A guidebook to the history of Calanais (previously spelled Callanish), a stone ring / avenue in the Western Isles of Scotland, and associated sites / monuments nearby. This was presumably sold at the tourist centre at the site, and is likely only of interest to people who have actually been there.
The book is intellectually honest in that it does not speculate or theorise about what the purpose of the prehistoric stone site may be, and sticks with the factual. Unfortunately, given the lack of information about the site, this means the book ends up saying very little. Hopefully more has been discovered since it was written in 1995.
