Fantastic read
I started to read this book because I didn't have anything else in my library. But let me tell you, the best decision ever. It helped me from the start and through smiles, and tears I found myself reading at 4am as I couldn't put the book down. Both thumbs up.

Eric Sibley has it all; a great job, a big house and a beautiful wife and daughter. When his estranged father passes away, Eric is aghast to learn that instead of the house, paintings and his mother’s jewellery, his father has bequeathed him an overgrown allotment and his prized 1962 limited edition Aston Martin, affectionately known as Sally, on the condition that Eric maintains the allotment on a weekly basis for the next two years or risk the ownership of his car being rescinded.
Now Eric must somehow juggle a hectic career and family life in the city, with regular visits to the small riverside town of Burlam. Life for Eric quickly turns into a chaotic kaleidoscope of grumpy pensioners, muddy Wellington boots, gardening mishaps, drug raids and missed deadlines, which leave his marriage, job and sanity hanging in the balance. Loved it. The story was more complex than I expected. Going to get the next series because I can’t leave it there, I want to know what happened next.

Love the series
My second time around reading this lot, just as satisfying as the first time. Hannah is a gifted storyteller, able to create settings, in ordinary life, and elevate them to a resounding, successful scenario which is always entertaining and satisfying. Bravo Hannah Lynn.

Good story, 4 stars is enough.
I loved the characters, it made me laugh out loud. Cry and a bit warm and fuzzy. Parts were cliched and little bit of it predictable. But never saw the end result of the predicted incident.

Fun read
I found this book series very engaging. I liked the characters and how they interacted with each other. Life didn’t go smoothly for them, but they muddled through and overcame adversity. Five stars for being a good read!

*Audiobook Review*
Eric Sibley is one of my favourite characters in contemporary fiction, not because he's perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but because he is so wonderfully and consistently human. He messes up and makes mistakes time and time again, never reaching the point of perfection where no further improvement is possible, but there is a slow, steady maturation through the course of these books that shows strength and moral fibre which has kept me invested in his character. I feel for him, despite his flaws, as I feel for each new character who is introduced with their warts and all. Big kudos to author Hannah Lynn on writing such a believable and strangely endearing cast of characters.
The narration is, by and large, well executed. Most of the characters sound the way I would imagine them too, and I'm not going to gripe on minor annoyances.
Overall this was an excellent listen and I look forward to more Peas and Carrots.

Totally enjoying this series
I've stopped trying to finish books that simply don't capture my right away (and there have been plenty lately), but this is NOT one of them. Although the "Peas and Carrots" title made me think this was going to be juvenile, it definitely is not. The characters are full-bodied, interesting, funny and flawed people, and there's enough of real life to keep your interest and allow you to learn something with the characters without feeling talked down to. I've finished the first 3 books of the series and am anxious to start on the next three. Well done. ( Have also enjoyed getting a chance to learn some slang from the UK. 😊)

What started out as a whimsical tale of a man who inherited an Aston Martin with the proviso that he took care of his deceased father’s allotment for at least two years soon had me drawn in.
Eric and his father had a fragmented relationship but over time Eric began to discover other aspects of Norman’s personality. Eric, his wife Suzy and their daughter Abi leave London to live in the Suffolk town where Norman’s allotment is located. If you think this is going to be a typical city-to-country lifestyle change, think again. There are many twists in the tale that will pull the rug out from under your expectations.
I will certainly be reading the second Peas and Carrots trilogy.

An unusual series
I enjoyed reading the series Peas and Carrots, but there were so many words I didn't understand or I might have liked it more. There were a lot of typos and other errors in it that I didn't like, too. I enjoyed the last one best. It was the one where he was the teacher. This was a very unusual book. I have never read one like it, but I still recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading a book by an English author.

Just have to keep reading
This series of stories is annoyingly gripping! At the end of every page I read I was forced, yes forced to read the next one. Then at the end of the book my arm was twisted yet again to go straight into the next! I don't like pain so I gave in and went straight to the next book. I have now been forced to buy the next set. I can't wait to get started.😃😃

Interesting and Entertaining

This was a really enjoyable series of books, which really read as one continuing story. I would have given it five stars, but the British language usage detracted a bit from my overall enjoyment. I did not understand what some of the terms meant.

ALMOST Didn't Finish
Maybe it was my frame of mind but I wasn't synching with the main character. As it was my 1st time reading this author's work and out of respect for writers in general, I stuck with it. By the 3rd book was cheering him on!

Life Lessons?
Not obviously a fabled plot, but it taught me a few lessons about life. Though I would have handled some of the mother-in-law’s activities differently. Good storytelling, will read the next volume.

Loved these books. All your emotions are exercised in reading all three of them.
This is one of those series where you become part of it. You love the characters & laugh, love, sob, and feel joy with their goings-on. I can't day enough good things about this series.
