The lead singer and the hottest band in the world took Ada by storm. He stole her heart, her sense of balance and it seems she had won Kai’s heart, too, or had she? There is something too “larger-than-life” about Kaison, something just out of reach, but Ada had no idea just how great his secrets were or how his life was not his own to live, or even how deadly loving him could be.

THE ATLANTIS BLOODLINE by C.A. Gray is a tale of many tentacles leading to supernatural secrets, secret societies and

The Atlantic Bloodlines is a story of hard times on both sides of the tracks.

Ada Edwards is a girl trying to juggle poverty and school. She only has her dad and lives a simple life. When she meets Kai a famous lead singer she can’t believe he could be interested in someone like her. She’s smitten right from the start but the feelings aren’t one-sided.

Kai is rich and famous but his life isn’t his own. He’s a member of a secret organisation who has a motive when it comes to Ada. Kai doesn’t want

The Atlantis Bloodline is a young adult book that merges contemporary romance with fantasy in a unique way.

I’m not entirely sure what it is about the Atlantis mythology that intrigues me so much, but when I see a book that incorporates elements of it into a fictional story, I am there for it. So the premise of The Atlantis Bloodline hooked me instantly and I was curious to see how it would play out.

This follows a few perspectives, including Ada and Kai, as they meet and fall for each other. Fi

This is strictly my personal opinion.
The first 20% of this story told from the point of view of Ada had me absolutely enthralled - hook, line and sinker. I was mesmerized by Ada and Kai’s interactions. I connected with how Ada felt about Kai in a way that had me remember some very fond memories of when I was that age.

Next, we switch to Kai’s point of view, which was great because we got his back story and also the reason he popped up in Ada’s life. It really couldn’t be so simple as boy saw beau

I had no idea how amazing this book would be until I started reading and found myself unable to put it down. And then I read the author's review about how she just combined all of the things that she loved into one story and it blew me away. This book is packed full of fun things, a bad boy rockstar (which you quickly learn is only a facade), a sweet girl, a homeless neighborhood protector, mermaids, Atlantis, Greek mythology, awesome magical superpowers (I don't want to spoil this part, but the ...more

I was going to be stingier with my 5-star ratings but the books I’ve been reading have been so good. This book is one of them. I just loved the characters and the storyline. For once, the heroine is not a gorgeous, just pretty, can do it all, top of her class woman. She is a normal 17yo who must work very hard to get passing grades. She is a poor but hardworking girl. If she is not at work at a coffee shop, she is busy studying. Her job allows her to give her Dad money to help wit

Ada Edwards doesn’t have much but her father and their little apartment in Kansas City. But one night she sees rock star Kaison, Kai, Hughes. This leads to him pursuing her and her falling in love with him. But there is so much more to this story. Kai is part of a secret group called the Elioud and Ada is the last of the Maia bloodline.

Kai has been giving the take to bring Ada into the group and in exchange he will get one wish which he will use to free his sister. It sounds simple enough but K

What I Loved:
I loved the fun YA plot of a girl being chased by a rock star. It was a cute way for the two of them to meet and begin to interact. I loved the struggle that Kai faced as the story unfolded. His feelings towards Ada or his duty to the society? Will their love prevail?

How I Felt:
The Characters: The main characters in The Atlantis Bloodline are Ada and Kai. I enjoyed their interaction and romance. Their connection felt real and I was invested in their relationship. Ada is wonderful. S

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and was amazing! This is one of my favorites that C.A. Gray has written. I immensely enjoyed following the story of a young girl being pursued by a famous rock star but with a catch! Don’t worry, I won’t give anything away but you have to read it! This book is written from a few different perspectives. The author does a fabulous job seamlessly transitioning from one character to the next and always does so right when I ...more

I must preface by stating that I'm not much of a fantasy reader. I was drawn to the description of this book and thought, "why not give it a shot?"

I'm really pleased that I did. I cant say that I have seen the Atlantis premise around often and I enjoyed that new original story quite a bit.

