They say there are three things you should do at least once in your life:

Dance like nobody’s watching.
Travel the world.
And fall hopelessly in love.

I aimed to do all three.

I went to Italy to find myself.
But he found me.

It was like a story book, our eyes met across a crowded room.
He asked me if I needed help reading the menu.
We ate, we laughed, we danced, and I fell.

The Italian is one of those books I think you're either going to love or hate. Actually, with some of the details in it I'm pretty sure that's the case. It's either a win for you or a loss.

The story centers around Enrico Ferrara, an Italian policeman in Rome and Olivia Reynolds, an Aussie clothing designer on a 5 week holiday that's coming near to a close in Italy. He approaches her while out with his younger brother at a restaurant and the two hit it off. There's instant attraction - he's hot

When I started read this book, I didn’t like, really. It was so predictable and unbelievable.
This author has magic with words, because everything she writes is beautiful.
I can’t wait to read the next!

5 What a surprise stars!!!!!

I am total TL Swan trash!! I love everything she writes! I don’t care what it’s about,if she’s writing I’m reading!! I love her! She writes what she wants to read, what she sees in a hero and a heroine and I think that’s one of the things I love about her. Her books are what she herself would pick up and get lost in. Most of her characters are wealthy and good looking and hung like horsesand sometimes the story is completely over the top but that’s what makes them

When in Rome

I usually write my reviews the second I finish reading the book, but in this case, I took some hours to think about it.
First thought: I liked it a whole lot, though at some point I felt like some parts could have been easily skipped.
Second thought: what about the turn of events in Enrico’s life? As a fairy tales lover, it’s crazy to say “it doesn’t seem real”, right? But hell, how do you call a thirty-something man that has the surprise of his lifetime and had no clue what was

99% of my book choices come from reading my go to authors OR great reviews from GR friends ~ then there is that other 1%..where I actually go out on a limb and just read a random book I see! By looking at the cover I am going to guess that he is why, LOL!!!! and I always love reading a romance that takes place in Italy. This definitely worked out because this book was SOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!

Enrico and Olivia had explosive chemistry and the gut wrenching, deep down to the bone...feel it in your toes
Honestly this book is rather absurd, it involves OTT drama, and there are moments where the hero is an ass of epic proportions, childish, and worse than a two-year-old having one colossal tantrum. Then there is the heroine - I hate how the heroine sacrifices and sacrifices so easily, the rolling over for the hero and his wants had me more than a little irked, that being said, at times the story/events taking place were so bad that they became rather entertaining – hence the 2 stars for what is a ...more

The thoughts that go through Olivia's mind, “do you need some help?” Help with what? Kissing? Undressing? Unzipping your trousers?" Olivia has quite the temper when her man pushes her too far, “you think there’s one set of rules for you, and one set for everyone else, and quite frankly, this spoilt brat attitude you have going on is effing pathetic.” I liled this book, I liked Enrico, even it the man had crazy mood swings.

Another fantastic instalment from TL Swan.
The love story is what we can only dream of experiencing and the one liners that T produce are hilarious!
Fantastic storyline, no cliffhanger definitely a book you can enjoy time and time again like TL Swan’s back catalogue.
It’s definitely recommended . Enjoy...

This book is a concentrate of stereotypes on Italy and Italian males and women and Italy as well
Yes I take this as a personally offence
By the way mrs Swan not all Italians are “Mafiosi”
I inform you that we have Italians blond males with blue eye ( married one ) and we have happily passed the threshold on the 21st century women work and study in Italy
By the way I really loved your Mr Masters and Mr Spencers this has ruined your writing to me for a long while
This book is un readable silly

I have, admittedly, been terribly critical of books lately. Chalk it up to my pregnancy hormones, or the fact that I have a toddler at home and I'm pregnant, but my tolerance level is fairly low. Blame should probably totally be on me, is the point. But sometimes, I truly think I'm reading something different than the hundreds of people

This book will consume not only your heart but your mind and soul will be forever lost to Enrico!!

This was a rollercoaster ride like no other, TL Swan takes us on a frantic and momentous journey that although scary at times you won’t ever want to get off!

Olivia and Enrico’s story leads us down the path of no return, there’s love, heartbreak and drama like no book will come close too! She doesn’t just write a story she invades our mind with her words, pollutes it with her amazing

Yes, I finished it, I finished a romance book, contemporary romance book, no less. Feels like victory!

3 stars

It’s alright but initially, it got my attention. I rather prefer this than chest showing monkeys out there.

Oh honey, where do I start?

OK, no visible triggers but some unsettling stuff. Mafia-related.

I don’t do romance. Okay, that might be an overstatement, but I definitely don’t do contemporary romance. But every once in a while, I turn to them as a

I rarely put one star to a book. I value author works even if in my opinion it's not my taste.

