I can't believe this piece of diamond is in Goodreads, and it makes me feel super nostalgic and super wanting to re-read this brilliant story yet again (bad news: it was taken down by the author for unknown reasons. now I crie). Friends, if you must know, the saddest story in the world is not Romeo and Juliet, The Fault in Our Stars, Me Before You, A Walk to Remember or any of the most acclaimed tragic novels out there. The saddest story is right here, and it's a fanfiction.
Never have I sobbed so hard for a character before, never have I ever became dysfunctional because of a fictional reality, never have I ever taught of reading a sadder piece of literature than those I have read and loved. When I'm asked for recommendations for tragic literature, I always find myself conflicted, because I want people to read this story but they won't understand what kaisoo is or who Sehun really is or if they really are based from real people and how it is structured to be enjoyed by tragic!kaisoo trash like me. You don't know how FAR Jongin and Kyungsoo is in the real world, how much we - a LEGION of fans - want them to happen and how I want Jongin and Krystal to break up so that Kyungsoo and Jongin will be a real thing.
All these frustrations added up by this beautifully written story just destroys my life.
Basically, and hypothetically, you don't really need to know what EXO is or who Jongin and Kyungsoo is. You just need to google them up to see their real appearance and you're all set (and oh, you must be emotionally prepared). This story is just a fucking jewel. Beautifully and lyrically written, ATMOSPHERIC, wonderfully structured, perfectly portrayed, and definitely geared up with heavy angst. It will have you sad and miserable and depressed with its three part torture.

I was kind of shocked to see AT in Goodreads. This is the story which deserves to be published in every language in the world. Some stories leave timeless vestiges in our hearts regardless of its genre, and this fanfiction is unquestionably one such thing. When I heard people say, "Books can change our lives", I had no idea what they mean. But after reading this book, I experienced it myself. Would you believe if I say I cried over the beauty of its writing as much I did for its tragic ending? It made me fall in love with literature. I don't know how someone can craft an art with this much perfection. This is a MUST-READ for all fanfiction readers.

One of the most beautiful pieces of writing, one of the most beautiful and heartrending and sad stories I've read in my life, if not the most beautiful. No words really do this story justice. Even though it's a fan-fiction (lol), it's honestly very much up there in terms of things with actual literary merit that I've read. The writing isn't 1000% perfect, but that's what makes me like it even more--I honestly cannot think of a better written story than this.
The sadness in this story is the most awful kind: the kind that doesn't punch you outright in the face so much as it creeps in on you, subtly settling in your bones, each part of your body until it weighs you down with awful realizations that just keep dragging you further and further down. I cannot highly recommend this to anyone enough.
Warning: read this only late at night at prime emo hours (1 a.m. - 4 a.m. depending on when you sleep) and be prepared for debilitating depression with a box of very very soft tissues lol

This is my second time reading this masterpiece. I don't really know what has gotten into me, reading an excruciating fic like this in the middle of the night.
Changdictator's writing perfectly captured the beauty and the tragedy of a love on borrowed time. As a reader, her story will be something I won't be able to forget.

A gem and a classic in the midst of fanfiction. A heartbreaking tearjerker filled with serious tragedy dressed up like mere angst. It literally has all the tropes written in a way using literal techniques that make you suffer and feel deeply. Empathize and imagine all the pain and emotions vividly as if they were your own. And before you realized it there is your own additional pain, created subconsciously while experiencing this rollercoaster of emotions. It‘s an alternative universe with a plot and characters so cruel and realistic that will make you think and feel for a long, long time afterwards. It‘s such a well-written story, very satisfying to read and especially re-read in my case.

I had never cried so much, for so long, for such a story. I knew it was sad when I started reading it, but I never imagined that I would suffer so much with the characters and how much anguish would it cause me.
It is a very good story, very original. Full of love, but also full of a sadness that will be difficult to get rid of. However, I would re-read it, even though I woke up with swollen eyes and cried for more than three hours.
I think this is a masterpiece, even though the writing is not perfect, even though is just a fanfiction --- i think it's amazing. This could be a really good book.

A story about two guys, one stuck in time and one, running out of it.
One who can't remember and one who doesn't want to be forgotten.
Its a story of questions like "can you love someone you don't have memories of?"
And answers like "time stops for someone who can't remember and runs from the one who can't miss the last train home."
Its a story of forgotten yesterdays,
Of recurrent todays,
And of longing tomorrows.
Honestly this is the best ff I have ever read. I think anyone who like to read (not just ffs) should read this once.

This is a fan fiction that will never disappoint you. For me this is the best fan fiction I've ever read and the the only fan fiction I would read over again. The author wrote it beautifully and It's full of emotion that will make you cry a river. I really recommend this to anyone. I totally love it!

damn my fav fanfic of all time is on goodreads?!?! we love to see it!!! the fact that this has never been published is a disgrace. i genuinely printed out this entire fic on paper when i was like 13 so i would also have a copy because i adore it that much. but really, if you want to read the most depressing story of all time that has made me cry every year i've read it since 2012 (on kaisoo day of course) you NEED to go to ao3 rn and read it!! i'm pretty sure my love for angst and death trope books basically comes from this fic though so be warned for some real depressing shit. also, if you don't cry reading this fic, i genuinely think you're heartless, i've never read a more hopeless and dismal ending to a romance

I am surprised to see this gem here on GoodReads! This might be my all-time favorite KaiSoo fanfic ever written. This fic holds a special place in my heart. I remember sobbing at night after reading this masterpiece because it hurt so much. I wish Jongin and Kyungsoo were given more time. :(
It was so well-written, it surpassed most novels I have read. The last time I sobbed this much after reading a book was when I finished Me Before You. After reading this fic though, I sat in front of my desk, crying like an idiot because it hurt too much. The plot was well-thought-of and it was greatly executed. The characters were wonderfully written too. Kudos to the author! Probably one of the best fics I have ever read.

I'm sHAKING never in my wildest fantasies have I imagined Anterograde Tomorrow will be on goodreads lmaoo I will say this though, according to mathematics it has been seven (7) full years since I read this fic and I can still quote it by heart in huge chunks. (tough stuff that Kyungsoo can't say that huh, haha tragedy humour) So imagine what imapct it has had on youngin me. Five stars for the stellar nostalgia and also frankly it was very well written so also for that.

No puedo creer que este por aquí esta maravilla de fic, he de decir que tengo años de haberlo leído, por lo que no recuerdo mucho, sin embargo los sentimientos que me dejó aún siguen presentes, llore como nunca y me lo leí como vaso de agua, puedo recordar como esta lectura no solo me llegó al ama si no que a toda una generación de EXO L les cambió la vida

I've read this masterpiece years ago, when it was still posted in LJ, and the times that i have constantly read and reread it through the years is probably unhealthy, but the paiN and love in this story is something that follows you, calls to you, something timeless. Honestly one of the best fanfiction I have ever read, and I probably recommended this to so many of my friends- you're welcome.

I can’t believe this masterpiece is on Goodreads 😭 I remember when I first read this during my kpop days while I impatiently waited a whole year for EXO to make a comeback after their first EP.
