Breakfast at the Honey Creek Cafe by Jodi Thomas is a nice, relaxing romance in small town Texas with a dash of mystery tossed in.

I enjoyed meeting everyone in Honey Creek, Texas and enjoyed the nice vacation from the current-day stresses and troubles. I enjoyed Piper and Colby and also enjoyed reading through the eyes of alternating characters. The descriptions of the town landmarks and landscapes were depicted in such a way that it really felt as if I was there. I also enjoyed the ending.

Breakfast At The Honey Creek Cafè is one of those enticing novels that draws you in with a catchy prologue. Having read the first handful of chapters, I was already eager to learn more about the main character and play sleuth as I progressed further into the novel. Theres a little bit of everything in here- quirky characters, a plot that hooks you, and a promised blend of romance and intrigue.

Presently, theres a strong demand for novels that help us escape as we navigate through these unknown

Great characters from the start - loved it!

The book starts out with the viewpoint of three main characters: Piper (mayor of Honey Creek), Sam, and Colby. The author skillfully draws you into all these characters with her excellent character development and realism. It's truly a gift when an author has the ability to make you care about their characters as soon as you meet them. The book is set in a small town, which appeals to me greatly having come from a very small town myself. I understand

The cover of this book is cute and definitely fits the theme of the book correctly. The small town romantic feel is true to fit of the genre.

While I've never read a book by Jodi Thomas, I have heard great things about her work.... so I was excited to read this book.

Main Character Piper Jane Mackenzie is the mayor of Honey Creek, with the dreams of eventually running for higher office. There's a potential scandal knocking on the gates of the small, quirky town, and Piper will do anything to

Thomas begins new series about Honey Creek, TX. I love this writer! Reading her books is one of life's pleasures. No one writes about about a Texas town like Thomas. Her characters are so quirky. There were several scenes that made me laugh out loud. One sentence was hilarious, " By the time the woman quit singing, Colby wished he was drunk." My favorite was Pecos. He had big dreams and no expectations. I adored him. Thomas' writing is so engaging and inviting that a reader never wants the story ...more
