A brilliant, thorough treatise on mankind's relationship with Mother Earth. Very well researched and thoughtful in its arguments, I found this to be a very good introduction to a multi-disciplinary approach to our place in Nature. The challenge that comes through Devereux's thinking is to put right our mindset about how we relate to the earth, and to rediscover the powerful relationship that was known by many earlier societies. I will want to re-read this text before too long.
