So he chose his best friend and her son who’s not even his over the heroine? He’s hurt and hates the heroine because she thought he slept with his friend, the one he protected and continued protecting even after promising a future to the dumb twat? What do you expect when she saw with her own eyes how you protected and loved this OW. I don’t mind that he saw this OW as his “sister” but to choose her son and her over the heroine is shitty!
Don’t you just love how authors make drama just for the sake of it?
Asshole just stood there, telling the heroine that he could explain that it wasn’t what she thought. Why not yell it to her if she wasn’t letting you explain it to her?
And the worst of all the heroine gets treated like the town pariah by his mother because he was too much of a pussy to tell everyone that he did not get the OW pregnant. His mother was like you make one mistake of supposedly “cheating” and she’s pissed that heroine left him. Cheating is not a mistake is a choice (yeah, yeah there was no cheating but still. This woman defended her son even though she thought he had cheated on the heroine) Excuse me lady, don’t blame a woman because your son is a pussy. For choosing to protect the OW and her son over the heroine, you know the woman he promise to loved her until their end of time? If you’re going to blame someone blame your son and his supposedly best friend.
The heroine gave birth to a stillborn baby meanwhile hero was happy raising a son that wasn’t even his. The heroine not only had him chose another woman and her son but she also lost her own baby and she was the one who was asking for forgiveness.
After they had their “talk” he still couldn’t defend the heroine in front of his mother. He still wasn’t man enough to tell his mother that it was really his fault that this happened. So in this lady’s eyes the heroine will and always be a stand in for “his” son mother.
This man has no balls. After they had a talk with his mother about her treating the heroine like shit on her shoes he still did not tell her that his son was not really his. Why hide the fact that this boy wasn’t his son? This OW still wanted the hero to be her son’s father.
And we still don’t know what the real father did to deserve not knowing his child. . Unless he’s a killer, rapist or pedophile then I don’t support them not telling him about his child. I guess the author wanted to leave some drama for the OW book.

What if they'd just talked? I managed this far out of curiosity and found out that they'd got together again because they simply talked.

5 stars and all the feels!
The beginning of a new series for Natasha Madison, something a little bit different from her, and oh, I loved it so much!
Before the gushing commences, I have to admit that I had some mixed feelings before I even started reading this book. The blurb alone freaked me out. I am not a fan of unnecessary angst, and from that blurb that’s what I thought we were going to get. But I love Natasha’s books, so there’s no way I wasn’t going to read it, and OMG, I’m so happy that I did! This book is dramatic and complicated… and yes, it’s angsty… but it works to build the story and create an absolutely BEAUTIFUL second-chance-romance that completely swept me up in its charm, longing, emotion, and soul-deep love, and I absolutely loved this book!
Kallie and Jacob were childhood sweethearts, and the golden couple of their small, southern country town. They were it for each other, everybody knew it, and they were planning their life together when everything suddenly fell apart and Kallie left town, leaving them both shattered and broken-hearted.
Eight years later, Kallie’s best friend finds herself in trouble and needs a place to hide out and, figuring there’s no better place to hide her, Kallie brings her home to her family and the place she hasn’t been since she left all those years ago. Small towns being as they are, it takes no time at all for Kallie to run into a now very grown-up Jacob, and the chemistry between them is electric, except now it’s anger and hatred that burns between them, each of them still broken-hearted but furious about all that went down between them.
Despite their desire to keep away from each other, it doesn’t quite work out like that as Jacob, now the town Sherriff, steps in to protect Kallie, and we get these angsty, dramatic and chemistry-fuelled interactions that are part anger, part longing, and it’s so beautifully written. From both perspectives, we can see the pain that they are in, and it really brings the feels.
I love these characters so much. Kallie is strong, stubborn, intelligent, funny, and absolutely relatable. Her anger and pain at seeing Jacob again tore at my heart, and as her story unravels, I could understand her so much more, and I just loved her. And Jacob! SWOOOOOOOOOOON! He’s a man who has been living with only half of his heart since Kallie left him, and when she comes back it’s not easy, but you can feel the love between them, and it doesn’t take long before they do, too. The emotional rollercoaster is intense, and I was right there with them the whole way!
I’m not going to give details, but I will say that yes, all of that anger and heartbreak could have been so easily avoided. It was stupid, and a little bit unbelievable, but they were young, they made mistakes, and they did what they felt they had to do. Was it frustrating? Sure… BUT, it paves the way for an epic reunion as they finally confront the past, and I quickly forgot my frustrations as it all unfolds. My heart was pounding and I had tears in my eyes as they found their way back to each other, and from then on it is an absolute total swoonfest as they go about making up for lost time and finding their way back to where they always should have been.
Along for the ride is Kallie’s best friend, Olivia, and her fantastically flirty brother, Casey, who will have their story told in the next book, as well as Jacob’s best friends Beau and Savannah, who will get book #3. It’s a fantastic introduction to the group, and with some complicated dynamics and backstories at play, I am so excited to read more about these characters.
Natasha has given us a beautiful story for Kallie and Jacob. A soul-searing, heart-wrenching second chance romance that will make you smile, cry and swoon. I felt everything, and I absolutely loved it!

