The author closed this family's story nicely. O'Sharra did a good job of showing the parallels between generations when it comes to the lessons we pass down. The story was emotional, dramatic with a few unbelievable moments that did not quite gel for me. There were a few grammatical and spelling errors, but nothing so distracting that it took me out of the moment. All in all good movement, flow, and a powerful message.

Great Read

Wayne hatred towards Mason had him stuck in a Mental facility. They thought he was crazy for killing Mason and acting cannibalistic but Wayne was far from crazy. He just avenged his mother's death. Terri was just like her mother Jeanette. Trying to love a man who didn't love her, respect their marriage, and couldn't be faithful. Daryl was a piece of trash. He had no qualms about throwing up his cheating in Terri face. Even with her deciding to divorce Daryl. Terri was still blaming the women for him cheating instead of blaming him. However I do understand her anger towards Premier. Premier was her Sorority sister and was supposed to be her friend. Premier was scandalous and trifling for sleeping with Daryl no matter how she explained it. I knew she was going to end up liking Wayne. She put her freedom, job and lively hood in jeopardy helping Wayne out. Bonnie was dealing with sexual in the Air Force. She knew trying to tell on Colonel Richards would've been a waste of time because he was well respected. Befriending Harmony didn't turn out like she thought it was. Harmony knew why Bonnie sought her out. I will never understand why Harmony chose to stay in the office with Colonel Richards after his death. I'm surprised Bonnie listened to the police about Marlow. After attending Harmony funeral. Bonnie should've went home and not agreed to be an informant for the police to catch Marlow hands dirty. If she had of left when she should had. Milo creepy ass wouldn't have been able to take advantage of her. Ms. Arlene was a gem to Wayne, Terri, and Bonnie. She raised them as her own children after their father Mason beat their mother Jeanette to death in front of them. Ms. Arlene knew Wayne and Terri was going to be affected more by being the two oldest after witnessing the abuse but she loved them regardless of the damage they held within their heart and mind.

Heartfelt read

Generational curses are REAL..What you teach your child growing up, will be the way they live their life.. This was a 2 book series, so Im summing it all up together.. Maddie treated Netta(her daughter) like she was a enemy in the streets, feeling unloved Netta made a bad decision and moved in with a man(Her moms boyfriend) because that’s the only person who showed her he cared about her(at least that’s what she thought) Once he got her where he wanted her his true colors surfaced and he treated her less than human.. Her son Wayne and 2 daughters witnessed it all, She tried so hard to find love that just wasn’t there, ruining her and her kids life searching for something that she never got at home from her mom(LOVE) Thank God she found a friend in Arlene. This book will definitely have you in tears.

How could she rush the book

Omg I am truly upset! The ending was so rushed.
Spoiler alert
But how is milo the father and she had sex with marlow multiple times! It didn’t always state they used a condom! Then she could of definitely did a part 3! Could of expanded on marlow and his criminally ways! Hell marlow could run into HIS daughter at the mall and she could be say she ain’t tell him because milo raped her. Come on writer to another! Give us a 3 cause this series although it was filled with drama had potential.

Break the chain

I am glad that the Bell family broke the generational curses that was bestowed in their family starting with their great grandmother. I love the love Ms.Arlene had for kids she didn’t birth but loved as her own and for that they were her soul family despite no blood. I love Wayne and Terri got another chance. I am sadden that Bell ended up pregnant from rape and cannot be with the love of her life. This book series was awesome when discussing generational curses and to break them no matter what.

Confusing

This book was all over the place. The mother's backstory should have been placed in the beginning of the first book. An explanation of what happened to the phone that was mailed, the sex trafficking case should've been explained. It's like that entire section was forgotten. When did Terri marry again? It could've been a great story but it left too many necessary details out.

Great job!

Terri didn't want to be like her mother, but she was her mother all over again. Bonnie went through so much I am glad she stood strong through everything and came out following her dreams. Wayne came out on top and turned his life around with his second chance on life. Great finale! Finally the generational curse was broken, but the hard facts of life was dealt and they pulled through amazingly.

No one knows

I would of killed Mason way before he had a chance to get at me he was a low down dirty dog and killing nett was horrible but what Wayne did to him made me see a lot of things that happened to people can damage them for life it seems all them may be on the road to recovery I enjoyed this book there's enough unsaid that could of been a part 3

Great book

I did not want it to end. Great story and very realistic. I did not like how it end. I need to know if Marlow went down for any crimes? Was he really into illegal stuff? Did he find out that his brother rape his girl? I hope it is a 3rd book. Can’t leave it hanging like this.

I'm glad that all the Bell children got their lives together! I was so sad about their mother. She just didn't know how trying to live a man more that yourself affects not only you but those around you as well! They were blessed to have Mama Arlene in their lives! Great story even better message!

It shouldn't be the end though! OK I hate Marlow got killed. As for Milo, I most definitely would like to see him come back and cause more problems. I just love drama when I read that is! I can most definitely see a spin off happening!! I hate mama Arlene died. Now that hurt. I enjoyed this book. This author go hear from me again.

Interesting spin off

I’m glad that Wayne got a second chance. But I have so many questions. Terri and Bobbi story was left incomplete. What happened to Marlow, Tiny and Milo? I would have lived apart 3 but anyway. I enjoyed reading this series.

I went through too many emotions

What a turn of events .. Terri has every right to be mad at Premier and she should’ve also been angry with Darryl. I’m glad she was able to heal. Wayne deserved happiness... Bonnie. She needs her own story.

This series was so good. Wish that this one could have been more longer because I wanted to hear about the hardships or path that took place to breaking hereditary curses. Will be reading more from author.

I love this book

Mama Arlene did a great job of rising the kids. I wish that they had met their cousins. Although they struggled to fine their place in the world. Life made a positive out of all the abuse that each of them endured.

Must Read

I couldn’t put it down. Speaks volumes about generational courses, insecurities, and fears. Not everyone is dealt the best hand, but how you play it matters the most. The author did an amazing job connecting the dots.

It was ok

I gave this three stars only because it seemed to be rushed. It started out great, then it was rushed on everything. A lot of errors but still a great read from the first book
