It’s possible that K.F. Breene is my new favorite author.
She just writes these AMAZING and vivid stories!
Strong STRONG female heroines. This one is no exception.

This is a continuation of the Born In Fire/Natural Witch series with Reagan & Penny (but they don’t show up until the very end).

Thank goodness the second book of this trilogy comes out Oct 15.

In this book, you get a lot more were/shifter perspective and you see vampires as the villains. Especially Vlad.

Completely recommended!!
3.5 Stars

— Well, this was unusual...? The hero Devon gets aroused by another female and the heroine Charity doesn't even mind.
I'm not someone who's bothered by something like this, they're not together yet so I'm okay with it but I can't deny that it was hella weird.

— I appreciated that Charity wasn't one of those TDTL girls. She had good instincts and listened well, though I hated that she saw everything as a challenge and flew off the handle quite often, which in turn made her seem stupid agai

Warrior Fae Trapped: Book #1 (DDVN World #7)

So we're back in the 'world' of Reagan & Penny but this time we're with the Shifters 🐺😍 Sub Alpha Devon, runs a small pack in Santa Cruz. He's young to hold the position he does but he's earned it & doesn't ever want their overall Alpha, Roger, to regret his decision or to break the trust he put in him by promoting him so young!!

Charity has led a life of extreme poverty but she's always had her brains & str

Mind the best way I can describe my feelings after reading this book.

Before I dive in with my thought *Reader Warning* there are no hot sex scenes to be found in this read; there are some scenes but not the kind where you need a sweat towel and a glass of water close by; that being said the story/writing made it all up to me!

Such a compelling storyline. Each character was clearly crafted by loving hands and detailed to perfection. World build blew my socks off. To say I was complete

Why Breene, why?
Why write such a clichéd effed up story with the usual boring YA heros, heroines and vamps?
How could a writer who created characters like Reagan and Darius so badly eff up Vlad?

I just cant...

This is a clustrfck of a book.

We have Roger and Vlad, two interesting characters from Breene's previous DDVN world.
In her previous series, Breene had portrayed the strength of Roger and cunning of Vlad - in this book Roger has become an IT project manager who listens to reports and delega

Warrior Fae Trapped: Book #1 (DDVN World #7) by K.F. Breene is absolutely brilliantly magical. KF has rocked the house once again. Her stories know no bounds and her creative mind is like a playground where you want to go hang out. I love that she is true to herself when writing her stories and nothing is off the table. It shows with every word written. KF is a true master at weaving her weirdness and translating it into a world that is utterly enthralling and the characters are crazy and wild, ...more

3.5 stars rounded up because I enjoyed it so much.
The audiobook reader, Nicole Poole is great.
I was a little nonplussed to find I was reading the 7th book in a series and not the 1st, but it didn't wreck the story for me.

Charity is the quintessential orphan with the sad sack story who has pulled herself up by her own bootstraps. At least, that's what she believes until Vampires enter the mix... followed by other supernatural crit

Holy cow this book was awesome!

Warrior Fae Trapped is the seventh book in the DDVN series. If you haven't read the others you should. This installment introduces some new characters and also brings in some from the previous books.

Charity is a dirt poor college student just trying to get through school to give herself a better chance at life. Her father was abusive and her mother left when she was 16. Charity wants more than what her mother had.

Charity is dumped into the world of magic and the s

Action Packed and Funny!

I always really enjoy K.F. Breene's books and this was no exception! Demon Days, Vampire Nights looks to be shaping up into a great series. And it fixed my book hangover! Yay!

Beginning: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Starts off introducing the heroine, Charity. A street-smart girl from Chicago making her own way in Santa Cruz on a full ride scholarship. She goes to an exclusive party in the hills with her roommate that turns out to be much more than just a social affair. An event that will introdu

This was absolutely amazing! I love the worlds Ms Breene creates. It’s like slipping into your all time favourite shirt, like when a character from a previous book pops up, it’s like “hello, old friend”.
I read this in a day, just couldn’t put it all! I totally recommend this book, and would of given it a load more stars if it was possible, well done Missus, you gone did it again.
Keep up the amazing work.

Wow. Just wow.

Warrior Fae Trapped is a continuation of the Demon Days, Vampire Nights universe. Well rounded new characters with a glimpse of some of my favourites. Excellent action and beautifully written. I am already invested in Charity and Devon. I am ready for the next book now.

What a pleasure to get to immerse myself back in the DDVN world! Charity is a smart, brave, reckless, and wonderful heroine. As she emerges in the supernatural world with a bang, she meets Devon and his pack of Santa Cruz shifters. Coming from hard and traumatic backgrounds, it takes Charity and Devon a bit of stubborn back and forth to realize how important they are to each other, the pack, and the world at large, but with crisis after crisis coming down upon them, especially in the form of Vla ...more
Charity, the main girl, acts like child. Devon, alpha of the wolf shifter pack doesn't know what he wants. Charity constantly challenges Devon because she's "warrior fae". The whole book was just very childish. It was mainly vampires trying to get their hands on Charity, Vlad in particular, because she's Arcana or possibly fae princess, has untried magic powers, oh and she smells amazing! As a result, the shifter pack tries to save/protect Charity.