Second chance romance is one of those genres that I really need to be in the mood for. And I find it so hit and miss. The thing is there is always a reason why the couple separated in the first place and depending on so many factors mostly my own private judgyness I tend to get hung up on that. But I recentlyish read the Something So series by Natasha Madison and I loved her heros and when I read the blurb for Southern Chance I was dying to get my hands on it.
I went into it with a few preconceived notions that were proved right and wrong pretty quickly and I can actually say that this is one time that both sides were wrong. Yeah one side more than the other but both people made simple mistakes that I completely understood. And yeah lets be honest they were stupid and an honest conversation would have made all the difference but since I am one of the first people to lose my mind when I think something massive has happened I really just felt their sense of loss over their perfect relationship.
The whole story was just so well written, I was hooked into both Kallie and Jacob from the beginning and I loved that we got both sides of the story from them so even when I wanted to slap one of them I knew that the reason they did it was genuine and human and it just made me hurt for them even more. I loved that as soon as Jacob realised that Kallie was in trouble his inner caveman came roaring out and he was all things perfect for her.
Now that’s not to say that there wasn’t anyone that was very clearly on the wrong side of this story, because in my mind there were two of them and I really wanted to slap them so hard. One for making selfish demands and not caring about the fall out on the people around her and the other for just being a bitch and placing blame and pointing fingers. One kind of did it for the right reasons and she didn’t really do it maliciously just selfishly and the other just needed to keep her mouth shut. And I know that’s kind of cryptic and bullshit of me but when you read it you can message me and we can discuss how they made us feel stabby.
Anywho back to the story. Yes it was Natasha Madison perfect. Yes both Kallie and Jacob were amazing. Yes the secondary characters were brilliant and we are getting three more books that I am dying to get my grabby hands on YESTERDAY. I am absolutely annoyed that I have to wait for the next book to see whats happening with Olivia and Casey but judging by Casey’s caveman antics I think it will be well worth the wait.

What would I do if I had a second chance with my first love - the one that broke my heart into a million pieces with a betrayal that I would have never expected? Well Kallie was going to experience that and much more.
She never wanted to return to the place that reminded her of all her broken dreams but she was back to help her friend- Olivia (which I hope we get her story). Kallie wants nothing to do with Jacob and as hard as she tries to avoid him well life has other plans for them. Jacob has tried to forget the love of his life that ran from him and he's gone through so many emotions until he sees Kallie and he's taken back to a happy time. He wasn't given the opportunity to tell her everything and he's had to live with that decision and no matter how hard he tries to hate Kallie- he just can't- because she's always been the one for him.
An emotionally beautiful second chance at love that will have you believed that anything is possible when it comes to love. Can't wait for more from Natasha Madison <3 Kara~ Stars

Southern Chance has everything I hate in a second chance romance, so I'm not even going to touch on all the stuff that happened w the Hero and heroine. Both are TSTL.
but something that has bothered me a lot about the way the book ends. Who thought it was a great idea to end the last chapter with this
AND THEN THE NEXT CHAPTER IS THE EPILOGUE????!!!?! What the fuck was that? Is this really how you chose to end your book..with violence? Is it suppose to make me run to the kindle store and buy Southern Comfort? Because all it does for me is making me mad.

