Good Story

I enjoyed this story. It had good movement, and the author tied everything up nicely to an exciting, well orchestrated climax and final showdown. The magic system was definitely a highlight for me, and I liked the MIB-ish walk through the wizards headquarters or Planetary Homestead. I dont usually read YA but this was a good Urban Fantasy and am looking forward to more.

Personable and sometimes exasperating Junior High kids give this book lots of energy and personality. The principles of magic mentioned in the title are complex and intriguing, with some features I've never encountered in fantasy fiction before. If you're thirteen-ish, you should enjoy this debut novel from a creative author.