Not continuing this series.

Fan screaming!! Loved it!

So in the DDVN series Reagan has been my favorite until now. Now they're (Charity and Reagan) are both favorites. I love and feel compassion for her extremely humble start. I grew up poor, but not that poor. I cannot wait to continue the series.

So disappointed

Well, Couldn't even finish reading this and that is something I am generally loath to do. I just do not care at all for vulgarity in language or explicit behaviors. Cheap tricks do not enliven a tale, they demean it. Could have been a good story.

Another utterly enthralling read from K.F. Breene as we get to go back to the DDVN world, I just don't know how she manages to up the ante everytime and produces these stories that leave you enraptured and immersed in their world, so much so that I did not want to leave and found myself really quite resentful that I had to put my kindle down!! Book 2 can't come quick enough for me!!!

In this story we are spending time with one of Roger's wolf shifter packs headed up by a young up and coming sub a

3.5 stars.. I can't tell you how happy I am to be back in this world. I've been missing my girl Reagan like you wouldn't believe!! This was a pretty good start to the series. It almost had a little "bully romance" type vibe, not quite full blown maybe a more Hate to Love type thing happening. If you aren't already familiar with the world from the 2 previous series you may want to start there, however other than knowing some of the other players in the game here and their backstories etc, I didn' ...more

Have you ever found an author[s] whose books don’t just transport you away for an afternoon but have that magical ability to take your cares away? Like, you might be having a cruddy day, someone yelled at you at work, it’s raining for the umpteenth day in a row and you just want to escape it all? Lo’ and behold [for me] K.F. Breene happens to be my favorite “cheer me up” author.

Her witty quips and self-deprecating character humor bring a depth to the story that a lot of authors struggle to bring

This has a real YA/NA vibe to it that was odd, given that the rest of the DDVN series really doesn't.

The hero, Devon, was an alpha-hole who funneled all emotions through rage. He was constantly yelling at or belittling the heroine, Charity.

And she was overly young and naive, swinging rapidly between fury at how he'd treat her to feeling bad for losing her temper. And the two of them mostly interacted by screaming at or punching each other a lot.

And then somehow in the end, they were declaring th

Charity is a poor kid who has successfully made it to college through hard work and dedication. Unfortunately, things turn upside down when a party’s events unfold. The story is entertaining and interesting. The characters are believable and relatable. The biting and witty sarcasm is quite entertaining! The slow attraction simmer between Charity and Devon is appealing. I was really glad that Vlad, in all of his bastardized glory, made a bigger appearance in this book. At times it seemed like this was written in another language and translated into English. I read it and listened on audible while driving. The reader sounded like a robot. It was awful.
This had all the fabulously wonderful elements that have made K.F. Breene one of my favourite authors: witty dialogue, humour, plenty of action, a strong heroine, romance and a good dash of the paranormal. While my favourite in the DDVNs novels will always and forever be Reagan who introduced me to the hysterical ride that is Breene, I'm going to go as far to say that this is a pretty close second. Yep, this is a big call, but I'm making it, so there. While I liked Penny and the Natural Witch se ...more

This barely made it to four stars. The story is good. I like the concept and set up. It’s an old plot of an unknowing woman discovering she’s got more under the hood and that magical being actually do exist. But what started bringing down my star ratings lay in the immaturity that Charity constantly displays. They’re college twenty somethings and it feels kind of highschool-ish maturity. After awhile, it gets really annoying. Then there’s the constant crying or on the verge of crying drama. I ca ...more

I liked this, but uts probably my least favourite of the K. F Breene series I have read.

I can always reply on the author to do the things I like in a book, and she writes excellent, believable relationship developments, but Charity and Devon didn't quite do it for me like Penny and Darius or the couple in her Sin series, who I loved, but names I have forgotten.

I think this was because they were both uite young characters. In their early twenties, and still in college, their narrative voices were

Warrior Fae Trapped kicks off the third trilogy in the DDVN world! I thought I wouldn't like Penny's trilogy because she wasn't Reagan. I did. I thought I wouldn't like Charity's trilogy because she is neither Reagan nor Penny. I did. Oh, how I did! This trilogy rivals Reagan's in a complete Holy _ _ _ _ way! I enjoyed this book enough to want to read book 2 when it comes out next month & put it in my queue to watch for it when it releases. The flow was good, & it held my attention enough that I was trying to sneak some reading in at work to see what happens next! There were a few wobbles in the plot, and few typos that caused hiccups reading. Charity was an interesting main character, I liked her for the most part, but some of the things she did just didn't make sense to me. Devon was a love him-but ...more
