Christmas at Holiday House by RaeAnne Thayne is a 2020 HQN publication.

And….
We have a winner!

I should have known RaeAnne Thayne would deliver!

This novel features two love stories. The primary romance is centered around Abigail and her son, Christopher. Abigail is widowed and looking to make a big change to help her move on with her life. Before she heads out to her new destination, her best friend Lucy begs her to take care of her grandmother, Winnie, who is recovering from an injury. How co

I had a really good time in the town of Silver Bells. I loved the Holiday House and Grandma Winnie was great. The romance between Ethan and Abby was one for the books. Of course I can't leave out sweet Christopher.
I will be sitting on pins and needles until next year to see what Thayne gives us for Christmas.

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE CHRISTMAS ROMANCE

Get ready to fall in love with these characters, this town and this story! I was not ready, thinking it was just going to be a run of the mill Christmas romance. But this went deeper than that, and I adored it!

👍 What I Liked 👍

Characters: There were so many amazing characters in this book! Not only the main characters but also all the secondary characters were so great and fleshed out, they really felt like real people. Each had a distinct personality which I

This is my first RaeAnne Thayne book and I quite enjoyed my visit to Silver Bells. I especially loved the Christmasy vibe throughout. A lot of times Christmas seems to be a two dimensional backdrop in a holiday romance but it's front and center in this second chance romance. Great pacing with just enough angst to keep Abby and Ethan wary of each other without going overboard. And there's even a bonus love story and some great secondary characters that made me smile. A feel-good-got-me-in-the-hol ...more

Every year I get caught up in the sweet stories that revolve around the holidays. Some are beautifully written, others are a bit too saccharine for my taste; still others are so wonderful that you remember them for seasons to come. Christmas at Holiday House is one of those. It is a multi-generational story revolving around a beautiful Victorian house - the Holiday House - that becomes a character in its own right. If you only read one holiday tale this year, Christmas at Holiday House should be ...more

Christmas at Holiday House is all that you'd expect from a Christmas story, and more! Small town, Christmassy-setting with lots of snow? Check! Quirky and endearing characters? Check! Visions of lights and Christmas trees and snowmen? Check! Christmas cookies and gingerbread houses? Check! What I loved most about this particular book, and the fact that we get TWO romances, not just one, is that it's not easy for these characters to open their hearts to love. It was wonderful to watch as their he ...more

A cute xmassy book.

Abby comes with her son to a sweet little town. She will only stay a little while to help out a friend's grandma. And Abby is sweet, kind. She lost her husband and is trying to move on with her life.

Christmas is also around the corner, and they are prepping the house for it. Very xmassy, with snow, skiing and more.

And of course she meets at first grumpy guy called Ethan, who thinks his grandma should be in a home so she wont get hurt. But Ethan was a sweetie, also a stupid id

Sometimes I’m just in the mood for an uncomplicated, easy read and when that mood strikes, I know I can always count on RT to deliver. If it’s a holiday book from her then it’s even better because besides her trademark sweet and tender vibes you get all the holiday cheer as well! This was no exception and totally fit the Bill as far as being exactly the right book at exactly the right time for me.

A quaint little setting is so important for me in a romance and Silver Bells was beyond idyllic. It

A RaeAnne Thayne book is something I always savor, but her Christmas novels? They are something to cherish. Christmas at Holiday House turned out to be a shining example of the reason for the Season and will definitely tug at your heartstrings.

You already know I’m a huge fan of all of RaeAnne Thayne’s work. There’s something rather magical, though, about the holiday stories she so lovingly creates. And the wonderful book covers

This was cute but not my favorite from Thayne. Her books have gotten even cleaner and more wholesome, which isn't necessarily an issue with a Hallmark movie-style Christmas book but it bugged me in this one. The dialogue and internal thoughts are so repetitive - the characters keep having the same conversations or thinking the same things over and over. Holiday House was a fun setting and Silver Bells is clearly a town that could be explored a lot more. Also, very weird that Lucy had a POV every ...more

2.5 stars. I liked the idea of the story and the characters but it felt as if I was reading a short story or novella that had been expanded to a full length book. Parts of it really dragged and, although I’m a fan of the “slow burn” story, I got very impatient with the cluelessness of these characters.

A very sweet Christmas book! It was cozy, warm and predictable. Just what I look for in a Christmas book! The setting was beautiful and the setting descriptions added to the cozy feeling of the book. The romances (yes, plural!) were sweet and moved along at a nice clip. This was a feel good book full of Christmas cheer! My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.

RaeAnne Thayne was an author that I didn’t think I was going to like when I picked up one of her books for the very first time. The cover reminded me of something that my grandma might read…..a small town country romance with cliche characters.

After reading the first book by Thayne, I fell in love with her books and have read a number of them since the first one! I especially love her holiday romances. JOLLY. GOOD.

I have devoured them in single sittings and this book was no different. This one i

This Christmas story is very predictable but a joy to read. Abby and her young son arrive in Silver Bell, Colorado to live and care for her best friends grandmother, Winnie. She's a nurse who is questioned and rebuffed by Winnie's adult grandson, Ethan. Of course sparks fly and Winnie and Abby prepare Holiday House for the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. With a tender ankle, Winnie has Abby cooking and decorating and everyone happy and in the Christmas mood except for poor Ethan. A beautiful ...more

Few authors can match RaeAnne Thayne when it comes to writing sweet, charming, feel-good, sentimental Christmas stories that fill the reader with the warm fuzzies, and she's done it again in Christmas at Holiday House, her latest novel, which gets 5 stars from this reader.

The setting is as much a character in this story as the rest of the cast of characters, and that setting is Silver Bells, Colorado, a picture postcard of a quaint ski resort town, the center of he family's hotel/resort chain, a

Christmas at Holiday House is a delightful and charming Christmas story. It is a multi-generational story revolving around a beautiful Victorian house, known as the Holiday House. The owner of the house, 80 something Winnie, had a fall and needed a bit of help. Abby Powell and her son Christopher are asked by Abby's best friend if they could take care of her until she gets home. Thus begins this Christmas romance that is so much more.
