What a way to start Roman and Rourke story. Who could have known a Private Masquerade Party would bring a Prince into Rourkes life and he has turned in upside down the righted it back. It's a whirlwind wind of PUSH and PULl but such a delicious story
THE DIRTY PRINCESS
Wow this story keeps you on your toes. So many twist and turns. Will Rourke and Roman marriage survive the lies and secrets.
THE WAR KING
Wow what a way to end this Trilogy. You get all the answers to the question about the truth behind Roman's empire, the people trying to bring Roman down and you get to see what true love and devotion really looks like. AMAZING.
Overall I really enjoyed this trilogy. Starting at a Masquerade Ball where Rourke meets her Dark Prince Charming to a jerk of a boss, to lovers, add in the twists, turns and betrayal along with a healthy dose of a war lord, and end with a HEA and you have quite a story. I’ll happily read this author again in the future. I’m also look forward to Everly’s story!
Rating 4.5 stars *some spoilers* Loved the mystery and intrigue that is Roman; he's enigmatic and it's unavoidable to question the choices he decides and make, such as keeping the "reality" from Rourke because he wants to keep her safe. The 1st book is considered mild, with a touch of sexual depravity that Roman introduces Rourke to, and the start of their relationship. You can stop reading at Book 1 with the 2 finding their HFN/HEA.
Book 2 and 3 introduces more of the danger that Roman is embroiled in and also explains his past. But the transition from Book 1 to 2 was a bit jerky so it felt like some info was missing or abrupt/sudden in its reveal. His daughter who was the focus in Book 1 was also noticeably missing in Books 2 & 3, not sure why. Although it's dual POV, we tend to read more of Rourke's then his but it could be deliberate as it works through her reluctance and confusion as she sorts out the influx of all the info and reality being revealed to her, and her acceptance to stand by Roman's side. The ending in Book 3 felt a bit rushed, after all the trouble pointed Roman's way and what he was embroiled in, the ending after the culmination of everything, felt anti-climatic (it felt too easy a resolution).
However that said, I did enjoy reading the story, all 3 Books were intriguing and sexy and I was engaged throughout and I always love a strong female lead but I was expecting a more satisfying end related to the life threatening issues Roman was facing and what his plans were related to Kitzeh. But the HEA between Roman and Rourke was beautifully perfect! I will be reading more from this author.

This three-book set is the complete Exiled Prince story and is a thrilling read from start to finish. Each book takes you into Rourke and Roman's adventurous journey. They are descriptively well written with a captivating storyline and plot that doesn't disappoint. In the first book Roman is an exiled prince in another land void of parents and family. She's an assistant to her best friend with only an aunt who is in a nursing home. Rourke crashed a party with her best friend and engaged in a tryst with a man that rocked her world! Little did she know that he would soon become her employer. Roman often thought of the woman he had a tryst with and searched everywhere for her. Imagine his surprise to find out that she is his new assistant. Rourke is the epitome of professionalism, will Roman be able to get her to renegotiate her contract to happily ever after with him? In the second book, "The Dirty Princess" with great power comes great responsibility something that Rourke didn't quite get. Her inability to trust and always thinking that Roman was hiding information from her kept them from being the close couple they could have been. Will Rourke's insecurity be a downfall to their relationship? Finally, the third book entitled, "The War King" is the conclusion and does not disappoint. It grabs you and doesn't let go with its suspense and intrigue. Roman has so much on his plate and Rourke finds herself in the midst of betrayal along with miscommunication coming from Roman. When it all unravels, Roman finds himself having to convince Rourke to come back, but she is unsure that their marriage will survive. Will he find a way to rule and keep Rourke?
This was my first time reading a book by this author. I have to say I loved this trilogy. I'm going to review them separately.
The Exciled Prince book 1
This book was filled with mystery, intrigue, and desire. I was drawn in by the intrigue of the masquerade ball. The way they met and then the revaluation of who each other was was Spectacular. I really loved how the story flowed and keep you wanting more of Roman and Rourke's story. It will build you up for the next book.
The Dirty Princess book 2
Well this was a good book filled with murder, lots of speculation, and down right sadness. The sadness was only because the two of them cant seem to ever catch a break. Something is always pulling them in different directions. By the end things seem to be heading in the right direction.
