleased to meet up with my favorite doofus, Del Honeycutt. It was like meeting old friends again, catching up.
If you didn't read the other Lies books, there is sufficient back story to fill you in. Jump in!

Death Came Knocking for Both Del and Sabrina but It Missed Them

In this the final book in the Lies Mystery and Thrilling Series all four characters, namely Sabrina, Del, Mo and Jack faced multiple threats of death in unraveling Del’s father’s crimes and the truth behind his death. Another good light read that was hard to put down.

Sabrina a world famous author with Del, seems they are always investigating some mystery. This time she has been shot, detective asking if she had enemies. Abusive husband who she killed and given prison sentence had brothers, they might. They got the bullet out, gave it to a detective, had a badge, there was no person that name

What a wonderful series filled with love laughter and suspense. The characters are ones you know from your own family tree and have you rooting for them through all obstacles. Please don't keep us waiting too long for the next adventure.

It’s hard to believe that we’re five books into this series. At this point, I barely even think of it as a series anymore because Del and Sabrina have become more like old friends. I can always count on them for an entertaining listen. For those who aren’t familiar with The Lies series, each book can stand alone. Andrew Cunningham gives enough backstory so that a new reader won’t be lost, but it’s not so much that a regular of the series will feel like it’s repetitive. However, I have to say tha ...more

This is a captivating murder mystery that moves at a steady pace with a few twists and turns along the way.

Narrator Greg Hernandez does a great job of bringing the characters to life-enhancing the story with unique voices for each. His tone and pace will hold your attention and adds depth to this tantalizing story.

This is the fifth installment in the series but can be read/listened to as a stand-alone. If you are new to the series, the author weaves enough background along the way so that it’s e

Very enjoyable read

Another great adventure for Sabrina and Dell. This story drags Dell back into his father's somewhat murky past and whilst no love was lost between the two, what they dig up about his Dad's past makes Dell question everything, including his belief that his father 's murder, at the hands of a jealous husband was deserved.

This adventure brings back both Mo and Jack but to a lesser extent than in previous books. We see Sabrina hospitalised twice, and Mo in critical condition follo

The continue story of Del and Sabrina they seem to never get out of trouble but creating more from Del father side of the family. He lives a life of not really knowing his father or his father's male side of the family all he knows is what he has read or rumors of a line of idiots and theives. You can not go wrong listening to this serie it is a non stop action of intrigue, murders and meeting realy strange and sometimes screwie characters who the narrator brings to life and you are sitting on t ...more

A rather good read to my happy surprise

After checking some reviews I decided to give this book a shot and even after I realized it wasn't quite what I was looking for it still held my interest. That tells us something. It's fast paced, not loaded with too much confusing activities and the main characters are totally likeable (despite him being descended from a long line of idiots). Plus the "bad guys" are not over the top. Oh and nice to get away from the standard rude, snide, obnoxious aggravat

A great read couldn’t and wouldn’t put it down.

The author gets right into the story with the first words of the first chapter. No long detailed explanation of who was who and where was where just story. Thank you mr Cunningham. He holds you in suspense and intrigue through the whole book so you have to keep reading to find out what happens next. It has been awhile since a read a book completely in one day but this book did it for me. Thanks again for a great read.

Good for a rainy day

I’m in self isolation, this book was a great distraction from what is going on in the country. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to read another by this author. Too predictable

Breezy yet serious as a heart attack

I have not read any previous “Lies” books, but prior knowledge isn’t necessary to enjoy this quick-moving, geographically diverse who-what-why and how.

Close to home.

Having lived most of my life in Massachusetts, I could relate to the town's mentioned in the story. The characters were entertaining and the story flowed. I really enjoyed it.

Fun and easy read.
The story flowed well but was predictable at times. Having not read the previous books in this series, I found there was enough backstory to read this as a stand alone and understand the characters.

This was one of the best series I've read since this COVID 19 lockdown, now in its second month. I read the whole "LIES" series in four days. I'm very impressed with the author, and wish there was another adventure with Sabrina and De!.

I liked the book for the most part. All the men characters seemed to swoon over Sabrina and that grew old quick. Also too much information was given about past books in the series.

I just finished a marathon reading of Cunningham books with this one, the 5th in a series about Sabrina and Del. I’ve enjoyed each one; they were fairly short and easy to read, full of action; and filled with like able characters.

Slow, very detailed, interesting story and plot. Storyline was very easy to follow . The heroine superbly handles the numerous near death episodes to live another day. Good read.
