Second chance at romance? Like hell, and definitely not with the girl next door.

Dane Moon is the troublemaker of the family, and his latest screw-up was marrying a Vegas stripper. Or was it that she married the male dancer? Either way, that chapter of his life’s over, along with the marriage. He’s back in Colorado on the family homestead, attempting to pick up the broken p

Book two in The Moon Ranch series brings Dane and Brennah's story. The author once again brings strong characters and weaves an emotional and entertaining story line. She does a great job developing the story and brings it to life with her descriptive and detailed scenes. Their chemistry is strong and I loved watching them work through the issues and come together along the way. It's well written, moves fluidly and I loved reading. I would recommend this book.

The emotional intensity of this book blew me away!

So, right from the start Dane is no one's idea of a hero. He's still fighting the demons of his childhood, which puts him on the road back to his hometown simply for lack of an alternative. Once there, he's got a lot to prove, not only to the townspeople and his brother, but mostly to himself. But first, he manages to confront his father and exhibit the same exact lack of respect for a particular law that his brother did at the beginning of the f

"Screwed and Satisfied" is the second book in the Moon Ranch series, only this time, we have the pleasure of getting to know brother, Dane Moon. Our first introduction to Dane was of him following closely in his worthless father's footsteps-- drunker than a skunk. His life as a Las Vegas male dancer and married to a stripper was hitting rock bottom, as he finds himself faced with owing money to a loan shark, beat up and with his truck taken away as payment. His wife is divorcing him and there is ...more

Dane Moon returned to Las Vegas after his father's funeral, and he decided he no longer belonged there so he quit his job after his wife left him returning to Stokes, Colorado. There he ran into an old school mate, the now new veterinary, Dr. Brennah Peterson, who has bought the ranch next to the Moon Ranch. They soon start up a relationship that Dane does not feel he deserves with the way he keeps messing up his life. Brennah does not feel like she has time for a relationship. Will these two wo ...more

The second book in Em Petrova’s Moon Ranch tackles the ongoing issues of three brothers returning to the family homestead after the death of their abusive father. In Tough and Tamed, Zayden defied all odds, and discovered that he actually adored this land and found his forever love while battling his conflicting emotions.

But in Screwed and Satisfied, middle brother Dane, has returned home burdened by a failed marriage, bad decisions, and the very real possibility that a chain of nefarious events

This second book is Dane's story of love and redemption. He is the brother that looks like their father and pretty much acts like him. He's a male dancer in Vegas, married to a stripper (not happily) and content to spend his days drunk and gambling. Sure he made it into Stokes after the old man's funeral but didn't stay. He took $15,000 from their joint account to give to his brother to help pay some of the debt his father left all over the county. After the loan shark's goons stop her at her jo ...more

Dane left town the first time he got. He had a mean drunk as a father and his mother was long gone. When he decided to come back because his big brother was in charge of the ranch and his father was dead, he meets the neighbor.

Brennah is the town veterinarian but she's planning on moving to a bigger place. Then the teenage boy whom she had a crush on comes back a hot grown-up man and suddenly she's not so sure if she really wants to leave town.

I love the characters in this story, both Dane and B

Brennah is the new-ish vet in town, and she's super busy because she also owns a small ranch with a variety of animals. Dane is back in town, newly divorced and an unemployed male dancer, trying to stay ahead of the loan shark after his hide. Their first meeting was lol-funny. They're both facing the same demon (an alcoholic parent), and he has two of his own - drinking, and the gambling that already has him in hot water. This book is just a terrific followup to the first of the series. Brennah ...more

Dane has made a lot of mistakes and now that he is divorced he is trying to do better. However he left a debt in Vegas that just might follow him back to the family ranch. His brother lets him stay only if he stays sober. What his brother doesn't know is that his first night back he was drunk and passed out in a neighbor's barn. Brennah is shocked to see a drunk man in her barn and when normal tactics don't wake him she drags him out with her tracker until she can get him up. Dane is somewhat em ...more

First, let me say, this is a book with a very misleading title. Very. Misleading. It actually led me to believe that I would probably be wasting my time reading it, as I wasn't in the mood for straight sex. I wanted a good story. If you look at the title on this book, your head will automatically go to erotica and stay there.

Here is an erotic story with incredibly hot sex, served up with a well crafted, screw-up in the past, kind of character in Dane, one of three brothers in the Moon Family. T

What an amazing and heartbreaking book this was.