Spoilers ahead with ranting and cussing(I tried but I couldn't help it 😂😂😂😂😂)
If i had to put this book on a shelf it'd be dumb as f**k! I mean talk about unnecessary drama!!!! Filled with immature supposed adults!!! And a h who needed to star in a historical romance of old because she was forever fleeing with tears in her eyes!!!
Let me break it down for y'all
H/h were high school sweethearts and on the night of their prom one of his best friends comes to talk to him in private. Now in the dance the h over hears ppl talking about the girl Savannah being pregnant. She goes out and finds the H and Savannah in a huddle and the pregnancy comes out. She thinks he cheated, he keeps saying I can explain. She shouts some stuff at him and flees into the night. He stakes out her house for days but her family sneaks her out....cue an eight year separation
Listen ppl this was weak bullshit! ONE conversation could've cleared this shit up!!! And her parents and brother helping her flee into the night??? Seriously what the fuck is she?A witness to a mob hit???
So eight years later she returns with her friend who needs to lay low because her ex scammed some folks, the h is of course still heartbroken and sees the H with his son and then we go for about 60% of the book with a lot of hemming and hawing before he Finally explains the kid isn't his!!!!!!!!what the helllllllll!!!!!!!!

Savannah!!!!! Grrrrrrrr she knew he loved the h and asked him to keep her secret so as far as everyone knows he cheated with her and they had a kid out of wedlock, at one point she actually said she had a child with the man the h loves!!!! I'm like bitch that's not his fucking kid!!!!!!! He chose to claim the child to help her out and she's acting like he owes her something!!!!!!!!

Southern Chance is one of those books that hooked me from the start. I spent so much of the book not knowing if I was going to love it or hate it, but in the end, I fell more towards the love side of the spectrum.
Young love... Jacob and Kallie were childhood sweethearts and were making big plans together towards the end of their senior year of high school. Then, something happened that tore everything apart. Jacob was a frustrating hero. I can't say I understand why he made the choice he made. I hope when I get to the next book in the series some of those questions will be answered. Kallie was such a strong and inspirational leading lady. I felt so much for her and was so glad she found her happy by the end. Even though Jacob made a poor choice when they were young, it was more than obvious that these two were meant to be.
I love a good second chance romance. They're something about the longing and the angst that comes along with it. I enjoyed Jacob and Kallie's story and I can't wait to get to some of these secondary characters romances. If you're looking for a story about first loves, forgiveness and friendship that's steamy, emotional, and angsty- I recommend picking this one up!

Southern Chance is one of those books that hooked me from the start. I spent so much of the book not knowing if I was going to love it or hate it, but in the end, I fell more towards the love side of the spectrum.
Young love... Jacob and Kallie were childhood sweethearts and were making big plans together towards the end of their senior year of high school. Then, something happened that tore everything apart. Kallie left town and didn't come back for eight years. Now, she's back with her best friend and she sees Jacob again for the first time. This book annoyed me so much.
The Hero and heroine are young but his actions...... Grrrrr.
He has a close friendship with another woman and he allows his girlfriend who he intends to have a future with, think that the other woman is having his baby.
Plus the whole town thinks it too.
So you have to balance the feelings of his friend, who made the mistake of trusting a man who didn't care for her when she got pregnant against his girlfriend who now thinks he's cheated.
Balance between the other woman being the source of town gossip or your girl... No contest, you'd think that wouldnt you but no he side with other woman.
The heroine doesn't really give him a chance to explain but at the same time when he does it's 'things are not as they seem but he's my son'
He makes a promise to the other woman not to share the truth for the sake of the child.
I understand wanting to protect the child from gossip but surely that has to be weighed against the heroine looking like a chump for not being enough for him so he had to look elsewhere.
When they finally, discuss the truth, there is angst but then it's all sorted.
I felt she should have held out longer once she knew the truth and although there are words with the other woman I would have liked to see her get a bit more backlash.
There is a positive, both Hero and heroine are celibate during the separation of I think 8 years.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.

