Go ahead and grab the tissues. This emotionally charged NA romance will have you feeling all the feels on practically every page. I cried with Caleb and Faith. I laughed with them. I raged for them and at them. And through it all I fell in love with them. These two have one heck of a story that keeps you completely hooked start to finish.
I felt so much for both of them, But I particularly felt for Faith. Shes been through so much and the way it impacted how she saw herself was something I could

Mouthful was my first book by C.R. Grissom and by way of introduction to her work its a good one. The main characters are incredibly well written and the opening will draw you in.
Faith is beautifully complicated in so many gut wrenching ways. Suffering from body issues and cyberbullying has left her closed off and fearful of others.
Caleb is well grounded and self aware, hes suffered a terrible blow at the hands of two people he trusted and rather than sour him it has made him stronger.

This is my first time reading this author, and from what I understand, this is her debut. Mouthful gave me all the feels and had me in tears more than once. Im an emotional junkie so I absolutely loved it!

I think Faith is a character most women can relate to. I know I did. She has issues with how she sees herself. Im just going to put this out are mean. There I said it. Sometimes adults are too. It shapes how we see ourselves and how we think other people see us. The author did a

Mouthful was a nice read from a new to me author.
C.R. Grissom made a very good job with the characters' depictions and their personal growth.

Faith is a young girl who has had some bad experience at high school with her classmates so she is so glad to transfer to California to start anew at the college. Here she meets Caleb a great guy who will try to help her to feel good and special in her own skin but a wounded soul is difficult to heal and their relationship will be littered with obstacles.

Voluptuous high school senior Faith Lucerna is publicly humiliated when a football player she thought really liked her posts an intimate picture of her with the caption Fellatio Faith. Taken in combination with her body image issues, which have been fostered by her mother, a size zero advice columnist for Teen Beauty magazine, her internet humiliation leaves her determined to hide her curvaceous body beneath oversized hoodies and stay away from guys.

Faith has never felt comfortable with her curvy figure and as she grows older the feelings have only increased due to a critical mother and being betrayed in the most embarrassing way possible when she was in high school. She is determined to hide her body and protect her heart but there is something about Caleb that draws her in even if he is a football player.

Caleb was hurt by those he thought he could trust, and he knows Faith is special from their first meeting. He can see that she has been

Others See What You Cant!!

Wow, this book was a total winner for me bringing hot football player Caleb and feisty Faith through some pretty tough trials in life for the both of them. Caleb is a definite BBF who is sexy with a heart of gold that was betrayed by one of the closest people in his entire life. Faiths mother is a beauty advice columnist who has been missing most of her life but still had the power to give Faith the worst opinion of herself that has shaped her into the body loathing

I just finished Mouthful and I absolutely adored this book. I think that it has just the right amount of heart and support for both characters when they have both been down on their luck. Caleb i definitely my favorite guy right this moment, such a sweet guy that has a lot of integrity and I fell for him HARD!

I also really liked how Faith was not magically cured with her self esteem issues just because she found an amazing guy, this book was real and the characters and situations make sense. I

Mouthful is a well-written story delivering a meaningful message about the heroines struggles with body image. It was encouraging to see Faith learn to deal with her anxiety and issues, overcome her past, and find friends, as well as a guy who was interested in more than her body. Loved that the hero and other males helped her to see herself through non-critical eyes and recognize her strengths and grow and change as she supports others. Positive message of friendship and acceptance. ...more

Mouthful by C.R. Grissom.
A new to me author that I look forward to reading more books by.
This book had me from the first chapter and didn't want to let me go. I totally enjoyed what I called a New Adult storyline. The story of moving on, family issues, college, friends, taking chances and possible love. C. R. Grisson knows how to write a great book. I would totally recommend this book.

Loved the back story on the characters so you wanted to see what happened next to the characters. Smooth read was hard to put down. Actually I look forward to reading it again. I look forward to seeing what C.R. Grissom imagination has us next.

Not only is this a new-to-me author, shes a new-to-everyone author. As far as I can tell, this is her debut published novel. She makes a pretty good showing for a first timer.

The individual stories of both Faith and Caleb hook me from the start. I feel for them both so deeply, their plights actually made my stomach hurt. Theyre both so strong, stronger than they realize, and they pick themselves up and keep on keeping on.

There were a lot of great characters in this book, from Calebs football
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. I loved this young adult story. The author did an excellent job of writing as the female college freshman as well as her male companions. I felt for Faith. She had been dealt a bad hand. Her mother was awful. Definitely someone to avoid if you have self esteem issues like she did. She also was socially awkward and terrified because of the way everyone at school save her best friend treated her. She was teased about her ...more

This book pulled me in from the start and I had a hard time putting it down.

