*Can be read as a STANDALONE*

Rex Toberman is obnoxious and pretentious. So what if he’s the star quarterback? So what if my father is dating his mother? I can’t wait until he’s out of my life for good.

The day our parents announce their impending wedding becomes the worst day of my existence. Not only has Rex cemented himself in my social circle, but he’s about to cement himself into my family.

I don’t trust his mother. And I don’t want anything to do with her egotistical, womanizing son, but deep down the only way to get rid of them both is to do something unimaginable with Rex himself. I’m playing with fire, dancing in the flames of his wicked grin, and soon enough I’m melting. The last thing I want is to become another victim of Rex Toberman’s egotistical, womanizing ways.

But there’s something about those bedroom eyes, that lewd smile, that body made of steel I cannot resist.

Yes, getting rid of my soon-to-be stepbrother is tougher than I ever imagined—especially now that I never want him to leave.

To say that the beginning of the book confused me is an understatement until I realised that this is book 8 in the series and I need to read the other books to familiarize myself with the other characters. But as I continued reading, all the characters become a little easier to handle.

That being said, of the bat I hated Scarlett's character. She just came out as bitchy with mommy and daddy issues. I tried my hardest to understand the frustrations of her circumstances, and maybe reading the other books before might give a clearer picture, but the things she did and said was just immature.

Rex was an ok character just there for a ride. He was sweet and his maturity level being in the same circumstance as Scarlett was better.

As I said before, the story was too involving secondary characters from other books that made me feel like I started watching from the middle of a show with no prelude. It didn't take away from the development of the relationship between the two main characters, but it did make the book too long. The secret at the end was a letdown and I started skipping pages to see what happens next. The overall writing was good, but I would personally skip reading about the rest of the cast because their stories didn't really catch my attention.

Every time I hear that Addison Moore is doing another book for this series I get so excited and this is the series that made me fall in love with her work. As I read each story I get so lost into the world and actually picture everything that happens when I read it, if I could actually live in that world in real life then honestly I think my life would be complete. Honestly though I love reading about what happens next as I never have a clue how Addison manages to top each book that she writes.

When I was reading about Rex and Scarlett’s story I wasn’t sure how this would turn out, as being honest when it’s a stepbrother/sister romance then they always tend to be a bit risky however as always Addison managed to impress me. I loved Scarlet, I understand that she wanted her family back together as things seemed so right when they were all a family.. Don’t get me wrong I found that to be sweet of her but as I’ve never had my parents live together it’s kind of hard feeling that happy when your with your whole family. However I thoroughly enjoyed how the story developed, plus as I was reading through I had a feeling that both Rex and Scarlett were both perfect for each other. I seriously can’t find the words to describe how amazing this book was, but I suggest that you give this book a read.

Scarlett's dad is about to marry Lynette Toberman. She's been holding out hope that her parents would get back together. But her mom remarried and her dreams for a reconciliation died. It doesn't help that her soon to be step mom's son is Lex Toberman, the quarterback for Whitney Briggs' football team. He's a total player on and off the field and she can't stand him. For the last year, ever since their parents have been dating, she's been thrown in awkward social settings with him. Enough already!

Lex is pretty much just as he seems, life is good, women are great. Scarlett drives him crazy. He just can't figure this girl out. But she seems as opposed to their parents marrying as he is and they join forces to break them up. Of course working together for their common goal gives them plenty of opportunity to hang out, get to know each other maybe make time for some messing around? But there are secrets that surround the Toberman family and when Scarlett finds out what they are, how will she trust Lex when he hid so much from her?

I love this series, these characters all interact and their lives move forward but the reader still feels like they are part of cast. Keep giving us more, because I will keep reading!

I really enjoyed this book but then again I have enjoyed all the books in this series. They only disappointment in this book was how Scarlett and Rex end up being Stepsister and Stepbrother. Just weird to me. I know you can’t control how you feel about a person or who you end up with, but this was just weird. Everyone was against them and now I don’t think they are. Cute story though.

Wow! Scarlett and Rex are something else. I absolutely love their chemistry, they both wanted to deny it for obvious reasons. Once the first kiss happens they can't deny any longer. I just love these two.

I loved 3 a.m kisses and knew I would give this one a go. Glad I did because it was quite enjoyable. I loved the banter and all the crazy that came with Rex and Scarlett. I fell for Rex and Scarlett was perfect for him. Even the secondary characters were great.

Sweet

A future step brother should be forbidden territory, but what if you'd briefly met him a year ago and felt he was "the one", long before his mother and your father even knew each other?

That exact struggle is what Rex and Scarlett have felt for each other. They also would have like their own parents to be back together. They have a scheme to break their parents apart but will it separate them or allow them to finally be together.

Another great story in the long series but worth the read!!

A good story

I liked that so many of the weddings finally took place. The cheerleader was way over the top! Saying that step siblings can't be together is a bit over the top especially when they are of age and never lived together growing up. Parents may think the kids are siblings or "theirs" after the wedding however no one can expect adults to have that same mentality especially when they have only seen each other a handful of times. I liked how she cried through the weddings.

Scarlett and Rex meet, she think’s he is the one. Then their divorce.parents meet, now knowing that there will be no reconciliation of parents with their ex spouses. Though both parents have been divorced since they were young. Interesting seemed like they wanted to believe in fairytales. Made it awkward for them, he was the playboy at school. Drama of young love.

Awesome book

These stories just get better and better! Stepbrother stories are so hot! Scarlett was a fiery girl and full of sass she was a lot of fun to read about and Rex was pretty cool! I can't wait to read the next book!

Loved This was a really good book! Scarlett and Rex meet when their parents start dating. Scarlett devises a plan to break the parents up by pretending to date Rex. Things backfire and Scarlett and Rex have to try to fix things between their parents.

Once again a riveting book by this author, I could not put this book down. Once you read this book you will want to continue reading all the other that came before and after. Coo-dos to this author for keeping me engaged and wanting to continue to read all of her books.

So good.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel from the first page until the very last. It has been very rare that I have been able to read a book in one day, but I was captivated by these characters instantaneously.

I might have enjoyed this book more if I was 18 or 20 but at my age it's a bit too juvenile for me. The characters are too over the top and the banter is childish. It also doesn't help that I listened to it with virtual voice narration which absolutely sucks.

I absolutely love when there is a love hate relationship in the beginning. The fact that they were destined to become siblings just made everything more complicated and interesting.

I believe I have read others from this series and with that it mind I didn't like this much at all
the characters were okay some bits were just horrible the slut shaming of the cheerleaders and the main barrier to the couples happiness? idk but thing about the mums criminal record and mc calling their entire family con artists etc

It was surprisingly enjoyable but not as much as the others

This story was pretty shallow. Nothing to interesting. I came from a divorced family, so thought I might identify with the characters... but I didn't. This was mostly a sex book not a romance book. Not a fan.