2.5 stars. Up to 60% of the book I was conflicted about how to rate this book but after that ending I made up my mind.
Overall is a good book but in the end I can’t stand half of the characters.
Really, Savannah and Jacob ruined this story and I cant’s stop thinking that Kallie deserved so much more.
I can't stand Savannah. So what? She doesn't want to be considered the town's hoe because pregnant and alone,so she decided it woul be better be considered an homewrecker? Please! She just needed a daddy for her baby and he was there at her disposal.
She's not a martyr, just an entitled b***h.
I don't know if the author tried to make us like Savannah and feel sorry for her character for the next books, but seriously: she ruined her best friend's life and when he ask, no, he begs to -please- have back the only woman he ever loved, she AGAIN thinks just and only at herself. How can she lives with herself knowing she's the reason for so much pain? How can she wants something like this for someone that she considered hers best friend?

I loved “This Is” series and I anticipated for the author’s new release!!!

"Do you love me?"

I....I....I just can't. Basically, Natasha’s books - after DNF'ing the last book I read, and then trying this one, I've come to one conclusion: I just don’t like them. They’re not for me. So here goes a rough review. This was originally a DNF, but I was able to talk myself into trying to finish so I could carry on with the series. I'm not so sure that worked out in my favor because now I want the third book but there is no way I'm going to read it now, because not only did this one not work for me, but the second one didn't either. I *wish* the amount of eye rolls didn't outnumber the amount of sighable moments that I was hoping to get with this book. Gosh, it was completely frustrating to have a book/series that was promised to be full of angst and amazing moments to fall incredibly short. Common sense and logic lacked immensely, while style and fashion come into play during this entire book in the most ridiculous of moments. The characters were literally being dressed right in front of you throughout the entire book, and there was absolutely no reason to do that. And apparently, all these characters wear are white jeans or shorts, and off the shoulder shirts. On a farm. In Louboutins.
UGH!!! I am so frustrated because what was promised and what was delivered are two vastly different things. There was not ONE OUNCE of angst in this book. Not one. I was counting on that to get me through this series. Not only was the entire premise of the book a complete slap in the face to Kallie, but Jacob's allegiance was given to the WRONG PERSON. It was so angering to the point of yes, he claimed to love her, but clearly he didn't respect her enough to speak up and speak out. And Savannah - she needs to be smacked. I don't care about the circumstances behind her circumstances, you don't mess with your best friend and lie to your other best friend. So they are ALL stupid. Writing this review riled me up all over again - I apologize. But ridiculous decisions only add drama - and of course, how else will the story progress without ridiculous drama for drama's sake? I am not here for placed and staged drama.
One big lie that preempts another big lie. The problem is, the value of that one lie supersedes the value of the other. It’s stupid and it pissed me off for 2/3 of the book! *breathing*
It’s apparent why she’s such a win for so many readers because she does have a great flow and she’s a super easy read. I've enjoyed her before and was hoping to add to it with this series. The reasons why I struggle are many, but this one was so very repetitive and it’s very structured and systematic. I like the variables of a mystery but I also like the guaranteed security in a romance. I won't lie about any of that, but when you are repeating the last two pages of one chapter and recapping it in another POV in the beginning of the next chapter, you are wasting my time and making the story suffer for the word stuffing that is happening. It was so so soooo very frustrating.
And the mom? All she does is cook. It's like she has no other worth other than to cook throughout two books. Don't get me wrong, I know the south is centered around food and comfort and family; I get it. I've lived there, I have seen it. She had food for every single reason - but she played no other valid part of this story, and that carried on into the second book as well. Add to it: Kallie and Olivia, all they ever talk about is not having carbs and sugar and they haven't had it is in so long. Blah blah blah. It was a very weird dynamic mixed into this storyline. It just felt so out of place to me.
Everything was as it appeared: surface-scratching level depth without any real laid background. Light and easy, delightfully cheesy. Predictable, too. None of which I like. Add to it, the ridiculous fashion parade that waltzed through this book (and into the next) just left me with a questionable opinion on the girls in general - as in, shallow. And repetitive. I know I mentioned that already....but you get my point now.
Madison can write so well but she puts so much ridiculous and immature drivel in her books that is completely unnecessary!! I was yelling at my husband about it while I was reading. Why any man would do that to the love of his life is beyond me. Madison resorts to unnecessary drama to drive the story forward yet all it did was stall my love for it. Unfortunately, I now know I am done with this series. Between this book and the second one I read (one after the other), I knew I needed to walk away and just count my losses. I am bummed because they all had promise and that third book looks amazing, but I don't want to walk away from yet another book frazzled and disappointed.

