It seems really interesting, but with the super instant-lust and Cole and Jasmine's first meeting at the office, I couldn't get into it. And I just couldn't find their moment at the elevator sexual/hot. How would you feel if a stranger—who is also your client—presses you against the wall like it's his business? I would've kneed him in the groin and filed a sexual harassment complaint.

The author's writing style has potential and others might enjoy it (there's a grumpy hero a la Beast i

“Pain is like love; you can’t choose to feel it and when it has you in its clutches, you can’t get rid of it anymore. But overtime, it can fade.”
Good Grief by Vera Elle Unita is a standalone contemporary romance that is breathtaking, gorgeous and heart melting story that captured me whole heartedly.
Jasmine Frost finds herself enthralled to a stranger who is grief stricken, full of pain in the hospital while she is there assisting a friend

I went into the story not knowing what to expect from a first time author. I was very impressed with the lack of grammar or punctuation issues, the fully fleshed out characters, and the way the story came together. I'm going to be honest....I cared so much about these characters, that the epilogue had me teary-eyed. Obviously, Chester was the dog lead and he clearly stole the show. I appreciated that Cole and Jasmine had well thought out back stories and I was glad that they got the ending that ...more

When I first saw the cover, I was like "Aw thats so cute, look at the little Frenchie on it!" I love the fact that the little Men is on it. It's simple, but perfect for the Story. You can see the connection between the Man and the Dog.

There immediately is an attraction between Cole and Jasmine. It's like they know each other for a long time, but they don't exactly know why there feeling this way. Cole has a lot of Pain and Bitterness inside of him. Had he experienced bad thin

4.5 stars.

This cover had a puppy, how could you not enjoy it.
Cole & jasmine were on fire from their first meeting. Cole, was so beautifully damaged, he didn't need anything or anyone in his life & jasmine was great, she would do so much to be that light in coles life. Fantastic, emotional story.

Jasmine Frost is very exited for her first day at her new job. How could she knew, what happened at work? The arrogant billionaire Cole Ward wants her to lead the renovations in his mansion. Jasmine has to move in with Cole to oversee the renovations. But the mansion needs definetly more than a little makeover. That means, Jasmine ist stuck with Cole for more than a few days. He is really curious, doesn't like her little puppy and is very gruff. But there is something between them, that no one c ...more

I loved Jasmine!!! Yeah Cole Ward is sexy, alpha, bearded, broody yet it was the heroine stole my heart.
She met Cole five years ago by chance at hospital. She comforted him when he was going through a monumental change in life. At present, she is tasked to renovate his house and they don't remember each other.
The chemistry is instant and hot. But do the feelings run deep? I could not grasp how Cole was so much in grief yet so in lust with Jasmine. She was very clear on her expectations yet Col

I love the way the author used the words Good Grief in an untraditional way. It helped to make something very sad into something you can handle. I knew, after the first chapter, that this was going to be a sad, wonderful and great book, all in one. I stayed up until 5:30 am to finish it, unable to put it down for a minute. My eyes kept trying to close, KNOWING I had church this morning, but the book won. I went to church on two hours of sleep. The ending is a wonderful tearjerker, lots of warm f ...more

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. I could not put this book down. The characters became my friends as soon as I began. I couldn't help , but become a part of the story looking in from the sidelines and rooting for them all the way. Even through painful circumstances Cole and Jasmine try to become a team. The author succeeded in spinning this tale with passion and ease that made this story one you just do not want to end. I would recommend this book to everyone! ...more

While I think things went really fast between these two in a way that was completely unbelievable... I still really enjoyed the story. The Plot was really good I totally got into it I loved the beginning and how they have this connection. It was never a question that I would love the little man lol. Hope to read more by this author soon.

I loved Good Grief's storyline because in most of the books that have read about the damaged hero, mostly the hero refused love and wanted to protect his heart from love but that didn't happen in this story. Cole actually embraced aliveness that Jasmine brought and he did not push her away.
"Because when everything was dark, even the tiniest drop of color was valuable. Let it be a whole clash of colors and you sure as hell needed to hold on tight in order to never get lost to the darkness ever ag

I am in love with Cole! Enough said, goodbye!

Just kidding. LOL...maybe.

This story is so awesome!

While reading this book I was ticked off, mad, happy, crying, and now I am in love.

This man has lost something so dear and precious to him. He has been living on autopilot for five years.

I would give anything to be there with them when Jasmine told him that she remembered where she saw him!!!

I can tell you that this is my first read from Vera and it was unbelievable!

The epilogue pulled at my heartst

When I read the blurb for this novel, I was intrigued. It took me a few days to finally dive in because I had other book commitments on my plate, but I finally got the opportunity to dive in.

As far as novels go, I will say that I had a very hard time finishing this one. I am normally invested in a story within the first few pages once I connect with the characters. I did not connect with the characters in this book at all. And I tried really hard to find that c

Still not sure how I feel about this novel. On the one hand I enjoyed watching the hero get his second chance at love. On the other, I really didn’t feel any chemistry between the leads, I didn’t feel anything for the characters, and the dialogue felt shallow and boring. I cringed reading the dialogue in the opening scene while they are in the ED waiting room. It was like reading the most basic cliché conversation imaginable for that type of situation.

I felt like the author tried too hard to giv

When two people meet years after bumping into each other at a hospital, the connection they felt is rekindled in this emotional romance.

It is a moderately-paced love story with instant chemistry that lightened up an otherwise tragic incident. I liked how the author used a sense of humor in the dialogue. It was fun to see the two clash and banter against each other, and the added canine touch was fun.

I gave this book 4 out of 5 stars. If you like reading emotional romances that will leave you s
