Drawing, my online clan, and planning my escape from my mother--these are priorities. Or, at least they were, until three huge alien males came to abduct me and take me to their planet. But it's not just a simple process of probing and then releasing me back to Earth. All those movies are lies. These three males keep me. And I'm suddenly a cadet at an Omega Academy where I'm supposed to learn how to serve the Gretar Fleet. None of this makes any sense to begin with, nevermind the three males I can't seem to avoid. But they say we have a connection, that we're a circle, whatever that means. And my body seems to agree, because anytime they're near, I can't seem to think of anything except Kyte's horns, Jeren's smirk, and Ceredes's long, hard ... sword. Focusing on class is almost impossible, and the Omega Academy isn't for the faint of heart. I have to learn who my enemies are, how to make friends, and how I fit with the three males I can't stop thinking about. All doable, right? No. Not right, especially when I discover the fleet has other plans for me. The bond with my three males may be the only thing that can keep me safe, but that means we need to consummate our circle. Yeah, you read that right, consummate. Deep. Breaths.

Lily's Note: Omega Academy is a full-length novel and the first book of the Omega Academy trilogy.

Rereading this because I forgot a portion of the story.

I started this book with the curiosity of YA Omegaverse. This is new to me and completely different except for the dynamics. Omegaverse reads are supposedly on the dark and smutty sides but this one is light comparatively. There is high school drama, petty bullying and adventure.

Lana is a human from earth with an uncaring mother, coming from the poor side. She is abducted by three alpha males - Ceredes, Jeren and Kyte, on a space ship. They tell her she is an Omega and have come to take her to Omega Academy, a school for the dynamics. The first phase of the story is of Lana adjusting in the school, coming to an alien world and attracted to her three Alphas along with other students who have their own individual abilities. Feeling put out she struggles among them without any abilities of her own. The second phase is the bonding with her three alphas. The three of them never interacted with each other but when it comes to Lana, they talk and protect her together. The third phase is the plot. The universe is under attact by the Sentients, this can be defeated by a Circle. A Circle is of combined powers; Lana has a major part in this.

There is nothing smutty here. Lana and the Alphas barely kiss. The story gets slightly boring but it picks up when the plot engages.

I never thought the words 'YA' and 'omegaverse' would be terms applicable to the same book, but Lily Archer is here to prove me wrong.

It's true that having YA omegaverse can be a little frustrating at times; I mean, we tend to read omegaverse because it's some of the smuttiest stuff out there, and yet this book barely had kissing. But I still really enjoyed it. Lana is a funny heroine, the guys are nice (if ever-so-slightly bland) and this book has something I've never seen before, which is character art of the heroes at the beginning. It also benefits from being well-written, though I got bored at regular intervals.

As an aside, why do authors keep putting their 18+ characters in academies???? Academies are secondary schools, not universities, which is what they seem to be treated as by a huge number of RH authors.

So yes, 3.5 stars. Check it out if the concept of YA sci-fi reverse-harem omegaverse sounds as intriguing to you as it did to me.

3.5 Stars

I read this in two days, which for me, is really saying something.

I just had a lot of fun reading it. I liked all three guys (Jeren being my favourite), and appreciated that there are only three men in this reverse harem because the moment it's anymore than three, all the guys either get mixed together and I can't tell them apart, or have the same personality.

Each of the guys were different, I didn't actually mind the MC, and it was just fun overall. No steam (just kissing in this book) but you can definitely tell that's going to change in book two.

Despite the genre saying YA on goodreads, this is NOT YA! This book is leading to very adult content, yes it's set in a school setting and she's 18 but there is more New Adult than anything.
Regardless, I'm going into the second right away because my romance mood isn't gone and I need my fix

DNF, left this at ch. 15 because it didn't live up to the reviews at all. It's a YA book with themes that don't belong anywhere near a YA book. It doesn't live up to the adult books of it's omega genre and it's a total let down. Basically, it's about a girl that is special and goes to a high school with high school drama...

Omega Academy by Lily Archer was everything I needed in a book right now. It was lighthearted, action packed, and included steamy, irresistible aliens. I wasn't able to direct my attention elsewhere until it was completely finished. I mean, who needs sleep anyways?

Not going to lie, the last few months in the reverse-harem genre has been grueling. It's all about the academy and bully RH romances. When will we get past this? Because it certainly feels like never. So, as you can imagine, I had a tough time getting myself to read this one just because the word "Academy" is included in the title. Talk about bor-ing.