She believed he got his girl/friend pregnant so she left and never looked back and he’s raising the little kid. So yes not for me. I don’t find this stuff romantic at all.

Can anyone say ridiculous?? Again, I know I should avoid NA and this book didn’t change this.
Conceptually this storyline is ridiculous and just about made my head explode.
Prologue... Prom night, that should have been my first warning, these children aren’t out of high school and they’re playing at being adults. Key dramatic music... lives are about to be shattered and changed. Our moron hero has 3 best friends... 1. the heroine, 2. the “OW”, 3. other friend. The “OW” is pregnant, oh no, it’s our moron hero’s.
Fast forward 8 years. The heroine has a new best friend, and there on the run from bad guys from LA. And our heroine leads said bad guys to her hometown, where the moron hero and the “OW” are raising their 8 year old son, though they never married, they share custody of a rather well adjusted kid.
It appears the moron hero and his equally moronic mother are pissed off at the heroine for breaking his heart when she ran off to college, huh?? He’s actually mad because he didn’t get to explain the situation, huh? The situation? Everyone in your little world believes you fathered a child with the “OW” but you think she should have waited around for an explanation??
Blah, blah, blah... we get an explanation and the “OW” isn’t happy that he’s sharing their secrets... he’s not the father of the little boy, the father is the other friend’s older brother. He took advantage of the “OW” and left town... okay? Why did our hero take responsibility for someone else’s child and ruin the heroine’s life in the process?? Because the “OW” is his best friend and she needed him.
Okay...at this point I’m done, I’m DNFing this ridiculously stupid story, but of course being the moron I am, I keep going.
Let’s make this hot mess worse... turns out the heroine was pregnant when she left town and miscarries at 21 weeks.
But let’s get to the end... true love prevails amidst all the ridiculous secrets and lies, and who really cares.

Second Chance | Southern Romance
Saddle up ladies because Natasha Madison has a new series and it’s shaping up to be quite epic! I love small town, southern romance books. I love the sense of family, the laid-back attitude and fierceness that I regularly see in the characters. In Madison’s latest release readers will get this and more! While there may have been a few problematic pieces for me, the overall book left me feeling happiness so I’m going to have to say the author has another winner on her hands.
Southern Chance is the first book in the Southern series. These books are interconnected standalones. After reading this one, I’m quite anxious to read Casey and Olivia’s story (which releases on April 14th) as the ending of this one left us with some questions… I won’t say it’s a cliffhanger per say because the main characters in THIS book do have their HEA, but it DOES lead into the next one. Gosh, I need is RIGHT NOW! This book is also a second chance romance. The main characters were high school sweethearts who essentially broke up on prom night after a big surprise landed on their laps. This breakup was devastating for both, so much so that the heroine (Kallie) ends up leaving in the middle of the night without a word. 8 years then pass and the two are brought back together again when she and a friend of hers needs solitude and safety from an enemy whose out to get her friend. What happens after between Kallie and Jacob? Well, that’s something you need to experience while reading Southern Chance!
As I mentioned above, there were a few small things that bothered me while reading and I’ll get to those now (I’m attempting to NOT spoil the book for potential readers so bear with me). The big SECRET that drove Kallie and Jacob apart was a bit farfetched. I think I would have believed in it more had we gotten and understand as to WHY Jacob did what he did, but instead, were left with more questions than answers. For me, if you’re going to base an entire book around a huge secret you must spend time explaining it to the readers through the characters and the simply didn’t happen here. Another thing that I didn’t quite care for was how EASY it was for them to get back together despite all the crap they were both spewing at each other in their initial meeting after 8 years. It was so quick I thought I had whiplash! One second, they HATE each other and the next they have never stopped loving each other. Hmmm!!! A little bit more buildup would have seemed more authentic.
Other than these two things, I enjoyed Southern Chance and I’m excited to see what happens next! I have had my “eye” on Casey and Olivia since “meeting” them and am so excited to see what happens in their book. I personally recommend reading this one BEFORE starting Southern Comfort (which is next) but you don’t absolutely need to. I just think it’ll give you a better glimpse at the couple along with their friends.

