Sa'riya was the first of the ascended, and it scared them. The elders had no reference for her powers, no way to know how strong she'd become - she might even overpower them; so they decided to kill her. But there were those that disagreed: the ones that loved her, the ones that would die for her, the ones who would try to save her...

This is a quick, fast-paced, well-written story that grabbed me in the beginning and would not let go. This is the conclusion to the previous book so I would suggest reading the previous book first. You will be glad you did.

I enjoyed reading “The Prophet: The Trial of Sa’riya” by Don Newton who in my opinion, is an excellent, very entertaining, creative and highly descriptive writer in this story which is a prelude to the Prophet Book series. This story takes place in a magical dimension, ruled by Immortals and Draggons, where Sa'riya stands on trial for her life because she loved a man. I think this Prelude is an exciting beginning to the Prophet series. I also read, “False Gods” the first book in the Prophet seri ...more

This book is a compelling fantasy prelude. Sa'riya is on trial for breaking rules of the magical beings. As the story unfold, there are different sides on whether there was an exception to the rule being broken. I received a free copy of this eBook from eBook Discovery. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. I like this story and would be interested in reading more in the series. I would have like a smoother transition between some scenes that takes to a memory of events or a competing ...more

Another planet, unknown races, magic, wizards, technology, shape shifting and more, but all with a twist. I picked up this book for 2 reasons,

1. The blurb was interesting
2. Prelude and book 1 were both out together

This book came as an amazing surprise because of all the new elements that came up.