The War King book 3
I really thought it was going to be about how Roman claimed his country , and then a war would break out. Boy was I wrong. War was used in a way to describe how each of them battled with themselves on how to resolve their problems in the beginning. Then everything started to turn and take you in a direction that led to them discovering that someone had betrayed them. Rourke really stepped up to the plate and helped her man. I was impressed to the lengths that she went. In the end everything came to a head and worked out in a way that made you step back and say wow. I absolutely loved this trilogy and hope whoever reads this will give it a shot.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "THE EXILED PRINCE TRILOGY" WOW!!!! This trilogy grabs you from beginning to end full of mystery, danger, secrets, lies, intrigue, suspense, heat, surprises, twists that have you turning the pages. Roman Menshikov meets Rouke Donahue personal assistant at a secret masquerade ball one, no strings, no faces, no names, simple tight no she gets thrown into decadence, sinful surprises he's dark & more dangerous than she realized. Rourke & Roman marry he's involved in an international war that might get them both killed but he'll doing anything to save his country from ruin but will he sacrife Rouke to do it. I definitely recommend to get this excellent well written intense drama so well worth the read it won't disappoint will Rouke & Roman's marriage survive you must get this amazing trilogy to see how thing's turn out.
This started out very good with great, heated chemistry between the protagonists. Rourke and Roman are both strong, stubborn characters, and the way in which they clash and hold their ground against each other is a big part of what makes this a good story. There's a nice buildup through the first two books and into the third. It becomes more than a romance, moving into some mystery and shady dealings. However, where this fails is that the conclusion is rushed, never really resolving some of the issues, but merely skimming over them. I felt as though the author got tired of writing this story.
IMO, this could have been 4 or 5 stars with a better written conclusion.
I loved book 1. Book 2 annoyed me, because Rourke, the FC, is by turns argumentative then passive and confused. This series, though made me realize that authors may sometimes have to write characters in ways even they don't like or agree with. If a character's actions or beliefs move the plot, then the author must move with the flow as well. Book 3 was more enjoyable, because Rourke and Roman finally were learning to rub together instead of against each other's grain.
Rourke is the personal assistant to her best friend Everly. That is until Everly runs off to get married. But as her friends last outing as a non married woman puts Rourke in a difficult position. Wanting to go to an exclusive masquerade ball that is invite only and Rourke doesn't have a ticket leaves them scrambling. But it works and that is where she meets him. The tall, mysterious man. I enjoyed this book. It just seemed to be missing something.
I could not find a good page to truly sink myself into, during the beginning stages of this novel. I like to imagine it in my mind as a movie as the pages turn; however, I never could find footing to actually get that started here with this story. I would possibly like to try again later, hopefully it might be a better fit.
I give this series three stars. I read the three books. Easy reading, and entertaining. Yet I put a BIG question mark at the existence of 'the Devil's Playground'. I know that there is no limit to what humans are capable of doing with the tools mother nature has given them, but still, this playground really seems a bit 'over the top' for me.
Oh my I loved this series. I had a hard time putting it down. I would love to have my very own Roman, yum. Rourke is one very lucky women. Thank you for all the delicious love scenes, I love those. I would suggest that you get a new editor though, there are quite a few errors in all the books. Just letting you know. Thank you I really enjoyed this box set.
Well written and brilliantly mixed all kinds of situations. Brave characters ,mysterious, lies, deception, sacrifice and tale of love between an Exile Prince and his personal assistant. Recommended.
This trilogy was worth the read. The complex male balanced by the straightforward female. Intense drama. Only things I would improve on are the love scenes are too short and not a lot of build up to it. Still, what is there is well put together.
Handsome prince meets a strong willed beautiful woman and fall deeply in love! After hardships and secrets finally revealed love concurred all! Happily ever after like a fairytale ending! lol
But one chapter in and I was hooked The author wrote the book beautifully I loved the story, the drama the intrigue the action it was just all a beautiful love story and tide with the red bow at the end.
Cunning, intriguing and thrilling, this Trilogy held me captive. All three books in this Trilogy was penned in vivid details with believable characters and plot lines that had me eagerly devouring the pages.
If you like romance novels you’ll love this series. I couldn’t put it down finished in a day and a half. Definitely sinful, relentless, and captivating.
From the very start you are drawn in and swept up in the angst, the drama and the love story. The strong characters and the chemistry between them is amazing.
