This was fab.

Morgan Brice's latest paranormal romance is another brilliant romping adventure full of otherworldly activity.

Simon and Vic are pondering their next steps when things start to get a bit strange in Myrtle Beach.

Without revealing any clues, pasts come back to add both confusion and danger and Simon needs to use all his psychic skills to put things right.

I loved seeing old characters and new work together and get more fascinating takes of ghosts and traditions from the author.

Another wonderful chapter in lives of psychic medium Simon and his detective boyfriend Vic. Told from dual POVs we get to see both men settled into living together and maybe planning something more. The story is fast-paced, suspenseful with a touch of mystery, mystical with a whole lot of magic and moderately angsty but with so much love and care! Loved getting reacquainted with Myrtle Beach and its quirky residents.

I like Simon and Vic as a couple. They are so caring, so supportive of each oth
This is a very nice addition to the series but I doubt I will remember it in a while. However, I will continue to read this series.

Even though I enjoyed this book, I don't have much to say about it. This is just a nice, if maybe a little too simple, story. I guess I missed a more complicated plot. We learn quite quickly who is the perpetrator and it does not change until the end. There is no surprise.

I still like Simon and Vic as the main characters. They make a really lovely couple and I'm glad

Loose Ends is the third novel in Morgan Brice’s excellent Badlands series, and this is another entertaining installment. I love Vic and Simon as a couple and this story really reinforces what a good fit they are for each other. These guys both came out of bad relationships and neither expected to find love like they have with each other. As a couple, they are romantic and sexy and tender. I love the way they support each other, particularly how Vic fully believes in

Simon and Vic have been together for a while and now are both considering putting a ring on it, but naturally, that's when life explodes on them with Simon's ex and mother being as pesky as the cursed ghosts Simon must attend while Vic is caught up with someone out to destroy his life just as the Slitter trial is on the docket. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? I love this pair and was excited to get right back into their Myrtle Beach Grand Strand world.

A real page turner that combines paranormal, supernatural, mystery and m/m romance into what you'd think would just be a mishmash but which actually works very well together. I fell in love with Simon and Vic, the mystery element was so twisty and turny that it kept me guessing for a long time and I even ended up enjoying the ghosts/psychic aspect which is out of my normal reading material.

An entertaining and well thought out story. It's the fourth book in the series and does reference past even

This series continues to get better and better! Simon and Vic are settling in as a couple and they're separately starting to think about proposing marriage to the other - but exes from both of their pasts are putting them each in danger. Morgan Brice continues to blend action, romance, ghosts, mystery, and hot-as-hell love scenes that capture both the tenderness and the primal force that are present in an ideal MM encounter. It's clear that Simon and Vic have a heart-connection with each other. ...more

Danger lurks around every corner in this spine chilling sequel. I loved how suspenseful and exciting this book was. I enjoyed reading more about the characters and watching their relationship continue to bloom and evolve.

As a huge fan of this series, (I’d been following Simon and Vic’s adventures since book 1), when I received this book as an ARC I was so happy... I don’t know where to begin, this series has 3 main elements that made all the books so good. First of all is the amazing paranormal aspect and in every book we learned a little bit more about the extension of Simon powers; Morgan Brice is brilliant in building a world so credible and natural, that you expected Simon intromission in everything paranorm ...more

Loose Ends was a pleasant surprise. I don’t normally go for books involving psychics and mystery but this one was extremely enjoyable and kept me interested throughout it all.

Simon, a psychic medium, and his detective boyfriend, Vic are thinking about taking their relationship to the next level but ghosts from the past are trying their best to keep that from happening. And, now the type of ghost Simon is used to.

Confession time. I did not read the first two books in this series which made me ner

I love this author. I love Simon and Vic. I think they are great characters. I love the mysteries. This is a great series. Loose Ends is the perfect title for this story as both Simon and Vic's exes converge on them, separately, but at the same time. So Simon and Vic have two sets of threads to unravel when trying to figure out what is really going on. The supernatural becomes a bit of of a side issue in this story as it shows that not all mysteries are supernatural in origin. The story has a re ...more

I seriously love the Badlands series, and Loose Ends was a perfect addition! Simon and Vic are back, and this time someone has their sights set on Vic. How are they going to overcome this obstacle?

Tension, suspense, emotional...Loose Ends has it all. Much like the other books in this series, there are cameos from some great secondary characters, a fantastic plot that will keep you guessing, and amazing main characters. Well-written, the story moves at a good pace, but be aware, like the other b

Wow, this next installment to the Badlands series gives you all the feels! Simon and Vic are both ready to take their personal relationship to the next level, hence the arrival of Simon’s ex and another blast from the past to put a wrench in things. Really enjoyed another crazy ride with these two, I won’t give spoilers, so read it!

