Lily used a pair of vice grips to pry her fingernail up, showing him the bleeding gore underneath. “That’s so much better,” she said. “Now I can breathe. It’s easier once you let it out.”
When Steven and Roy agree to help a woman who accidentally animates a collection of antique dolls, they find themselves in a much deeper haunting than either expected. At a house near Deadwood, South Dakota, they uncover a room full of dead people.

Each has a strange metal tube sticking out of one ear.

Deem joins Steven and Roy along with Terrell and a cast of new characters, all trying to unravel the mystery of the corpses and the tubes, exposing a deadly conspiracy within the town. In the process, they confront uncomfortable questions about death:

How long does it really take to die?

At what point are we really gone?

Node is a fast-paced ghostly adventure, and the fifteenth book of The River series.

It really coulda been a 4or 5 star!

So, I read all of Richan's books, and I usually always enjoy the main plot as I did this one. I just can not respect his way overheard of taking God's name in vain with characters who then say they believe in God. As a Christian, I like good fiction like anyone else but the graituitous swearing by God is exhausting. Now, we have a girl who streams porn! Just keeps going to the garbage side of fiction!

The house and it's horrers

I have really enjoyed the River Series. This book was really good because there were lots of twists turns. The characters are so real to me, like I know them personally. This book made me anxious, nervous, and excited with all the action and new discoveries in the house. Can't wait for the next one.

**I received an ARC for an honest review**

Personal note 'A small girl not more than five feet tall', still taller than me!

The doll room is completely creepy, but in a good way, I got that tingle up my spine.
I think Terrell has definitely (unknowingly) become a surrogate son for Steven, Roy grudgingly loves Terrell too, though he'd never admit it.
Roy high on vicodin, is hilarious!
I'm intrigued about the rest of the nodes and what could be going on with them.
Love how Steven and Roy have come almost full circle, though I'm concerned that we're coming to the end of the series.