Holy cow, I am so glad I forced myself to stop being so judgmental and gave it a shot. I loved everything about the characters. I adore the fact that the author skipped right over the bullying and made Kyte, Jeren, and Ceredes actually likable! This allowed the petty drama to not get overwhelming and gave us a chance to focus more on the world building and other aspects of the book. All I can say is that I'm hooked and need book 2 ASAP!

If you adore hot guys, funny and flawed female characters, and crazy adventures you won't regret giving this book a try!

Someone must have listened when I asked for a “space academy”

Hazah!!

And it’s omegaverse with a RH mate bond

Even better!

It’s a tame Omegaverse and although endorsed by Addison Cain it’s nothing to her dark Omega style.
The three Alien Alphas are more protective than rapey and the heat is taken care of by suppressants

The MC is likeable and the Academy has combat and flight training ... what more could I ask for!

The sequel wasn’t as exciting but if you like Sci-Fi and Academy tropes then it’s a no brainier

Giving the overall series a 2-star rating. It would be a lot higher if it wasn't for all the trickled-in rape that had zero to do with character development or the storyline itself. Plus I don't like that the end of the series just ended without any finality to the villain.

When it comes to rape as a way to add shock value, I always feel like this is lazy writing. Throughout the series, there was either talk about rape or actual rape taking place. HOWEVER, I do feel that this was needed when it comes to Lana's mother and father and how she was conceived. This was clearly something that ties into the storyline. But all the threats that all these other Alphas are going to have her whether she wants it or not (even though she already has her own Alphas) or that Jeren's rape past comes into play halfway through Book 3 even though we've already heard his past in Books 1 and 2 and none of them mentioned this...just seems lazy and it's only purpose is to add shock value to the overall story.

I have a serious issue with the amount of rape that's thrown into books/movies/entertainment these days and how this is training us to normalize it.

Floved It

That was Fuc@ing Amazing! From beginning to end it was non-stop action and adventure. I am surprised to say the least. I didn't believe a YA book would hold my interest, but one of my Fav authors recommend it, so I gave it a whirl. I'm so glad I did! I love Omegaverse stories and this one fit in wonderfully. It ended in a cliffhanger, but don't let that discourage you in the slightest. Thank you Ms Archer, for a great read. Just don't keep us waiting to long for the next book in the series.

4-4.5 stars. YES! This was a phenomenal start to the series and whole unique spin on what seems to be the tale end of the KU Academy craze. Honestly though our setting is for the most part an academy I feel like that portion of the story is for the most part just a backdrop to what is really going on here. Little did I know when I picked this book up that I was going on a scifi adventure. The science fiction aspects of this story really blew me away not only in how well it was thought out and written but in how I never lost the picturing of the scenes and had absolutely no problem remaining fully invested for the entire story. I feel like the depth of the world building and creativity exhibited here was pleasantly surprising.

Lana, our FMC, is dropped head first in a mess when she is abducted from earth because she just happens to be an OMEGA and all Omega's are recruited to the Omega Academy so that they may learn and choose a mate from all the Alphas of the known universes. Lana just happened to have thought she was human so the shock of differeing planets and races of aliens really puts a damper on her space travel.. that and the fact that she is an alien herself and going through the first stages of her "needing" lucky for her... or not so lucky in this case the 3 handsome alpha males that have hitchhiked a ride on her transport ship are there and an Alpha can't refuse an Omega female in need. Quick thinking gets her safe to the Academy but not before a bond is made.. and it seems that there is much more going on in Lana's case than just a new arrival of an Omega. She is being fast tracked through the Academy program and no one knows why, and now the General is after her as a mate but its too late she already has a connection with her 3 guys.. to bad fate has even more in store for Lana as the universe is under attack from an Android race that hasn't been defeated since the last circle or harem combined their powers. It looks like Lana is scheduled for yet another trip..

I was absorbed from the very first and at the very end I went to find book 2 only to be heartbroken when I realized its nowhere near ready to come out now. If you are like me and like that instant gratifications of running train through an entire series all at once you may need to hold off on this but definitely keep an eye on it. This ends in one heck of a cliffhanger and caused me no end of anxiety when I realized I couldn't continue on. Really great start though I think. There was some insta connection but I felt like it progressed in a way that genuine feelings made sense with the amount of time they all spent together. Imma need book 2 like.. yesterday. I can't wait to see where this goes!

