Nikki – Being tortured and watching the father of my child die has scarred me. There are deep wounds etched into my soul that no one can possibly understand. They think I loved him, that I’m mourning, but I’m not. The horror of that day lurks in the shadows of my mind, and I can’t seem to break free. Not until Ashes drags me to my first ultrasound and I see my son for the first time. I owe it to him to do better, but it’s too late. I’ve lost my job, and I’m losing my apartment. I should have known Ashes would swoop in like a knight on his shining Harley to save the day.
Ashes – It’s my fault that Nikki lost Bane, that their kid will grow up without a dad. My cousin is responsible for what happened to them, and I can’t undo that pain. So instead, I take care of Nikki the best I can while trying to maintain some distance between us. I’ve loved her for years, but I can never tell her. Renegade, the Road Captain for my club and her brother, would kill me if he knew that Nikki plagues my thoughts day and night. I never counted on taking her home with me, or getting caught in the shower with her. But our happy-ever-after wasn’t quite in reach. When a series of events nearly tears us apart, I vow that I’ll do whatever it takes to get back to her. It never occurred to me that she’d be the one to save me.
Harley Wylde is the International Bestselling Author of the Dixie Reapers MC, Devil's Boneyard MC, and Hades Abyss MC series.
When Harley's writing, her motto is the hotter the better -- off the charts sex, commanding men, and the women who can't deny them. If you want men who talk dirty, are sexy as hell, and take what they want, then you've come to the right place. She doesn't shy away from the dangers and nastiness in the world, bringing those realities to the pages of her books, but always gives her characters a happily-ever-after and makes sure the bad guys get what they deserve.
The times Harley isn't writing, she's thinking up naughty things to do to her husband, drinking copious amounts of Starbucks, and reading. She loves to read and devours a book a day, sometimes more. She's also fond of TV shows and movies from the 1980's, as well as paranormal shows from the 1990's to today, even though she'd much rather be reading or writing.

Ashes and Nikki are amazing! They are so freaking cute together. She's having a rough time after everything she witnessed during her kidnapping and Ashes is the only one in the club who really sees it and tries to help her. The story is good like the previous books in the series. My only complaint was the rest of the club I was really wondering where the guys were we had come to know from previous books went because the officers who showed up in Ashes left me seriously disappointed in my guys.
I just finished Ashes and Nikki's book and I am all kinds of conflicted. Not about them, not at all. They are another great couple dreamed up by Harley Wylde. They really fit so well together, Ashes is such a sweetie for a big bad biker. He really cares for Nikki on an emotional level before they are sexually intimate and it was beautiful to see. Nikki has been attracted to him for a while but knew there couldn't be anything between them because of her brother. When she sees an opportunity to show him her interest, she takes it and it pays off bigtime. What ended up taking me by surprise is how my view on the other members of the club changed. Renegade ignores what is right in front of him and tells the club to do the same. She could have ended up homeless if it wasn't for Ashes. The club takes Renegade's word as gospel and ignores their gut. Its business as usual because it is easier and more convenient for them to disregard her. Cinder also let me down in a big way with his handling of things. I know he isn't perfect, he is human and they make mistakes but it cut just the same. This does showcase how well Harley Wylde crafts her characters if I can get this worked up about them and their actions. Loved Ashes and Nikki and I still have mad love for this world of Ms Wylde's. I can't wait for more!