First I have to say, that I loved the character of Brennah. She is strong, loyal, caring and a hard worker. This woman never sits down!! I loved the care and compassion she has not only for animals but also people. I liked that she had heard all the rumors about the Moon boys but she didn't believe it. She gave them the benefit of the doubt to prove what kind of men they are. I liked that she was the first one to get Dane but also be the first one

Having signed divorce papers, beaten up and truck taken by guys sent to collect on his gambling debt, Dane Moon leaves Vegas to return to Moon Ranch. At the time getting drunk seemed like a good idea since he was going to visit his old man's grave first. Turns out that probably wasn't the best one.

Veterinarian Brennah Peterson bought the ranch neighboring the Moon's.  She doesn't have time for a drunk cowboy sleeping in her barn. When cold water in his face doesn't work she ties him to her tract

Screwed and Satisfied is the second book in the Moon Ranch series, but could be read on its own. Dane has no money, no woman, and no car when he arrives back at his family ranch. Brennah is his neighbor, the very capable veterinarian, and the woman he can’t take him mind off of. Drawn together and wanting more, will his past drive them apart?

A bit of a slow burn at first, I absolutely loved Dane and Brennah’s romance! I loved that this book was a little longer, so that we could dig deeper into

Dane, the blacksheep of the family, leaves Las Vegas, his loan shark and his ex-wife and returns home. When he gets into town, he meets some of his father's old friends and proceeds to get drunk. Dane's father was the town drunk and Dane never wanted to follow in his footsteps. When he leaves the bar, he walks home and ends up sleeping in the neighbor's barn. Brennah had gone to school with Dane and had always found him handsome. She was very quiet in school and tried to keep her alcoholic mothe ...more

The Moons are back!

From a childhood none of them could put enough distance from, the brothers were going to make a new mark on their hometown. This time out Dane was going to get a chance at redemption. And love…

I loved Dane’s character. He was not your typical male romance lead. Oh, he was a gorgeous cowboy, no doubt about that but he was not perfect by any stretch of the imagination. In the first book in the series there was all the bad in stark display with glimpses of the good pee

Oh, this was one hot, read I mean. Their chemistry was as hot as the fire that burned in Brennah's field.
Dane didn't think he was good enough for the good Doctor--of animals. Brennah understood more than most what it's like to grow up with an alcoholic parent. These two had to learn to trust, Brennah had to trust Dane, but first Dane had to trust himself.
Old man Moon left a heck of a legacy for his three sons, they found more and more of it as time went on. They learned long ago to be

Dane Moon is quite a troublemaker, as evidenced by his marrying a Vegas stripper. He is divorced now and back home in Colorado on the family homestead, trying somewhat to turn his life around. From all appearances, it doesn’t look hopeful.

When veterinarian Brennah Peterson finds Dane passed out drunk in her barn, can’t awaken him and drags him out of there with her tractor – well, the reader can see that lady can handle herself and Dane won’t be getting away with much anymore!

Another Moon brother has to come to terms with his past and chosen to make a different future. I love that they fall hard and after some head knocking, Dane knows he can’t let Brennah go.

Dane was vulnerable when he finally admitted his feeling and asked for help. When he spoke to Esme about it, it brought out a side you didn’t see often and that made him more intriguing.

There are some hard conversations here and pasts that are not so pretty. But I love that Esme and then Dane, choose to move pas

I am enjoying the Moon Ranch series. This book served to confirm how much damage a bad parent could do to a kid's self esteem. Dane didn't believe in his self worth because of his father and his upbringing.

When he returned to Moon Ranch, that was one of a few shadows hanging over his head. Brennah was strong, intelligent, open minded, and independent. Where it not for that, her initial meeting with Dane might well have been their last encounter.

This book had a steady pace that kept me engaged t

4.5***** stars. Dane is the youngest and wildest Moon brother. He’s back on the ranch when life in Vegas starts circling the drain. He has some drinking issues he needs to address if he wants to get anywhere with Brennah, the veterinarian. Not all the town residents believe that the irresponsible Moon boys have turned over a new leaf so they are not very welcoming. Dane is next in line to prove it if he plans on living there long term. Screwed and Satisfied (Moon Ranch) by Em Petrova. This story was so heartfelt for me, both main characters have a not so nice past that always seems to have a way of sneaking into their now. Dash is so complex; I found his character to be very intriguing in the fact that he had so much to give but never saw any of the good in himself. Brennah was made to be his better half. Together they are able to conquer life’s challenges and experience it’s beauty. And THANK YOU Ms. Petrova for allowing Bren ...more