It was a change from the usual academy. I liked all three guys and the mc although she was weak and mouthy. I struggled with the plot. The mc is abducted and forced to enter the fleet academy. Pinky was one of the worst. I didn’t mind the omegaverse thing but I didn’t like the restrictions that came with it. There is flirting and romance but no sex. I liked the flying but the ending felt like a free for all. Not sure if I wanna read the next one.

A pretty quick and fun read. Surprisingly clean given the age demographic. There is reference to heats, knot etc but not much happens on page. I kind of liked that.

The plot was a high school movie set in space - there is mean girls, the hot hero guys, our spunky not like other heroine. Here of course she is literally not like others- being a human amongst aliens - so that worked for me.

Mostly I couldn’t rate this higher as not much happens in the book. Minimal development in character or macro plot. The main three heroes felt like DND classes more than fleshed our characters - but I kind of low key loved that.

There is a fun fanfic sense about the writing which I was really enjoying - until a big mega plot point was introduced from nowhere. It wasn’t a twist per se bit got so little focus in all the day to day teen drama that it felt off

The ending was too abrupt - like the book had been truncated. As it is there is not read ending or arc here. This is part one of a longer book. Which is a shame as it annoyed me.

I may up the rating if the next (elongated) chapter / book works.

Genre blending goodness

High School drama? ✔️
Omegaverse? ✔️
Sci-fi? ✔️
RH? ✔️
Romance? ✔️

I'm ready for book two, Lily Archer. Let's see how many more genres you can mash up. Somehow you made it work beautifully and I'm eager for more lol.

Plus the guys are all really sweet. Kinda unexpected for "alphas".

It's so good...

It's an Omegaverse-Star Trek-Academy RH story, and it is so good. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is it needs another grammar check... and unfortunately I felt the world building needed more to it.

⭐️Entire series review ⭐️

Lana - FMC
💕Her Harem💕
Ceredes
Kyte
Jerens

What an awesome, cool and totally enjoyable twist on Omegaverse.
It’s a cross between an Academy-star wars- terminator- omega- alpha goodness 🥰
It doesn’t sound like it would mesh well but on boy does it! So good 🥰

💫This was a page turner from beginning to end not one scene was wasted on filler or endless dribble 🥳. I was so engrossed and entertained that I hated adulting. From the very beginning you feel like you staring an epic adventure. The world building is really good. The characters are developed really good and have lots of depth. All the men got equal time with Lana.

🌟The Omegaverse is done differently and since I don’t read Omegaverse cause it not my thing. I love when I find gems like this that have a new take on it. No OW, no MM, no cheating, No degrading in the harem, no abuse. But we get the good stuff like the mating, scents, slick, Knots, and amazing Alphas.

✨Lana is on earth with no knowledge of aliens, Omegas or Alphas. She lining a normal life at 18yrs old she is school but has a horrible home life. One day as she is being attacked by a bully she is rescued by 3 hit alien alphas and they kidnapped her to take her to Omega Academy on a different planet. And that’s where her epic adventure of love and discovery begins.

❤️‍🔥The harem is super amazing ❤️ they all have reasons for not wanting to mate with and Omega and especially not a circle ⭕️ bond. But they each realize it pretty quick that she’s their mate and they immediately make the decision to change their paths and mate and protect the woman who they are falling for.

💕It’s not insta-love but it’s Insta-connection that turns into love over the time of them getting to know each other. But the story is fast moving so it might seem to happens fast.

❤️They are the first circle-mates in 300yrs and usually come in times of great need. As a circle they are very powerful.

💕I love love love that we know these guys have had sex but it’s not a focus point and there is no OW sex or Cheating ⭐️🥳💗.

✨There are lots of secrets and twist plots in the story. Tons of adventures and a galactic war against Cyborg aliens trying to enslave the universe.

💫I don’t want to spoil anything cause it’s one of those reads that keeps you on your toes. BUT……..

⚠️Book 3 mild Spollers⚠️

😢40% before they reunited which I kinda hate when the group is separated. I didn’t enjoy that part.

😅The final battle was very much a redo of Luke and Darth Vadar I didn’t mid but it was kinda predictable.

So one ⭐️ reduced for the series cause of the Ending…..

✨The ending was rushed… why so rushed?
✨There was no after the war scenes!!??
There needed to be a bit of follow up after the war and how things settled or even how the Academy was in the after effects. Who lived who died…🤷🏼‍♀️😤I mean we get NOTHING!
✨We also have no idea where they lived in the Epilogue what roles they played on the universe. Nothing. That dropped a solid star for not having a good ending. All we got was a sex scene.
Where’s the follow up the WHOLE universe was upended. Highly dissatisfied.

