This collection of short stories made me feel like I was back in college - in a good way. The language is accessible but there are layers that beg to be teased apart and held up to the light, and the author leaves a ton of room for interpretation on certain pieces. You find yourself questioning what is reality, and then get thrown into an earnest bildungsroman triptych where you know EXACTLY what reality is. (Well, maybe.) I always look forward to books in the mail, but when they come from Anti-Oedipus the press edited by the author, professor and diabolical genius D Harlan Wilson I move stuff up to the top of the TBR. Any book he puts out I am interested in.

Let me start by saying that the events of the story didn't really matter to me during the experience of reading this book. Bonnie Bee is a talented writer, after reading this short novel I think her greatest strength is a strong voice. It is fitting that the b