Ada was a very well developed character who I enjoyed getting to know through the story. It was nice to see her grow as she realizes she had more capabilities than she thought.

What a start! The Atlantis Bloodline by C.A. Gray, it had me from the prologue. I loved the scene descriptions and the feelings evoke in me on every page. It is a treat from the beginning to the end, with its rich flavor of fantasy. Magic, runes, love and hate are mingled amongst the lines of this story. The first part of the book is all in the main character i.e., Ada. Then, it continues pretty much the same, this time with the view of the male character Kai.

The Atlantis Bloodline by C.A. Gray was a fabulous book! The storyline flowed smoothly, transitioning between characters seamlessly, telling one story through the point of view of the two main characters. This author’s twist on the tales of the lost city of Atlantis kept me entertained and eager to keep reading when I really should have been working.

Kai is a gorgeous rockstar who has a dark past. Ada is a sweet and innocent girl next door who has been plagued with nightmares her entire life. Wha

This book had a slow start for me, but once it picked up the pace, I was hooked. Ada is smart enough to want to be cautious about falling for Kaison, but naive enough to not guard her heart. Kaison wants to complete his mission but not at the price of his morality. There's an equal balance of romance and action that kept me enthralled. Also, the idea of an Illuminati-like group of descendants from Atlantis is fascinating! Gray touches on family relationships, self vs. social expectations, and cl ...more

I LOVED this book. It was a lot like Rick Riordon books that so many children love. It has some mythology and the story was well developed. The characters were believable and easy to route for. I couldn't put it down. A great book to get a young mind reading.

It's release day for The Atlantis Bloodline!

I think what inspired me to write this book was an interview at the end of Caraval with author Stephanie Garber. In it, she said she wrote Caraval as an amalgamation of all her favorite things. I thought, what a fun idea for a book! Just keep a list of all your favorite ideas and things, since you'll live in your created fantasy world longer than anybody else will!

So that's The Atlantis Bloodline for me. I love the beach and the ocean and mermaids. I l

Full disclosure: I received an advance review copy for free. But I am determined not to let that sway my opinion one way or another. I try to give my honest opinion on the story itself.

That being said, I did enjoy this book. The plot is an interesting one with several twists. A lot happens in this story including topics like Atlantis (obvious, I know), superpowers, Greek gods, a secret society, a Romeo-Juliet type of background, and mermaids. I have always loved the story of Atlantis and mythology, so I gravitated to this book after reading the synopsis. Although I do not usually read fantasy, this book has me craving more as the author kept my attention the whole time and introduced so many interesting fantastical elements. I found myself weighing the pros and cons of the different gifts and which I would want to have.

Note: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’ll start by saying I enjoyed the overall idea of the story itself. The idea that family will do anything for family is common and enjoyable, but of course if the character is within a certain age range one can almost expect that when the romance takes over that it may be overwhelming, predictable even, and that was the case here I’m afraid. The character development of Ada really agitated me because I felt like her cha

When Ada Edwards meets Kaison Hughes, who happens to be the lead singer is a world famous band, she can't understand what he sees in her. Despite warnings about him and some suspicious stalker type behavior to begin with, she's rapidly falling in love. But it's obvious he has a secret, and he's not all he appears to be, as would be expected in this type of book. What happens next is a mixture on contemporary romance elements and urban fantasy, with just a dash of Greek mythology.

Ada Edwards is a very beautiful soul. It’s what I wish everyone were like. Selfless. Caring. Kind. She is a people’s person and quite lovable. The storyline is quite simple, even though there is a lot of captivity and exchange offers for the captives (😀). When situations calls for it her kindness makes her brave. But the most beautiful thing is she has faith that in the end her trust will not be for naught. What I do find a little unrealistic the way she falls in love with a guy whose reputation ...more

I really enjoyed this book! It was great, though I do have some small frustrations. First, though, a positive - the prologue hooked me in! It made me want to keep reading, but it didn't create too much suspense that I was confused or wanted to skip ahead. I was interested in the book because I enjoy fantastical elements in otherwise realistic fiction, and it did not disappoint. I was impressed with the mythol