In this case i know what i was getting into to be honest, immature characters with a weird and toxic relationship. Yet i find this author writing really good and engaging. And maybe i have an unhealthy fascination to the wreck of her characters. So yeah i knew i wouldn't condone the behaviors but still enjoy it sometimes (totally like reality tv haha).
But in this one i was very very very

The Italian - TL Swan

The superlatives I could use to describe ‘The Italian”, would consume a dictionary.
A mediocre story – ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Sketchy characters – HELL NO WAY!
Lacking substance – TOTALLY NOT!
This book was just 100% incredible. Every word, every character and every scenario was measured and delivered with brilliance.
TL Swan has been one very busy writer but her trip to Italy has inspired this masterpiece of seriously hot, incredibly moving and emotive writing and I am exstatic that I

Well, what can I say? I discovered T.L. Swan this year and I definitely like her writing. She engages the reader with her characters and it wasn't different with Olivia and Enrico. They definitely made me connect with them.

I love that the story started in a way and it completely changed and yet this change made sense and I still managed to connect with the characters and the story. I didn't expect it to become what it did and it was a nice

This story wasn’t what I expected. To be honest with the title The Italian I had no inklings to what the story would be. I have read most Italian male are playboy cheating scumbag and I’m glad to say this is not Enrico at all. He’s very passionate, intense and loyal. A man who’s very family orientated. Life becomes interesting when he meets an Aussie girl. He’s enthralled as is she. They have an incredible connection and chemistry.
He’s can be very sweet when he’s not being an angry arrogant

This book is fantastic! Packed with angst, drama and smoking chemistry. It certainly was a rollercoaster ride with twists and turns and plenty of OMG moments. Enrico is the biggest alpha I know and I love him so much! Olivia is sassy and so likeable. This is such a well written, well thought out book, I wholeheartedly recommend.

I'm gutted to be giving this book a 3 coz I love TL Swans writing in general but something was off for me with this book! It just didn't flow well and the way the characters spoke at times was strange! Also the storyline in places was beyond unbelievable! I wont give details coz I dont want to spoil it for anyone but I had some serious eye rolling goin on!! and then to top it off my biggest pet peeve happened unrealistic anal sex! No lube or prep and after reading a million time how huge his ...more

The Italian

Man. One thing about TL is that her brain must be a magnificent place. While lots of authors have a systematic way of writing a plot, which tends to allow an avid reader to think they see where something is going, I NEVER predict the turns her books take.

I sincerely hate I finished it already.

This. Book. Was. Everything. Seriously.

I don't even know how to write this

Enrico & Olivia. Ol-iv-I-a... seriously. *fans face*

Hot. Sweet. She writes possessive alpha-hole soooo well!!!

It was interesting and I wanted to keep reading BUT the hero definitely verged into abusive with his outbursts, scary jealousy, and how he never seemed to apologize. (HOW WAS SHE NOT MADDER HE CALLED HER A TINDER WHORE AND SAID HE WANTED TO STRANGLE HER??? I get that maybe you could argue the strangling thing is like a common sentiment when you're mad at someone, but he's said a lot of mean things!!!) I absolutely love an OTT possessive jerk of a hero, but he kept going over lines and didn't get ...more

I am huge fan of T.L. Swan and the characters she writes. Enrico and Olivia are no exception.
I was immediately drawn in and didn’t want to put the book down. The book was filled with twists and turns that I never saw coming. For me, the ending was rushed a bit, but the overall story was great! I cannot wait to see what’s next.

Mio Dio! What a ride!

Olivia is every girl, wide eyed and out of her element on her first solo trip to Rome. Enrico is born and bred Italian, dripping with sexiness and mischief. And their 3 day Roman love affair is what dreams are made of.

Olivia is only in Rome briefly before she heads to the Amalfi coast for a two week girls trip with her bestie. But she meets Enrico,”Rici”, and her world is turned inside out. He’s warm and sweet and romantic and the most beautiful man she’s ever met. (The

The Italian was an unexpected treasure from TL Swan that had you hooked from the very first chapter. Olivia and Enrico have that instant attraction, you know the one where they lock eyes across a crowded room and you instantly feel the heat that smolders between them. However as drawn to each other as they are events erupt and these two are torn apart. Time does not mellow anything between these two and actions are put into place to ensure that they cross paths again. Cards are laid out, the ...more

Oh my heart! Pretty sure this is my favorite by T. L. Swan...maybe...probably..fine I love all of the author’s books.
The Italian was different. There was definitely more suspense and mystery in this one.
I kinda felt like the sexy times were more intense..yummy.
Enrico was the perfect alpha male....seriously perfect.
Olivia was strong, independent and owned her sexuality.
Honestly, I didn’t want this one to end. I was relived to see Ferrara-Coming Soon.
The Italian has everything you want and a bag

I’m moving to Italy...swoon...

I’m always excited to read a new book from TL Swan. In my opinion she is the Queen of what she does. Hands down. For any author that makes me sigh with longing, laugh out loud at the banter between the main characters, identify with a ditzy moment or two from the heroine of the story, cry as though my heart is breaking and want to jump my man after reading a steamy scene...well they are on my one click, top priority book list for life!