I LOVE THIS SERIES! This is Ashes and Nikki's story. Ashes is a gorgeous bad@ss sweetheart of a man who has wanted Nikki since the first time he saw her. He feels guilty about Nikki being assaulted and Bane being killed because his cousin betrayed him and the club. Nikki is Renegade's sister but Renegade has always kept his distance from her because he doesn't want her around the clubhouse or to date his club brothers. Nikki is a really sweet beautiful woman but since the death of her and Renegade's parents she has never felt loved. She knows her brother loves her but he doesn't know her even though he has managed to chase off any guys that she dates. Her last boyfriend Chad was an idiot he treated her badly. In the last book Renegade, Nikki met Bane while he was a Prospect for the Devil's Boneyard MC. She had sex with him on their first date but she knew she felt no romantic feelings for him it was just the closeness she craved. Then she finds out she's pregnant and not long after she and Bane are taken and assaulted, she survived but Bane didn't. She takes his death worse than anyone knows. She witnessed him being tortured and it terrorizes her sending her into a deep depression and her life starts to fall apart. Ashes has been helping her but he doesn't know how bad it really is. When he finds out he takes her to his house at the clubhouse compound and her brother Renegade loses it. When he finds out what's been going on he's fit to be tied. He's been so preoccupied wth his own life he didn't notice how bad his own sister and only living relative was suffering. He gets infuriated with himself and Ashes for being there instead of him. Ashes loves having Nikki close by but wishes thing were different between them. He loves everything about her and her baby. When things in the club start to get intense I was just sitting with my mouth open thinking Nooo! What happens next had me crying for poor Nikki and Ashes. Nikki surprises us all when she steps up. I highly recommend this series to everyone!
Let’s make sure we know who Nikki is. She is the little sister of Renegade. We met her already when she was kidnapped along with Bane. They beat Bane to death. Now Nikki is alone and pregnant with his child. Ashes has always loved Nikki from afar. Renegade would kill him if he laid hands on her but he doesn’t know everything. It kills me that these guys all are protective of their family and yet they are married to women the same age as their own sisters or daughters. Big jerks. Now, I felt for Ashes. That man hid so much about him not being a man-whore and his love for Nikki. Even when the chance opens up, things don’t turn out easy. I was not happy with Havoc and Renegade. Really guys?! They need to take a good look at their own home first before speaking. That being said, I was shocked in the beginning and a bit pissed off. Ashes is a sweetheart and THAT is what he gets. I wanted to scream. It was a long hard journey for these two. Some hurtful things were said but thank goodness love prevailed. Of course are guys are always bragging about their “skill.” It’s always hot and dirty. I have to say what happens towards the end was a bit new. I didn’t expect that. All the clubs need to really look at the club sluts. And I’m glad to see that all the club ladies are getting strong and can take on anyone.
Ashes is book seven in the devils bone yard MC series. This story is short, fast paced and action packed. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Ashes has wanted Nikki since she turned eighteen. As she is his MC brother’s little sister, she is off limits. When Nikki finds herself alone, pregnant and mentally scarred, Ashes steps up. When Ashes himself goes through something, will Nikki be by his side? The chemistry between Nikki and Ashes is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. I loved how Nikki’s fight came back. I loved how she stood up to Cinder when Ashes and some MC brothers needed her to. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this book. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
This one picks up from where RENEGADE left off, with Nikki recovering from torture and watching her lover get tortured and unalived. Naturally, that would throw a woman off her game for a year or three. She is in a serious depression and finds out she is PREGNANT. Ashes is there to help her pick up the pieces. He Instaloved as soon as he saw she was ALL GROWN UP, and has been celibate ever since, although he fakes it in front of his club brothers. The issue is, Nikki is a CLUB PRINCESS because she is his CLUB BROTHER’S SISTER. (Other tropes include AMNESIA, DUDE IN DISTRESS, ADORABLE MOPPET, FOUND FAMILY, WITH FRIENDS LIKE THAT, PREGNANT HEROINE). Book is SAFE, featuring a CELIBATE HERO. TRIGGERS include violence, torture, threatened SA, and language. I liked this book and thought that Renegade needed a swift kick to the buttocks and/or an arse whupping. And I’d like to call out Scratch for sending Ashes on a questionable meet just because he was with a club princess.
