It’s been seven years since Quinn Walker ended our engagement and left me with a broken heart.

I’ve moved on, married his enemy, and started my own family.

Everything was perfect…until it wasn’t. My new life was a lie, and my husband turned out to be a fraud. The man that I married was now a wanted fugitive, and my ex-fiancé was the cop who was intent on making him pay.

This was my first from this author and this story was quite enjoyable! We meet Charlotte, whose life seems to be going good until it all falls apart in seconds. We also meet Quinn who comes back into Charlotte's life and boy does he turn it all into an uproar. This story was captivating from prologue to epilogue. There was steam, romance, sweetness, and lots of action and surprises. I enjoyed the chemistry between our characters and their feelings for each other plus their

When I first chose this book and read the blurb I was like, oh this sounds really good! Well, the blurb was definitely better then what I ended up reading. It wasn't horrible it was the fact that I couldn't like either of the main characters.

Quinn and Charlotte were engaged year ago when Quinn up and dumps her to further his career. A friend Grant, swoops in and steals Charlotte and knocks her up and they get married. Fast forward 7 years and it turns out Grant is a piece of sh@t. He

I'm at a fence about this book - I mean it was good and all but Quinn got on my nerves. Charlotte was deal with a lot of stress and he kept making the same mistakes and pressuring her to give in. So obviously I'm not a big fan of him.

I liked Charlotte. She was doing her best to keep her head above water. His presence didn't help the matter at all. I did love the HEA but still...
Unfortunately I'm giving my first 3* in 2020.

I was so emotional by the end of this book that the tears were pooled in my eyes. I loved the burn of this lost love/second chance romance. The emotions that pulled at my heartstrings and I felt deep down in my soul are the best kind of feels I can get from a great story, like this one.

Charlotte is having such a hard time in her life. She shines with courage and the love of her beautiful little girl. , Emery. I could feel her heart throughout the whole book. The struggle to do what’s right is

Quinn and Charlotte were very much in love until his plans went sideways. Quinn handled their situation poorly and bowed out of their engagement. He was not who she thought he was and now he is on the run leaving Charlotte and their daughter to handle the fallout and danger as well. Quinn still has his feelings and is determined to show Charlotte but someone is out there looking for he husband and Charlotte is the ...more

Quinn and Charlotte was 20 when they were in it for life with the ring. Next thing Charlotte knows is Quinn left her and headed to California and told her there was another woman. The day he left she went out to numb her pain and meeting Grant, their neighbor. She knew she got drunk and invited him into her place but blacked out. 7 years later her marriage is on the rocks, her 6 year old daughter is a bundle of energy and her husband is on the run after a car wreak that killed 5, he left the ...more

I came across S. Jones on this Facebook event in December. When I read about her books I found myself really wanting to read her books. So when I joined her Facebook group and saw a post about an opportunity to read an ARC of her new book ‘Whatever It Takes’ I definitely needed to respond a.s.a.p. So when I received the ARC shortly after, I couldn’t be more excited so I started reading immediately.

In ‘Whatever It Takes’ we meet Charlotte shortly after her life got horrible wrong. Charlotte’s

I absolutely love the work by this author and this book does not disappoint, it's absolutely fabulous.

I've read books by this author before and I couldn't wait to read this book.

I absolutely loved these characters. Charlotte has a hell of a lot going on especially with her estranged husband who's gone missing. Her life is abit scary at the moment for her and her daughter. She's been highly
manipulated by her ex husband in ways that will shock the hell out of you.

This was a good read! It was my first by S. Jones and I'll definitely read something by this author again. My only issue with this book is, I couldn't really get into either of the main characters so it took a bit for me to really get into the story. I had a very hard time liking Quinn for a majority of this book. This was most likely what the author wanted, you to dislike him and then fall in love with the character, but I had a hard time eventually liking him. He walked out on Charlotte years ...more

S. Jones is a new to me author, and man, I couldn't put this book down. Whatever It Takes took me on an emotional journey, (albeit a ton of rage), which kept me on the edge of my seat, while turning pages as quickly as possible. Charlotte & Quinn were in love when they were younger, until he made some pretty douchey decisions that had me gunning for him out of the gate. She was left brokenhearted, and ended up married to Grant after becoming pregnant. Fast forward 7 years later, and ...more

“I’m still emotional for the ending of this book. When I first read the blurb I was like oh, this book sounds good! But it was way better! S. Charlotte and Quinn had a history---they were in love, until life tore them apart. What neither one was expecting was to be thrown back into each other's lives, this time, for a different reason--to put Charlotte's husband away for a long time.

