Sure, we'll see and learn lots of colours as we journey, but that's not what this tale is about! More importantly, we'll find out what it takes to get to our goal, and above all else, make sure we enjoy the adventure while it's happening! "So let's do it, before the sky gets any duller! Nothing to it, I assure you, just follow the colour!"
Eve and Scribbles love adventuring - drizzly sky or not! See what happens once the sun peers through the rain drops, as they jaunt through the vibrant hues of the rainbow on a multi-coloured escapade! A spooked ginger cat, a soothing blue whale and a noisy yellow duck are among the colourful sights Eve and Scribbles stumble across as they parade across the pages of this delightful book. Children will immediately respond to Leysan Shayakbirova’s flat, boldly coloured illustration. Combined with Mark Rusk’s singsong text, they create fantastical images of a swashbuckling adventure through the colours of the rainbow! The Great Rainbow Chase is an unforgettable story of imagination and adventure. From audacious and funny to creative and clever, the rhythmic rhyme expresses all the brilliance and originality of children at play. With beautiful and humorous illustrations, and a myriad of striking and colourful scenes, this is a book grown-ups will love reading over and over (and over!) to kids at story time and bed time! A great gift for any occasion and especially for all intrepid little girls and fans of rhyming picture books. The Great Rainbow chase has an educational and touching message that applies to everyone, young and old!
The artwork in this book is fantastic, and the read, imaginative. This book, written in rhyme, is an excellent way to inspire children about Art and Color. It also teaches children that friendship is the true gold in life. Nice upbeat atmosphere to the story.
Eve wanted to play but it was pouring down rain. Scribble’s was under the umbrella with her. It wasn’t long & the 2 of them looked up &the sun was shining. What did Eve & Scribble’s see when they followed the rainbow.
I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.
An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) rhyming Rainbow Chase storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s rhyming Rainbow Chase movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars.

Eve and her fox, Scribbles, wonder what to do on a rainy day. They decide to follow a break in the clouds. Soon they are on their way traveling across the spectrum through all the colors of the rainbow.
This book is written in lyrical rhymes that are at times funny but always full of thoughts to ponder. Illustrations are vibrant; they jump off the page. Targeted as a book for children ages two through four, if read aloud to them, children surely will enjoy the rhymes. While the rhymes are well-written and clever, young children may need some explanation of the more difficult vocabulary words like indigo, azure, and sapphire. Interesting animal characters that are introduced should please young readers.
What did Eve and Scribbles discover at the end of their journey? Read the tale to find out.
This is a cute story about travelling across the colors of the rainbow and then back home from the end of the rainbow. I won't spoil what they find at the end of the rainbow. On my kindle android app, the book is in double pages, but without stops on the second page, most times I have seen this the text is selectable to zoom, but not here.
What a bright, creative book! This is one that needs to be read out loud to truly appreciate the beauty of the rhymes throughout the story. I loved each color of the rainbow and all of the descriptions. The illustrations were also gorgeous!
A fun, colourful book about adventure and enjoying the journey rather than only focusing on the goal
A rhyming book about a girl and her friendly little fox. I love the rhymes, the vivd colours, and the message in this awesome children's read. I totally love that not only does this great story take a child through the colour spectrum, but it teaches an important message at the same time. The pictures say way more than I can. [You'll find the pictures in my Amazon review and on my blog when it posts.] Highly recommended! ...
A solid five stars from me.

(Not every children's book has to rhyme, Kindle writers!) This is really cute, though, and has great color information for young children. The illustrations are bold and bright and beautiful.
