Got this as a ARC read :)

A sorta one night stand that wasnt suppose to be a one night.  Madeleine and Oliver were having fun in Hawaii until Maddie snuck out since she had a early flight to get to thinking it was just one night. But fast forward 5 months later Oliver is searching high and low for his woman who snuck away. But thanks to his sister who has a obsession with celebrity or models he found his woman, now he going off to LA to get her.

Their reunion is hot and then cold thanks to some quake doctor telling Oliver he needs to keep his hands body away from a prego Maddie.. and he is coldish alittle towards her but he wants to hold her, rub the belly.. and it takes awhile for that to snap away. As for Maddie she feels like Oliver doesn't truly love her.. thank goodness they settle this.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, riny drama , slight secondary chara,  sexy times, Both Virgins (he implied she was the only woman he slept with??)

Rough

I hate saying this because her books are usually cute and fun reads. This was a bit of a hot mess. Good premise, but oddities had me skim to finish. Like he finds out where she lives so he goes there and buys the entire 40 story building in seconds and has access to her rental info immediately so he can go to her door. So bizarre. Too far for even this kind of fiction. And then he commands a chopper to get them from that building. He’s told by some random doctor who is supposedly educated that he has to be careful being intimate with a pregnant woman so he takes that too far and treats her like garbage so he can avoid pushing his desire on to her. I mean he’s a big ole virgin for 30 years but can’t control himself now? He’s got a massive scar that runs along his face that she says twice “there must be a story there” and then - no story. Why mention it at all if you’re not going to give us his background? Then they go for an ultrasound that amounts to literally just looking at the gender, nothing else. Not how that works at all. They realize then that they love each other and run across the street to a hotel that he doesn’t own but he magically has a room key to. No explanation there, they just need to get it on and he has this magic key. Weird OTT. I like OTT Instalove and all that jazz but this was just weird.

This was a good story but not my absolute favourite by Ella Goode. I really liked Madeline but I didn’t really connect with Oliver. He had to know that his behaviour was hurting Madeline. He needed to push down his lust and be there for his woman. I’m glad he got his head straight quick.

Muy flojito. Le falta chispa y que la trama no se desarrolle a toda velocidad, ademas algunas actitudes de los protagonistas no son nada verosimiles, y aunque eso no me suele molestar en este tipo de lectura ( se lo que encontrare, no es mi primera vez con este tipo de novela ), en esta ocasion me molesto un poco, sobre todo porque me sacaban de la lectura continuamente.

Secret Baby es lo que parece. Un relato con las paginas justas, que se lee rapido y se olvida al instante, sin embargo, a mi me suelen sacar de mis bloqueos, y eso es justo lo que necesito ahora mismo.

Ok, before we go any further, I need to admit that secret babies and hidden pregnancies are one of my favourite tropes in these short romantic novellas. I don't know if it's because I am baby hungry or if it's just a lovely cliche story, but definitely there is something about it.

So... Yes, I loved it and I want more stories like these. Ella Goode wrote so much this year, and this is my call to her to write even more :)

Oliver ha estado buscando a Madeleine desde esa noche hace cinco meses. Cuando la noticia de que una de las modelos más famosa del mundo está embarazada, no está seguro de que sea su bebé pero no le importa y va tras Maddie.

Oliver es todo un macho alfa, lo que significa que no es bueno en la comunicación, así que se enredan un poco las cosas.

Secret baby type story always can be tricky for safety readers, I almost missed this one because of its title. But I am so glad I read this. I am so in love with their story. Oliver was so adorable, he was like a teddy bear always protecting his Maddie.

“Handcuffs.”

“I can see that. Why did you put them on us?”
“Isn’t it obvious? It’s so I can keep track of you.”

“How am I supposed to go to the bathroom?” She tries to reason with me.

Madrid thought what they had was just a one night stand, but she was wrong. Oliver loved her since the first glimpse of her. They missed fiver months together, but Oliver continually looking for her every day, never stopped one second.

“Did you order everything?” I slip into one of the seats, reaching for a piece of bacon.

“I didn't know what you liked.” His eyes take in what I’m wearing and I’m pretty sure he likes it. He’s so hard to read.

“Well, you don’t talk to me much, so…” I say with my mouth full of food. I glance up at Oliver, who hasn't sat down to eat with me. He looks like I smacked him. The shock is clear on his face. “What? I mean, I don’t know anything about you. You know nothing about me and we’re getting a house together. Having a baby.”

He pulls out a chair and starts to talk. He tells me everything about himself. I sit and listen, hanging on to every word that his gorgeous mouth utters. “Eat or I’ll stop talking.”

Oliver was so cute, he spoiled Maddie in all kinds of way, he didn’t know how to get along with people, and always say the wrong things, which was hilarious. But when he was learning how to cherish Maddie, it was becoming more beautiful.

The doctor starts to run a small object over Maddie’s belly and a sound fills the room. At first it’s a whirring and then a thump, thump, thump.
“That’s—oh, Oliver, that’s our—“

“Baby,” I finish in an awed whisper. I fall to my knees and press my face against her side. “That’s our baby.”

God, what a miracle. What a fucking miracle. I can’t ever lose Maddie or this baby. I swear nothing will separate them from me.

So many scenes of them made me feel touched. Their story was super sweet, and super completed. I enjoyed throughout reading, not plot twists, no plots wrenching, everything he did for her was amazing and adorable.

“Baby,” I say by way of apology, “it’s been five months since my cock has had any attention from anything but my hand.”
“Really?”

“Fuck yeah.” I’m almost offended. “I’ve been looking for you for the last five months.“
“Oh.”

One of the reasons I love Oliver was celibate since he had sex with Maddie. (P.S: He hadn’t slept with other woman even before Maddie.) He was so good as a man and a father.

Esta ha comenzado de manera diferente, con el drama ya montado y en su pico más alto, pero está bien porque todo lo demás es siempre felicidad por todas las esquinas.
Me encanta esta autora, se ba convertido, entre otras, en una de mis favoritas. Así que por supuesto recomiendo este y todos sus libros!