Quinn was Charlotte's one true love. But when things went awry, Charlotte found herself married to Grant, with a child. Her life was not all it turned out to be, when she realized the double life her husband was living. Determined to get away from it all,

This is the first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. Charlotte and Quinn fell in love when they were younger but unfortunately the timing was off. They went their separate ways and it left Charlotte with a broken heart. Adding insult to injury, Charlotte and friends went out to help her drown her sorrows and she wound up on a new path with a new man. Fast forward seven years and Charlotte’s husband Grant is not the man she thought he was. As a once promising

I’m riding the fence on this book and here’s why.

The premise of the book is a good. Charlotte is married to man that is now a figure in a large case. He was a crappy husband and father to put his family in jeopardy and don’t get me started on how he treated Charlotte. Quinn comes into play as one of the cops on the case and he is Charlotte’s ex that broke her heart. Obviously this cause issues between Quinn and Charlotte because she doesn’t want to near him.

What I felt missing was the

When I read the blurb for Quinn and Charlotte's story I thought it would be really good. It was sadly lacking a few things for me to really like it. Truth be told, I didn't care for either Quinn or Charlotte. Both of them were still pretty immature and self-centered. After 7 years apart, neither one of them really made good choices at times. Quinn had left her behind and moved on 7 years prior and Charlotte fell into a relationship right away. It seemed neither one of them had a good reason for ...more

This is the first time in reading this author. What lured me to this one was what was to be in the story. It would be devastating to be married to someone and they turned out to be something else they were that good at camouflage. I was at one time so I know how it feels so could relate to this character Charlotte. Oh then there is Quinn and everything is upside down. I also smelled a second chance. Funny how guys and gals think different when certain issues are involved. That is what happens ...more

This book is about a woman named Charlotte, whose fiance (Quinn) suddenly broke their engagement seven years before and broke her heart. She ended up married to his enemy (Grant) and having a child with him. But Grant turns out to be an adulterer and also a criminal involved even with mob activities. So she decides to divorce him. She is now in danger though, as a person significant to Grant, so Quinn (now a cop) moves in to protect her. They still love each other deeply it seems, so readers ...more

This is my first time reading S Jones and it definitely won’t be last. Whatever It Takes is told in first person, dual person POV. I’m a sucker for second chance romances and that’s exactly what Charolette and Quinn’s story is. Add in Quinn’s husband and you get some suspense.

I can’t imagine how Charolette felt when she learned exactly what her husband was capable of. Grant is a grade A a$$hole!! It’s like he is living a double life and manages to put his wife and child in danger. Quinn is a

What a great story for a second chance romance. Quinn and Charlotte were in love and engaged. It all ended when Quinn left to pursue his goal and didn’t look back.
Charlotte picked up the pieces of her broken life and happened to marry Quinn’s enemy and had a daughter.

This book was so exciting! Charlotte and the love of her life Quinn broke up seven years ago and neither one has recovered. When Charlottes current husband Grant is wanted for a bad accident where he fled the scene, one of the policemen that showed up at the door was Quinn. This was a second-chance-at-love story. Charlotte and Quinn were meant for each other, but youth and fear took that away. As fate brought them back together, the sparks continued to fly. Charlotte's current life showed her to be a good mom and strong enough to deal with the bad stuff. Quinn was a straight forward guy looking to protect Charlotte and Emery. They tried to be truthful but feared some information would destroy their chance together. I loved the fact that both families were accepting ...more

How many twists and turns can one book have...
This book. OMG! Whatever It Takes just flows oh so very well and will keep you in constant hopeful, that there is a HEA the second time around.
Just the mere thought of Quinn and Charlotte’s chemistry is what will keep you wanting more.

This was a surprise of a read for me. At first I wasn't sure what to think about Charlotte's character, but as the chapters moved on I grew to appreciate her personality and need to keep her daughter safe at all cost. Quinn on the other hand seemed like the alpha man from chapter two. His desire to stay near Charlotte and protect her was one of his best traits.
I loved the ebbs and flows of this story and was equally pleased with the character development. I will happily read more of S. Jones'

Quinn and Charlotte have an amazing story that you do not want to miss out on. (They are one of my favorite couples that I have read about). Once engaged, they break up and then spend seven years apart. During that time, major events happen in Charlotte's life that will change her forever. Once Quinn returns, the push and pull begins and it takes you on a crazy ride with drama. mystery, revelations galore, sexy times and eventually the happily ever after they were always destined to have.
