She's my last chance.

Those four words echo in Violet Spencer’s mind, tugging at her curiosity even as rage builds within her.

Arbon Academy was supposed to be a bright new start. An opportunity for greatness, and something an orphan girl could only dream of. For a while there, it seemed to be exactly that.

But Violet's bright future is suddenly looking dim. Arbon Ac

where the f*ck did Jordan come from?

Rafe is clearly endgame and i'm triggered that she and him aren't totally a thing right now.

Jordan, go away.

also, i love Mattie and Nolan with all my heart, and if Mattie isn't ok then someone is going to die. those twins are the main reason i love this series. protect those babies!

Much much better than book one. This one held my interest way more. I barely skimmed - I read fast though. I've now gone from liking Rafe to loving him. I LOVE his alphaness, dominance, his power and command. I love it. I want more of it. And as much as I like Jordan, he can't compare to Rafe. There's just something special about Rafe. Kinda reminds me of Braxton who you all know I love. As for Violet, I liked her more in this book than the first one. I connected a b

That was a wild ride from start to finish. Don't let my 3 star rating scare you (it's probably closer to 3.5 anyways), I had a good time reading this.

This book picks up right where the last one ended and it doesn't stop moving until the very last page. New plot points and conflicts were being thrown in from every direction and it made for a wild, fun read. Even with the non-stop drama, this book never felt like it was lost. I always had a sense we were going somewhere and I did enjoy a lot of t
Well dang, that went out with a bang and crash. Literally and figuratively! Damn, I really wanted more! This is the way to keep people hooked and needing all the answers.

Before I get into this review too much…if this review is a little off kilter, it’s coz I’ve been crazy unwell. I kinda feel like I’m letting my girl down a bit here, but health is whopping my butt 😭. I’ve barely managed a couple minutes being out of bed (and I mean minutes – 5 has been the max so far). Just wanted to explain pri

The first book isn't exactly a masterpiece, but this book was a real disappointment. The lack of plot advancement and world-building momentum from the first book was killed in the first half of the book. Instead, the first half of the book was stale, nothing interesting plot-wise, lacked plot advancement and was filled with sex scenes that added no value in replacement . You could've easily taken ALOT of scenes out from the first half, and added the second part of the book onto the first and ...more

Aside from the mild RH elements, this series is not normally something I read and certainly not something I enjoy. But I am so sucked in and invested, the world could light on fire around me and I'd keep reading because life cannot go on if I don't see how everything ends. The one thing again I'll be honest I didn't like was how much I really had to let the setting go again. It's still not explained enough and I'm just letting it be this abstract thing outside the realm of my reading so it doesn ...more

Let me start by saying I loved the first book. The writing, character building, and story were great. This book takes a huge turn by adding an additional love interest and lacks character development. Many questions raised in the first book were left unanswered. The h becomes flat and what I loved about her in the first book is missing completely in book two. The minor characters are great in this installment. Love Mattie.

Okayyyyyy, I enjoyed this book, but had a few issues with it.

The two stars are just for the hot romances.

Update: (view spoiler)

Book 2: after the massive bombshell dropped, I felt like this book would give me more. Nothing major happened and it feels like a weak bridge between two books, not

Here’s the thing. I hate it, absolutely HATE IT when a character strings along someone- or even someones. It really just tears something up inside me,,
And besides that, this book a way anticlimactic. Sure there was the minute development I wanted was EXACTLY what I wanted.

Well, well, well. Slightly better than Princess Ballot , especially towards the end.
I still have issues with the story, such as the world-building (which is nonexistent) and the internalized sexism, but I have to say it was a little better than the first installment.

I wasn't expecting the whole Jordan romance storyline, but I'm pleasantly surprised. When I was reading Princess Ballot the thought crossed my mind several times, if only because I couldn't stand Alex and Rafe, and the few interac

When the first book came out I struggled describing to my friends what makes this series so awesome and addictive. But after reading the second book I know it. This is the better version of the Selection. All those times the Selection came close to a little more political background and intrige and a little more depth it rushed away from it. And that Game of Thrones ending that came out of nowhere in the Selection is happening much earlier here and is much better built up.

I am absolutely enthralled by this futuristic world of royals and intrigue. There's so many levels to an incredible conspiracy and my mind is flooded with theories! I had to genuinely force myself to take breaks reading this so I could enjoy it longer, and still read it over one day. It's so difficult to put this book down!

I loved the new levels were got to see of our lead characters. Though Violet made, in my opinion, a few dumb choices at the beginning and towards the end, she's an amazing cha
Let me just start this off by saying that I will absolutely be reading the final book when it is released. I absolutely LOVED the 1st book. I was hooked and obsessed over the Playboy Princes release.

I feel like 2nd books in trilogies are probably the hardest to write. It’s a bridge book between the build up and conclusion and I’ve found myself not loving 2nd books as much. This one falls in that category. Don’t get me wrong - I was still into the book and finished it quickly because I wanted to

Violet, a one in 15 million lottery winner, is attending the elite Arbon Academy with the world’s most exclusive and powerful royals. It’s her chance at a new life and a new beginning, but just as she’s getting comfortable, she sees the royals for who they really are.

The Princess Ballot is all a ruse meant to strengthen royal DNA with commoner. As fewer royal babies are born each year, the Ballot ensnares girls like Violet to be matched with heirs. Girls become princesses and queens, impregnated

A page turner

Although this series isn't my usual trope or genre, I just can't seem to look away. These two authors create magic together. Would probably be happy reading a shopping list from them.
From cover to cover you will be ensnared by this book.

This writing duo KILLED IT.

Oh big disappointment. I'm pissed of as all hell. Rant coming. Violet was such a huge disappointment. She was supposed to be this strong female character and what I saw was a back and forth seesaw of I'm do scared and pushed to do this to kill everyone behavior. Then the pathetic love triangle!!! Cue the eye roll. Really? She was letting one pepperoni in one second and then turning the corner to hop on the other sausage. It is impossible to constantly keep that level of horniness up! Playboy Princes by Jaymin Eve & Tate James a five-star read worth dropping everything for. This is number two in the Royals of Arbon Academy series and I demand to know when number three will arrive as I need it now!! Be warned this is an emotional rollercoaster of a read, so much more than the first and I imagine if they continue in the same vein not as much as the third, its like they are building and growing on each story in a way that just makes it such a powerful read. We get to meet more b ...more
