Audio love. This series is great. I can’t wait for the last instalment.

Mona’s original plan was to find a magic book but needed help from a vampire. That vampire is now not talking to her and she wants to make amends more than anything.

Will the pieces start to fall into place in this second instalment and could there be consequences to getting what you thought you wanted.

Loved it. *ARC given in exchange for an honest review. I’m a Laura Greenwood groupie and will happily admit I’m hooked on h

I enjoyed this book. Teens and young adults will love this story. Daphne is hurting because Heath found out about what Ryan wants her to do. Ryan still wants her to get a vampire to bring them to the vampire library. She is still struggling with Cade and Bradley liking her. Will she get Heath to understand? What will she do with her feelings for Cade and Bradley? What would happen if she did get someone to bring her to the library? Will they find the spell? Will they get caught if they do? Can't ...more

This is the second book in the Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs Series and we continue to watch as Daphne tries to find a way to keep going if she wants to stay at the academy. After the problems that showed up in the first book we watch as Heath is still not speaking to Daphne and her brother is still pushing for her to find the spell. Lets just say you need to prepare for a funny ending to this book and then will want to start reading the next book in the series immediately.

Catching A Wizard by Laura Greenwood is the second book in the Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs and I’m really loving this series.

Daphne is a fun and intelligent character to read, and I love the slow developing relationships through this series with Heath, Cade and Bradley. Plus the added bonus of the linkage with the Grimalkin Academy: Kittens series.

Yet more paranormal drama

I was firstly so happy to see that the Grimalkin Academy books run parallel to each other, as it makes it so much easier to follow (I’ve heard that timelines and planning help a lot!). So there are no spoilers in Mona’s story, as long as you have also been keeping up to date with the progress on that side, too. Any spoilers to be found are minor, anyway, so it shouldn’t spoil rea
I had to think about what I wanted to write because once again Laura Greenwood has taken a series in a direction I did not expect it to go. (laugh) Imagine that an author with tricks up their sleeve?

Catching a Wizard is all about the chase, but not so much for a wizard, but for that elusive thing: someone else’s answers. People are keeping secrets from Daphne including those that are close to her. Daphne is building a long list of questions and we all know how Daphne can get when she starts poki

Catching a Wizard by Laura Greenwood is a slow burn reverse harem academy romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kate Richardson. This is the second book in the Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs series.

I just love Laura’s books. They always leave me begging for more. The Story does end on a cliffhanger, but that was no surprise since it is part of a series. I can’t wait for the third book Catching a Warlock to be released on audible.

Kate did a great job on the narration. I loved that she us

This is a cute story but is seems more like a few chapters in a book versus an actual second in a series. Nothing is really accomplished to further the arc and while Heath finally gets to hear the story of what was really happening nothing further goes with it. Overall I was left feeling as if I had somehow only downloaded part of the book and while I don’t mind paying for books, $2.99 for book so short and unfulfilling seems a bit much. I don’t know that I will read the next one as the second d ...more

Daphne returns heartbroken because of what happen last semester. It has been weeks since Heath last talked to her. She also has to deal with Cade's Confession last term and Bradley wanting to get together. During a incident Cade takes her back to her room and tells her to tell Heath everything and she does. And he decides to help her. Between Ryan making her look for that spell and Heath, Cade, and Bradley and the relationships with them she is looking to have a very busy year. ...more

I really enjoyed this book, the plot focuses on a mysterious hunt for a missing family spell, and the plans of twins Daphne and Ryan to find it. Obviously this isn't plain sailing, and Daphne's already run into trouble from Ryan's games, alienating potential love Heath. The hijinks kept me engrossed to the end and loving every moment, and sad when I finished all too soon, I can't wait for the next book, hopefully with the same fantastic narrator Kate Richardson. ...more

Nice book

There are many books I didn't read to the end. I finish this book easily so it deserve five stars. The world building is weak like in the first book. We don't know Howe the characters look and even the vampire library isn't describe well.

This is book 2 of 3 in the new Catacombs mini series of the Grimalkin Academy books. These books feature Daphne's story, and I loved reading from her viewpoint. I won't tell you what happens (I hate spoilers!) but it's a great book, and I highly recommend it to all Grimalkin Academy fans, or lovers of supernatural stories, and its young adult target audience means it's suitable for all ages. Can't wait to see what happens next!