Faith Lacerna had it rough from the start. Her mother left her when she was young and through the years when Faith needed her most, she wasnt there except to insult her weight and nitpick everything about her life. Faith grew up with low self esteem and when she finally found a boy that paid attention to her, he used her and posted an embarrassing photo on social media which only made Faiths life worse.

C.R. Grissoms debut novel Mouthful is a contemporary, college romance which looks into the effects verbal and online bullying can have on a young woman and the length it takes to overcome trust issues while developing new relationships.

Faith has been through the wringer at high school and has a hard time trusting any man (with the exception of her father) after a football-playing jerk humiliated her online. Since then she has

Mouthful tackles online/in real-life bullying and family drama. Faith is ready to start college on the other side of the country and move far away from the classmates who shared an intimate photo of her online. However, it doesn't take long for her to meet Caleb and build a relationship with him. As they get closer, she realizes that having her worst memory a simple internet name search away can be tricky, and she has to decide whether or not to confide in him. Caleb wants nothing more than to ...more

I do not know if C.R. Grissom is a more recently published author or one who has been around with me just not having read her books but Mouthful stands out as an author to watch. I do not usually read books with college age characters having that part of my life in the distance past. However, this story reminded of all the feelings, hopes and fears of that time in my life. It was if I was transported back in time. Yes, college was just like that even in the dark ages before the internet, smart ...more

Theres so much to this book its hard to know where to start. Firstly its an awesome YA romance with two totally believable, totally likeable characters driving the story.
I loved Caleb, the hero of this romance for his total decency, patience, and acceptance of Faith, his fantasy girl. Then there was Faith, and honestly Faith could have been my teenage self with her low body image and trust issues. I remember being teased during my teenage years because I was busty and a bit cuddly. I remember

For this being Grissoms first book, she hit it out of the park. I floved this book and am already dying to read more by her. This story focuses on bullying, social media faux pas, and self-acceptance. This riveting tale feels like reading a fairytale. Caleb is a hot, strong, and, most importantly, a sweet football player that Faith meets at college. He makes the perfect book boyfriend or Prince Charming. Faith has always hidden who she is. Whether its behind her clothes, her emotional wall, or ...more

I loved this story! Life in high school sucked for Faith Lacerna, after a private act with a popular boy goes public across social media. Already struggling with serious body dysmorphia issues, shes ready to start over in college, far away from her past and from a frustrating beauty guru mother.
Faith doesnt trust many people anymore, and she just wants to focus on college. But then she meets recently single football star

I received an ARC copy of this novel in exchange for my honest review. Truthfully, I was apprehensive about reading it because it is way outside of the genres I typically choose. I even opened it on my phone when my iPad ran out of battery so I could keep reading.

WOW JUST WOW! I usually prefer my romance to be adult but there are times when NA seems intriguing, and Mouthful was definitely worth a read! It's very emotionally charged, which had my eyes threatening to leak on more than one occasion when it came to Faith's story since she had gone through so much in life & she's not even that old. And OMG the super sexy football player Caleb! Neither saw the other coming, and yet, their journey is filled with all kinds of goodness, C.R. Grissom didn't ...more

Sometimes you can't leave high school behind. Once it is posted to the internet it is forever and you can never escape. Faith had a tough time in high school. Her parents divorced, her mother sent her designer size tiny clothes that she gave away, and she was recorded doing something with a boy that she thought liked her. Turns out she is now an internet star. Fast forward to college and all she wants to do is study and be invisible. She wears over sized clothes and hopes to blend in and go ...more

I haven't read much NA, so I wasn't sure what to expect. What I didn't expect was to love it! Ugh, I FEEL for Faith, right from the beginning she drew me in. I so wanted to protect her. Caleb, the hottie on the cover, was perfect for her, kind considerate, and able to draw her out, to help her heal from previous trauma, just as she was able to help him. I loved everything about this story, the Silicon Valley setting, the fabulous

Debut author, C. R. has a touchdown that touches so many topics that young adults are facing now. It deals with self acceptance, social bullying and trust. This book pulled me in from the very beginning, told in different voices between Caleb, Faith and Beau.

Loved the friendship between Faith and Beau. Beau really helped Faith with accepting who she is and beauty is really what is on the inside.

The relationship between Caleb, football jock and Faith was perfect. Caleb was so patient with Faith

I really enjoyed this one. It has plenty of heart and humor, but it also has serious tone. The characters go through some tough situations. I'm not gonna lie reading the first part of this book was tough. I hate bullying and I can relate to Faith a bit. I loved Faith and Caleb. She deserves the people she has met in her first year of college. She needs that support system. There are several secondary characters that I hope get their own books at some point.
