Jane Ware has spent eight years driving around Ohio collecting good buildings for the two-volume Building Ohio, the state's first ever architectural guide. A regional writer since moving to Ohio is 1980, Ware was a history major, a Columbus Museum of Art docent, and a lifelong architectural hobbyist.

Jane received the 2002 Ohio Historic Preservation Award for Public Education and Awareness for BUIL