It has been weeks and Heath is still not talking to Daphne Chambers. She really wants to ask him to forgive her and make things right again. Then the professor assigns them as partners in a project. Heath tried to change partners but was not permitted to, so he told her they would communicate only by email and only for this project. As he leaves class, Emma puts her hand around his waist and he makes eye contact with Daphne.

Ryan is still focused on finding the family spell but this time Daphne f

A highly entertaining second installment in the series. Although it has a slow burn reverse harem theme, it's clean and sweet and can be read by teens and young adults. As always with Laura Greenwood's books, it's well-written, the characters are intriguing and well fleshed-out, and the storyline has equal doses of romance, mystery and suspense, as well as hints of academy bullying. With this series Laura expands her Grimalkin Academy Universe, adding more characters and species, subtly but defi ...more

Our heroine is still looking for the family spell, plus trying to make up with the vampire she likes. Does she ever have time for school work?

So this is book twp of a new series at Grimalkin Academy, not to be confused with the other series at the academy where every time the character casts a spell, cats appear. The two story lines are related, but it is not necessary to read the other one to enjoy this one. I do, however, recommend starting at the beginning of this storyline rather than here.

Dazzling! Laura delivers one mesmerizing, heart pounding, pulse racing, page flipping delight that's as riveting as it is captivating. A swirling multitude of vexing circumstances and a bevy of surprising events blasts this bad boy wide open. A vortex of spinning emotions bursting into play front and center. Distress, heartache and turmoil set the pace for this block busting, prize winning, exciting experience. The drama, humor, intrigue and engaging suspense melds

Daphne and Health are still not speaking, she wants to fix it so badly. When she sees Emma again trying to win Heath over, she loses it. She runs into Cade, he tries to help her feel better and gives her advice. She knows how he feels about her, she has feelings for him too, but she wants Heath.
Daphne is finally about to speak to Heath, she explains everything. Then plays off that she is now seeing Bradley, which makes it complicated for them

We are catching up with Daphne’s story after Mona’s second book now and a lot has changed for them both in this. First of there are kittens EVERYWHERE. Mona’s magic works now sometimes leaving behind a kitten each time and Daphne just loves them. She is still on the outs with Heath after their breakup at the end of the last book and makes a few misguided decisions during this book while being roped closer to Heath by forces beyond her control. There’s still some drama with all the guys in this b ...more

Catching a Wizard by Laura Greenwood is the second book in the amazing Grimalkin Academy: Catacombs series. In this book, Daphne tries to get Heath the vampire she was previously dating to forgive her. Ryan is still focused on finding the family spell but Daphne has more important things on her mind like getting a certain vampire to forgive her. Heath is still hurt and mad at her, so what's a girl to do? Get some help from another guy who likes her, of course. And maybe a little bit of pretending with another boy, a childhood sweetheart. But what happens when it all doesn't seem like pretend?

For such a smart girl Daphne has a way of getting herself in a mess. I do enjoy her directness. This s

Laura has a way to make paranormal books different with quirkiness. This story continues from the first book so if you haven't read that, you need to in order for this one to make sense. Daphne is in even more trouble and trying to win back the guy she wants. But what about others that are trying to get her attention? It's intriguing and keeps you wanting to keep reading. It is a slow burn though and you will not get a resolution here as there is another story that continues from this. But it wi ...more

In the second book of the series, Daphne is trying to win Heath back, but also trying to figure out her relationship with Bradley and Cade.
In addition Ryan and Daphne still work on the family spell.
the book is well written, a mix of romance and fantasy-mild thriller.. As a warning - the book ends in a cliff-hanger.
As this is still fairly much at the beginning of the series, one can still understand the story without having read the first book - but having the knowledge makes the book a far bett

So the second book in this series is funny and sweet at the same time. Progress is made on Ryan's plan to get into the Vampire Library as things start to heat up in Daphne's life. School seems to take a back seat to her love life that made me laugh out loud. Plus more of the mystery is revealed and the ending was stellar and made me laugh even more. I did like the school scenes and the heat that is building up between Daphne and the guys. Just a well written easily read story that kept my attent ...more