"Loose Ends" is the third volume of my favorite series by Morgan Brice, "Badlands". I admit that I love the previous two parts with all my heart, but the third one is definitely the best. Let's start with the fact that it is filled with incredible amount of various emotions. However, what I think is very important, positive emotions don't dominate in this installment, as we would expect. In "Loose Ends," the author first of all makes good use of uncertainty, fear, sadness, anger, and doubt. I th ...more

What I Think: If like me, you haven’t read the rest of this series, especially those that came before this, you’ll be hungry for all of it. The tale is great as a standalone, but it teases and hints at other things that will leave you scrambling for the other tales in the series.
Simon and Vic are definitely at a good place after what must have been a whirlwind meeting and romance that must have had lots of Rocky spots making this tale even more precious. The love and care they give each other is

Another ghost-laden and exciting adventure featuring Simon, an authentic medium and his tough as nails cop boyfriend Vic. I have loved all of the books in this series but this one is now my absolute favorite. Even though this can be read as a stand-alone, I strongly encourage you to read the other books as the growth in their relationship evolves over time and really adds to the enjoyment of the story. Simon and Vic are one of my favorite couples as their connection and chemistry ar

“Loose Ends” by Morgan Brice continues to detail the adventures of Simon Kincaide, who is getting more comfortable in using his psychic powers, and his boyfriend, Detective Vic D’Amato, who has become a believer and ardent supporter of Simon. There are restless spirits centering around a cursed amusement park, Vic is also having a string of negative experiences, and each has to deal with an unwelcome visitor from his past. Tensions and danger mount and the question arises…will

This series is one of my favourites by this author. I love the MCs and their relationship, and how Simon’s abilities play a part in the plot. The final scene in this story was very satisfying, and I loved that they both want the same thing, yet are nervous about telling the other.

The more I find out about Simon’s past, his ex, and his mother, the more I’m happy he’s made a new life with Vic. Neither Jacen nor Simon’s mother are very nice, and both are driven by their own selfish agendas. They de

I have listened to previous books on audio and enjoyed them, so I was happy to find out there is another book in series!
It’s as good as previous ones, and while it’s suspense story, the romance is unexpectedly sweet. Since this is a third book, they are in established relationship and living together. This time there is more of focus on romance and characters than in previous story, which made it easy and relaxing to read. There is no adrenaline rushing, intense situations until the very end, it

MMy Thoughts and Confessions

It was so great to go back and enjoy this story in its audiobook form. I read Brice’s “Loose Ends,” exactly a year ago. Even after a year away, the story has not lost any of its flavor. In fact, it is a little more spicy and flavorful because of the Supreme voice talents of Narrator, Kale Williams.

The book may stand on its own, in the paranormal romance department. However, it is a much more delightful story to enjoy if the reader starts at the b

Ghosts and more ghosts!

Loose Ends is such a great book and an excellent addition to the Badlands series. This series caught and held my attention back in October. I'm a relative newcomer to Morgan Brice's books but I got hooked then and I was really happy to get the chance to read and review this new story.

While Loose Ends is book three (or four depending on if you look at Goodreads or Amazon) in the Badlands series I think it works fine as a standalone. The author does a good job of giving you

Vic and Simon have a great relationship, jobs that they love, and their life seems to be running as smooth as they can hope for, but both their pasts are coming back to try to disrupt their lives. I love Vic and Simon together. Even with all the tension, the connection and love between them is great. I thought the ghosts in this story were great, they helped with the flow of the story. Loose Ends is part of the Badlands series and while it is the continuing story of Vic and Simon, you don't need to read the previous books (other than book one). That being said you may want to step away if you have not read the books due to possible spoilers.

I read the first book and loved these characters so was happy to give this book a read. I loved being pulled back into the world created by the author. Simon has his work cut out for him on several cases, but, none of them turn out to be a
Loose Ends is the third book in the Badlands series, a paranormal, high-action/mystery series with a wonderful romance. This book can be read as a standalone quite easily – I have not read any other books in the Badlands series – but I wished I had started from the beginning because these characters are so fascinating and richly crafted.

Simon and Vic are an established couple who are no strangers to danger and the paranormal. When old enemies from the past start to appear, Simon and Vic will ha

This review is for the audiobook version of the book.

I really love Simon and Vic. I haven't read or listened to all the Badlands books, but the nice thing is that there is enough background given in each book so that you don't feel lost. I enjoyed the side stories in this one and seeing Simon use his gifts to communicate with and dispel ghosts. The relationship between Simon and Vic and their devotion to each other is stellar. I was sooo glad that Simon didn't over-react about the supposed pictu

Superb audio version of this book. This book will have you on the edge of your seat from the first chapter. There are dangerous ghosts at an old amusement park, hit and runs with murderous intent, financial and social media hacking and other attacks designed to ruin the reputations and eventually kill our guys. Also putting in appearances are Simon's awful mother and his ex. Very satisfying scenes where Simon faces them down and tells them off. There are also lovely, gentle hurt/comfort scenes b ...more

Gripping, suspenseful, tense

This next book in the Badlands series has old chickens coming home to roost...or just be a pain in the you know what.

Vic and Simon are living together and enjoying their relationship, lives and careers. But of course things can’t continue to go smoothly and suddenly here are strange happenings, calls from home, Simon’s ex...everything centering around a theme of relationships. I really enjoyed the way the author did that.