I had a wonderful time with this book. Southern Chance by Natasha Madison was a captivating, heart-warming and emotional romance that had the right blend of drama and angst to keep me entertained. From the moment I began reading, I knew I would have a difficult time putting it down. I read it in one sitting; it was that good.
Southern Chance is the first in a new series of standalones. Each story will be focused on a different couple, but the characters will interconnect throughout the series.
I found this story to be well written and the characters relatable. I believe though that the pain and heartache that Jacob and Kallie could have been avoided if trust and communication had taken precedence in their relationship eight years ago. Instead, when events spun out of control, instead of waiting to hear Jacob’s side of the story, Kallie fled to paths unknown to Jacob, leaving him devastated and broken hearted. Eight years later, they got a second chance to make amends. There were hurdles in the form of family secrets and guilt, but eventually they cleared them and claim their second chance at happiness.
The author gave readers hints of a secondary romance, which will be followed up in the second book. This involves Kallie’s brother and her best friend, Olivia. There is a mystery surrounding Olivia. She is running from danger and needed somewhere to hide. Kallie, who had not been home since leaving eight years ago, offered her sanctuary in her hometown. I am curious to know how this would play out. Book two can’t come soon enough.
Kallie exuded strength and intelligence. She was fun loving and proved to be a relatable character. Her emotional turmoil resonated with me.
Jacob’s life had never been the same after that fateful incident 8 years ago. His selfless nature led to him losing the most important person in his life. I am sure what to think of him sacrificing his happiness with the woman he loved to help a friend. A sacrifice, which had painful consequences for all involved.

This was so bad that I'm giggling. It's absurd in regards to how bad this was. You might be thinking, why did she continue if it was that horrible? Well, I'm glad you thought of that. Morbid curiosity and wine made me interested in finding out if the stupidity continued.

- High school bf/gf at prom, bf friend tells him she's preggos.
- Gf confronts them, bf says "she's pregnant." That's it folks. No instant admission that *in Shaggy's voice* "wasn't me."
- 8 years later, stupidity continues bc bf friend/ kinda baby mama is a dumb bitch
- bf is an idiot
- gf was mildly an idiot for freaking out 8 years ago, but she only gets stupid for taking her bf back
- no one else but bf/gf, and friend know that child isn't his. NO ONE ELSE.
- happily ever after :')

Southern Chance is a warm-hearted second chance, young lovers, small-town romance and our first ever read by Natasha Madison. It was a sweet and swoony -easy to read- romance centred on buried secrets. We loved experiencing the Southern charm of this story and look forward to meeting more characters when their books release in later months.

In Southern Chance, we meet Jacob McIntyre and Kallie Barnes, two young people desperately in love and already, despite their tender years, seeing a life together as they attend their senior prom. But things don’t quite work out as planned and an act of ‘betrayal’ sees Kallie fleeing her hometown, leaving behind those she loves ��� her Mum and Dad, brother Casey and of course, Jacob.

We do love small-town romances and Natasha Madison’s Southern Chance ticked a lot of boxes there. We would’ve loved to have found out what actually happened to the storyline of why Kallie and her best friend Olivia ended up back home. The fade to black was quite surprising and a tad frustrating. Southern Chance is a love story that started at aged seven, a painful farewell that played out at prom, and a tense reunion eight years later all made for a perfectly sweet and sexy escape! Now, we can’t wait to hear more about Casey….wow! When this cowboy says darlin’ we swoon!

