A beautifully evocative story and engaging mystery that draws you in from the first page to the last. I was thoroughly fascinated with the world of Damos, female servants of the police in the Joseon era who acted as detectives in a time when the role of women was secondary to men. The heroine in plucky and determined, fighting to achieve justice and overcome powerlessness.