But overall still a great read I Really enjoyed it. I would read more from the author and recommend this read regardless of the ending. At least we know they have a HEA and are together and in love💕

the first 2 chapters were tough but then got good

I had read the sample a while ago and decided to pass. I was in a book slump and decided to revisit this book, but I jumped in after chapter 2. And I glad I did. This book turned out good. I definitely have a few tweaks that I would have changed in the story to make it great ( missed opportunity) 🤷🏻‍♀️ oh well can’t win them all lol. FYI, there is a consistent error on Garvon’s name (a cadet? I prob missed spelled ) throughout the book it keeps replacing the G with a T, happens at least 5 times. On to book 2!

Not really Omegaverse

If you're an Omegaverse reader: be prepared for this to be an EXTREMELY watered down version of the ABO dynamics you're used to. I'm not sure if it's explained in the other books of this series, but there doesn't seem to be much distinction between ABOs in this world. Alphas are bigger and stronger (and have a knot) and Omegas produce slick and go into a "needing" (aka heat) on occasion. But the Omegas are all trained in combat much like the alphas and one of the best fighters and the fight instructor is a female Beta. On the surface there doesn't seem to be much of a separation.

I think I would refer to this as an academy story that takes place on another world with ABO elements rather than an actual Omegaverse. It's also very much YA at this point. So if you're looking for standard ABO dynamics plus standard ABO spice you may be disappointed.

If you're not here for the Omegaverse and want a good, easy academy read with sci fi then you'll like this.

Serious 18 - early 20-year-old vibes. Omegas in space. Reverse harem, no mating in this book, maybe later in series. Some of the plot ideas are slightly unbelievable, but I think if I had read this as an 18-20yr old, I would have probably been able to overlook some creative leaps in human behaviour that happen. I would've most likely gotten lost in the adventure and romance of youth saving the universe and trying to get around the old oppressive establishment. Definitely a youthful tone to the ideas and character voices.

Great cliffhanger to keep me coming back. Interesting story if you enjoy YA/NA style novels.

3.5-3.75⭐️-ish - review will be overarching on the last book of the series or the last book I finish with, depending on my thoughts regarding the series.

Side note: I didn’t finish the last 3-ish chapters because I knew the predictability of how they’d end up given there’s more than 2 books in this series, hence the rating. There’s no need to add filler chapters because the suspense was given 3 chapters ago. And redundant inner dialogue isn’t my jam. Fingers crossed I don’t eat my words.

I'm on an OV binge rn and this book is really good. I loved Lana, she's fun, smart, adapts quickly and brave. I love the MCs too, they are yummy. I can wait to see what happens on the next book. Also, I hope Lana gets some badass powers and kicks Ilwen's ass to oblivion because she's annoying as hell.

Ooh, la, LA.

Hellooooo exciting book.

*silently pleading to the gods that book 2 doesn’t tank*

SO I REALLY LIKED THIS.

But I’ll admit I was worried at first.
The last time an author sketched pictures of the males in the harem, the book was awful. So I was having mild doubt and PTSD flashbacks of terrible books.

But low and behold.

This was good. Yes, very good.

Lana gets taken from Earth and dropped into an unknown planet because she’s an Omega and as all Reverse Harem books lead, she’s also special. But we knew that of course, we can’t just have vanilla books with vanilla characters.
No, no.
We need the whole spectacle.
Kyle with a T, Jeren, and (oh I love this name), Ceredes are her Alpha mates.
Together they form a cute little circle.

Lana handles everything decently well, and the transition in time is just a little rushed.
I know time flows differently here, but I had a hard time figuring that part out. Either way, a SEMESTER happens in in odd flashes. The group falls in love, typical.

Alas, but there’s a SECRETTTTT.
And just WHAT or WHO is Lana, really? She doesn’t know it but the high chamber people do. Sneaky, sneaky.

SO.
Master Daviti, the drunk pilot (lol, way to play at stereotypes), is my fave character.
I’m seriously questioning Onin’s motives with that second blood vile I mean HASN’T ANYONE IN THE FANTASY WORLD REALIZED HOW IMPORTANT IT IS to keep your own blood to yourself?!
And what’s the secret? Why is Lana so special?

Find out next in book two, I shall.