Kallie and Jacob fell in love when they were young and were excited about their future life together. On the night Jacob planned on cementing their future everything went horribly wrong. Kallie left town, without Jacob and didn’t return again until 8 years later.
When Kallie’s best friend needs her help to hide away for a while, the first place she thinks of is her mum and dad’s farm, the place she grew up and where most of the favourite memories are. She knows it will be hard to avoid Jacob but she plans on keeping a wide berth of him and his family. Unfortunately, avoiding him in their small town seems to be impossible!
Jacob is initially surprised and then furious to see Kallie back in town. She ripped his heart out and left him to pick up the pieces alone when she walked away from him. The chance to work things out with her was taken away in one day. The sooner she leaves town the better. However when he gets wind of her friend being in potential danger his protective instincts kick in.
Kallie does not want to see Jacob living the life she should have had with him but with another woman. Everyone in town remembers what happened and some people have strong opinions they like to voice with her. She is not the villain here, she did not do anything wrong except protect her heart and well being. Seeing Jacob now as a man, and a father hurts her deeply. He is even more gorgeous now and the love she had for him has come rushing back to her.
Jacob is feeling all kinds of messed up, he has never stopped loving Kallie and now that she is back in town he is determined to keep her there. They both deserve the life they planned together and he just needs to convince her to stay. However, both of them are keeping secrets from each other, secrets that may just tear them apart before they really have a chance to begin again.
This was a really sweet small town, second chance romance and it looks like there is more to come from the secondary characters in this story.

WOW, this book will grab you in the very first pages, at least that is what happened to me and it did not let go of me. This book seems to have it all…..right at the beginning when you feel Kallie’s pain it starts you on an emotional ride. There are sad parts, funny parts, suspense that will make you anxious, swoony and sexy parts. You will feel something for both main characters and even the supporting characters will pull you in.
This leaves you wanting the next book right away since it is about characters that you met and already love in this book but you still get a great view into the future of both Kallie and Jacob.

Oh this was just heartbreakingly good!
Oh my goodness. I loved this story, and hated it sometimes too. I cried a bucket of tears reading this and I was in a public place but I just kept crying. I hated Jacob for a long long time. He and Kallie were teenage lovers and were each other's only Nd bam. She finds out another girl is pregnant with is child. It destroys her and she runs away from all the pain. But there is a big secret about that baby and not everything is as it seems! I am going to say this, Jacob, and Savannah, the "ow", are totally selfish people. What they did to Kallie is deplorable. You can call it friendship or whatever you want, they destroyed Kallie. I have no words for Savannah except that she is one awful person and then makes Jacob swear to keep it a secret. I was so angry with her. Eight years later Kallie is back. And Jacob, the jerk, is angry with her for leaving and I was like what the heck!?? I did not understand that, and his Mother was even worse. Kallie was the victim and they are blaming her for leaving him alone. Whatever. I could have smacked them both. There are secrets and they eventually all come out. The journey is worth it, especially because they are both celibate while they were apart. For 8 years! I was shocked. And there is an HEA and I was so glad. But I still can't believe he picked the OW over his girlfriend when it really mattered. Heartbreaking. Yes He redeemed himself but why would he not have picked her? Oh well. I need to let it go. Great story.

God this book, it will grab your heart and squeeze and not let go. It hit me straight in my feels and had me laughing, crying, mad, and swooning all at the same time. I’ve loved almost all of Natasha’s books and this book is no exception. I love me a good country small town romance and being in the South, Natasha really brought this aesthetic to life in the best way possible. I loved Kallie & Jacob’s love for each other and was glad that they had a beautiful love story together And got their HEA. Oh this one hit me in all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I screamed and I swooned. I throughly enjoyed this book.
I love small town romances and this was definitely a good one. The setting was beautiful. The drama was insane. The angst was gut wrenching and the ending was adorable.
Even though Kallie and Jacob's story revolves around a miscommunication which is a storyline I normally dislike, I feel given there age when it happens and everything that happens after I actually enjoyed how it all played out even though many parts of the story broke my heart. I still found it a beautiful story and ended up loving both main characters so much.
There was a soft cliffhanger towards the end of the story that leads us in to book 2 which is about and entirely different couple and I cant not wait to read their story

This is on me guys. I should have known better than to keep reading when this story started out in high school (senior prom no less). I just can't read YA at all, and even though this story was more NA, all of the characters acted like high schoolers through the entire story.
