Ronan Wentz has been to hell and back, and he carries the scars to prove it. Worse, the blood of a monster runs through his veins. After ten years in foster care, eighteen-year-old Ronan is finally reunited with family. His uncle gives hi

... The last piece of this epic series.

Four and a half stars for my dearest Ronan and Shiloh, and a half star for Miller, Holden, and Ronan's unbreakable bond of friendship.

Note: This is a new adult romance.

The Last Piece of His Heart was such a perfect way to end this series. It was heartfelt, beautifully written, and was everything in a story about love, friendship, acceptance, and second chances.

Ronan was perfect in every way. He had a past that troubled him and burdens that he

The best thing about reading an Emma Scott book is I always know I'm going to love it, I just don't know what level of love it will be. Well, I'll be shouting about this one on the rooftops for a while, because not only is it the best book in her 'Lost Boys' series, it's easily the best book I've read so far in 2021. This book made me feel, made me cry so hard, but also had so many heartwarming moments. This series is the epitome of the found family troupe and I love this group of ch

“The easy stuff. For instance, what kind of music do you like?”

I shrugged. “Not much. Older bands. Tool. Soundgarden is pretty good, I guess. You?”

“All kinds. From all over the world.” She pulled out her phone. “Check this out. His name is Ritviz and he’s from India. He’s an EDM artist.”

Since I read The Girl in the Love Song, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Ronan and Shiloh's story and they didn't disappoint. The Lost Boys series ended with a bang and I would even say that it's one of Emma Scott's best books.

The Last Piece of His Heart is the third book in a the Lost Boys series. It can be read as a standalone, however, it would be best to read it in order since it spoils a couple of plot points for the previous books since all three books ha

THE LAST PIECE OF HIS HEART: Is the stunning conclusion in the series 'Lost Boys.' by Emma Scott. Spoken in 'Dual Perspectives.'

It all started with 'Miller, the homeless boy with the captivating voice who fell head over heels for his best friend' Violet' then carried on with 'Holden' the broken iceman who finally found someone who accepted him in 'River' last but not least this is Ronan's story, th

Those lost boys are not so lost anymore...

It was so heartwarming to see those characters find home, love, support, and family in each other. They deserve all the happiness and love! It just made me so emotional to find them all together being happy and being each other’s chosen family.

Ever since I read the first book and I was dying for Ronan and Shiloh’s story! I just know they’re going to break my heart and then put it back together. And they did! Their book was definitely my favour
How does she do it! Emma Scott wrecked havoc on my heart. What she’s created is nothing more than the perfect conclusion to the Lost Boys series. I bow down. I went through all range of emotion while reading The Last Piece of His Heart. It can be read as a stand-alone but for us who’ve read the two previous books this is nothing more than an extraordinary accomplishment.

5+ stars for Ronan & Shiloh!

When I tell you that I got my heart and feels swept away by Emma Scott, you best believe me. I just finished sensitivity reading this masterpiece and what an experience! Emma Scott’s writing is effortless so it makes things easier in the sensitivity department, but she is also super easy and cool to talk to about all the things that could be sensitive areas. I felt that I was able to express things my heart was feeling concerning the gorgeous, spectacular Shiloh, and

As I read the final sentence of The Last Piece of His Heart, I had tears steaming down my face. My beautiful Lost Boys...
The outcast, the vampire, and the criminal. You have given me so much.
My heart is bursting with love yet sad to say goodbye to you.

Emma Scott, I am in awe of you! Your words and characters are all born from your heart and soul. It all comes through on every page... Pages filled with the reality of life and love. The good, the bad and the ugly.

Shiloh and Ronan’s story was full of emotions and angst and dealt with serious and strong issues.

Having read other books from this author, I was prepared for a heartwrenching story and to be swept off my feet.

Although the characters and the storyline were heartbreakingly beautiful, the first hall of the book had an extensive length and was slow for me. One dramatic experience after the other stretched out the story.
I wasn’t as emotionally wrecked as I expected to be.

one of my most anticipated reads of this year and Ronan (H) and Shiloh’s (h) story was everything I could have hoped for!! I loved their interactions from the moment they met until the very end of the story. My heart broke for these two precious souls' pasts and I just wanted to give them a hug and tell them their past doesn’t define who they are, but I’m so glad they have each other now. 🥺 beautiful romance aside, the friendship between the Lost B

This was the perfect conclusion to the Lost Boys series and I’m so glad Ms. Scott saved Ronan’s story for last.

Ronan lived a difficult life before coming to Santa Cruz, and it gets worse before it gets better. If you’re familiar with Emma Scott’s work, then you know without even reading the blurb, Ronan's journey will be a difficult one—for him, obviously, but for you too. Buckle up.

