Having chosen exile rather than face persecution at the hands of his family, Prince Stephan of Seveihar has finally found refuge in the south kingdom of Segor with his lover and former servant, Warren. For the first time in his life, Stephan is free to be who he really is, to explore his sexual identity and his fascination with all things feminine.

But it seems life has oth

In this sequel to The Castaway Prince, exiled prince Stephan and his lover Warren have spent the last six months building a happy and somewhat prosperous life for themselves living together and openly in the warmer southern lands, away from the war hungry kingdom and family that dispelled Stephan so heartlessly.

Unfortunately, Stephan has become somewhat complacent, brushing aside Warren’s fears that Stephan’s now King brother will ever bother with them again. But when the King’s guard

This sequel finds our prince Stephan, living happily in exile, and though he thinks he’s home free to be who he is and to love who he chooses without recrimination, Stephan underestimates his brother’s irrational hatred towards him. Will Stephan’s new life be quickly shattered by a paranoid king?

I am still enjoying the continued world building in this historical fantasy as well as appreciating Stephan’s much needed growth. He does have a tendency to not see the whole picture or prepare

The Exile Prince is the second book in the Castaway Prince series. The book opens about six months after the end of the first story and catches us up with Warren and Stephan since we last saw them on the run. Given the jump in time and circumstances, I think this book could stand alone, but the stories will work better read in order.

Adler does a nice job here setting up the idyllic life these men are now leading. They are not wealthy, but they are happy and comfor

What a captivating sequel that puts Stephan & Warren (again) in danger.

The epilogue left you at the edge of the seat & you can't wait to finally read the 3rd (and I believe final) volume in the series.

What a journey for the castaway prince and his lover

I really enjoyed The Castaway Prince, the first book in this series, so I was eager to read more on Stephan and Warren's tale. I was delighted to return to the characters I loved so much in Castaway and to find them in a new stage of their lives together.

Stephan, who was certain about who he was but unable to fully experience or express his identity, is now open and proud. There were still some traces of his old self left over, namely his lack of experience with the real world and his relative i

I received a complimentary copy of “The Exile Prince” from, in exchange for an honest review.

Another episode of "The Castaway Prince" series, this particular novella follows Stephan and Warren from where we last left them. I was excited to get back to these two, as I find them each to be characters with depth, flaws, and shining endearments.

To see how they each interact with each other and the world/circumstances around them is always an exciting and fascinating adventure that dri

I would rate this 4 stars.

This is a short novella starting six months after the previous story, The Castaway Prince. You could read this as a standalone with no issues, but it would be more enjoyable read in order. Prince Stephan of Seveihar is living in the southern kingdom of Segor with his lover and former servant, Warren. They've sold Stephan's jewels to set up a Mercantile business. Revelling in the openness and acceptance of Stephan in Segor, they have not been discreet. The previous story

Too short 😒

Even though this went by too quickly, I still enjoyed the continuation of Stephan & Warren's time together in a town where they don't need to hide. It was so refreshing to see growth & love for these two. I love them together. To bad they can't have their HEA with Robert looming in the background. As usual with Isabelle's creative storytelling, I was drawn in immediately and couldn't wait to see what happened next. Recommended for anyone who loves a great historical adventure with rom

Thanks to Netgalley for the complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

It was fun to be back in this world with Stephan and Warren and to see them thriving in their chosen exile. I also loved the addition of Mala - she was a wonderfully feisty new character.

The small glimpse of Stephan's brother Robert also widened the world considerably. He's truly scary, and it left room for more skirmishes between the brothers. This was a solid sequel and I'm ready for more.
And of course it ends with a soft cliffhanger *sigh* On the one hand it’s frustrating, on the other - there will be more books, yay! 😃

Nicely written. Loved Mala, hope we will see more of her somehow.

Isabelle Adler has done it again! This is the second book in The Castaway Prince series. The first installment, The Castaway Prince, introduces us to Stephen. Stephen is genderqueer, dressing each day as his feelings dictate, striving to live a life away from a judgemental society. It doesn’t help that he’s part of the Royal Family.

Last time we’d left Stephen and his ever-faithful valet, Warren, they had fled Seveihar, their kingdom, in search of liberty. Along the way, Warren and Stephen become
