One neat volume holds the wisdom of one of the foremost thinkers in the New Thought movement. It explains basic metaphysical practices from Dr. Cady's personal experiences. Three classics in one Lessons in Truth (over 1.6 million copies sold), How I Used Truth, and God a Present Help.
I loved this book written by a woman doctor - I believe around the turn of the century. She has been published in the Unity literature, but she doesn't belong specifically to that religion, she is one of the pioneers in the New Thought movement. She has truly "walked the talk" over many years of spiritual practice. I read her book when I was on shaky ground and her writing supported me in being clear and moving on in my life.
I had shied away from reading this years before, because I believed it to be metaphysical or humanistic...HOWEVER, it is a revelation to me! So many things have become clearer to me. It is FULL of scripture and makes the Spirit of Christ so much more touchable. I cannot recommend it enough for anyone who really wants a spiritual journey.
Complete Works of H. Emilie Cady is a fascinating piece of spiritual literature, a true classic for connoisseurs of this genre. Her profound insights and timeless wisdom continue to inspire readers seeking deeper understanding and personal growth. A must-read for anyone passionate about spiritual exploration!
When i'm running low on the spiritual juice, when I feel like my connection with God is at a low... Its usually back to this book that I go. Well, this and a couple of others. She wrote it way back when... but it still feels right.
I was introduced to this book during a Wednesday night book study at my church. She talks about settling into the silence, and feeling one's connection with the divine. Some pretty good stuff in there.