To say I devoured The Last Piece of His Heart would be a complete understatement. I had the privilege of beta reading for Emma Scott and with every chapter sent, every refresh of my kindle for more pages, I fell more and more hopelessly in love with Ronan and Shiloh.

We were given just enough information on Ronan and Shiloh in the first two Lost Boys books, that I knew these two would tear my heart out. Ronan and his valiant, survivors spirit; the protector of those he loved greater than himself

Ronan + Shiloh
We already met them in the first books. (You should read books 1+2 first!)
Ronan has been in and out of foster homes for more than half his life. Now he's finally 'home'. His uncle brought him to Santa Cruz to work as the building manager in one of his two run-down apartment buildings. Ronan loves helping people. He needs to save everyone who needs saving. Once, a long time ago he couldn't help and the nightmares still won't leave him.
Shiloh is a pretty happy girl - on the outside.

The power of the human spirit!

This story, this lost boy, Ronan August Wentz. He is everything that is good. Life has been unkind to him, and yet, he is a survivor. He is beaten down time and time again, but is relentless in his pursuit to make his mother proud, to maybe find happiness. As a mom, there were many times I wanted to jump through the pages to hug him, hug him and never let go. The last installment of the Lost Boys series is not one to be missed. I have adored Miller as well as Holden and River. However, Ronan Wentz is in his own league. From the previous stories, it was obvious that he carries a dark and heavy burden on his shoulders. Yet Ronan is not willing to share the load because he thinks it's his to bear alone while he has no problem taking on the oppressing weight for others. Ronan is not a very forthcoming person, he internalizes a lot of his thoughts and his ...more

For years Ronan Wentz was left to fend on his own. The move to Santa Cruz brought a promise of a new beginning. But he didn’t expect how much his future was about to change when Shiloh Barrera entered his life.

Out of all the Lost Boys, Ronan was the most elusive character. That helped to make this book fresh even though some of the unnecessary repeated scenes from previous books bothered

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

Reading the final book in a series is always bittersweet. It’s the final chapter. The last hurrah. The goodbye. The bitter end. And with that ending comes great expectation. Emma Scott delivered. Then she did extra, an unexpected chapter and I wept. I didn’t want to say goodbye.

I thought Ronan and Shiloh’s book would be so straight forward. The big tattooed, gentle giant and Violet’s best friend Shiloh. They had already sat around the fire pit on the beach. I saw them

The Lost Boys are back, and if you haven’t read the two previous books in this series, don’t fret! The Last Piece of His Heart can be read and enjoyed as a standalone. Hooked from the first page, my connection with Ronan and Shiloh ran so deep that I didn’t want their tale to end. High on every imaginable emotion, certain situations devastated me to such a point that I had trouble holding back my tears. The occasional sniffle wasn’t in it. I needed a man-sized handkerchief!

Shiloh is special.

I never quite know how to tackle the emotions Emma's books stir in me so I always end up surrendering to them instead. I put my heart in her hands and pour my love all over her words.

Ronan and Shiloh's story was utterly beautiful. Ronan, the lost, broken boy who was failed again and again through life, yet he never surrendered to his misery. He fought in his own quiet way, refusing to become his past. I loved how he was so inherently good even though the odds would suggest him becoming the oppo

“It’s very difficult—impossible even—to love another with your whole heart if you can’t find any of that love for yourself.”

The Last Piece of his Heart is the 3rd and final book in Emma Scott’s Lost Boy series. This book centers around Ronan Wentz and Shiloh Barrera. Both characters are struggling with heartbreaking pasts and feelings of not having a worthwhile place in the world. Emma Scott has a special way of creating book worlds that are a pure delight to experience. ‘The Last Piece of his Heart,’ is the third story within the LOST BOYS series of interconnected standalone books. All three standalones are pure romantic decadence but this final one is the Pièce de résistance – the most gorgeous of all and my ultimate favourite ‘Lost Boy' story. (I know I shouldn't have favs but I just ADORE RONAN!) Romantic, and gorgeously gritty with the perfect level of angst.

I'll start by saying "I FUCKEN LOVE RONAN!"

😭 Oh goodness. Loved this. So good.
Some tough topics, hard moments and some heartbreaking scenes.
Ronan's growth and character development was amazing. It was beautiful to see him become the man he became after traveling a very hard road.
Shiloh was a strong and kind woman. Exactly what Ronan needed.

....AND then there’s the ending. OH MY GAH! The way it was wrapped up. Not just the ending for this book but the ending of the series.... That ending

This may be the best HEA I've read in a while, not only for this book, but for the series as a whole. The amount of heart inside this story and inside Ronan's chest/in his character is just...I don't have the words to describe how it makes me feel, but it makes me clutch at my chest, so just picture that ;)