I would probably give this 3.5 stars, Ashers wasn’t as tough as the other bikers Harley Wylde has written about. Ashes had loved Nikki for years but because of her being Renegades sister she was off limits which hadn’t stopped Bane a prospect from dating her and getting her pregnant before he was murdered in front of Nikki. This sent her on a downward spiral and Ashes was looking after her. The clubs response to Ashes claiming Nikki was a little bit bizarre considering their pasts, renegades response was expected and everything went to hell in a hand basket, there were bits of the story that didn’t make complete sense to me but without giving ruining the story I can’t say it’s just for the clubs usually being so quick and smart they weren’t this time. I will still keep buying her books but this one just missed something at the start,
Not my favorite book and it had nothing to do with Ashes or Nikki. This club is supposed to be about brotherhood first and foremost but Renegade was an a**hole and I wanted to kick him right snack dab in the balls!!! This was not about brotherhood at all. Even when Cinder was making his call it took Nikki for him to finally get it right. This made me dislike some of the men in the club that I used to love. On top of everything Cinder had the balls to tell Ashes that he might have to rethink his place in the club (brotherhood) because of what happened to him in the warehouse.....THAT THEY SENT HIM TOO IN THE FIRST PLACE BECAUSE HE HAD THE GALL>>>GASP>>> TO LOVE NIKKI!!!! Let me change my first sentence. I HATED THIS BOOK!!!!

Oh Harley Wylde really got it this time by writing the true sense of being family but not by blood. This story really takes the cake on being with brotherhood of badass biker and finding someone who trully understood the meaning of being in such relationship. The previous books mostly centered on the "broken-ness" of the h, but not this one. Yes there's still "broken" h, but the healing was even more powerful with the meaning of family. I was swooned!!
Ps: I put air quote on broken, because all h in this series were not truly broken. They just lost their spark for a while. They were trully survivor and strong in their own way.
I was a little disappointed in this one. I found the attitudes of the majority of the people in this one off putting. Even people that were from previous books that I’d loved and connected with them in I now find that I don’t want to re-read them because of how they acted in this one. I rated this higher than I should honestly because with the exception on 2 other books in all the bikers series that Harley writes I have read some of them multiple times. This one won’t be one that I read again.
Each book gets better and better. The story of Ashes and Nikki just hits all my emotions.Ashes sees Nik struggling and he steps in to save her from herself. I love Renegade almost as much as I love Torch from the Dixie Dealers but it should have been him to get his butt kick for being a douchebag to his sister. He wasn't there when she needed him the most and was pissed off she one of his club brother's was even knowing she is off limits!
I thought the story was great. This author is new to me and so is this series. I started with this book but I think I should have started with book 1 because even though this book was great I felt like I was missing some things and just wish there was more. At times I kind of felt it was rushed but I did like the story. Looking forward to reading more from this Author.
Terrific story with a few odd twists. Love all the Devils Boneyard characters so I knew I would love this story too. Surprised that Irish and Janessa were not mentioned at a kid Holloween party though! The memory loss was a blood touch, but the ending was forced. Still love this world.
Nicely done Author Harley Wylde, love Ashes Nd Nikki. I remember when I read about them in book 6, I had this thought going through my head that those two definitely belong together. Chemistry is off the chart with them, nice to know a lady will fight for her man, amazing read and a definite recommendation from me.
Ashes has been in love with Nikki forever. But he never crossed the line, until now. Nikki was kidnapped and has lost her way. Now that she is knocked up by a fling who died in front of her, she is lost. Ashes is the one who brings her back to life and finds himself in he process.
Wow if I’ve said it once I’ve said it multiple times, Devils Boneyard IS THE WORST MC EVER!!!! Ashes is the only one worth while!!! Renegade is TRASH and I hate hime - Cinder??? TRASH!!!! How dare he allow ashes to die??? How dare they chose renegade??? Havoc??? TRASH!!!! Irish??? TRASH!!! Ashes is the only one worthwhile truly
Man who knew loosing a memory would be life changing. This couple had heck getting off to a good start. But the love the shared made everything better. She’s a bada-: and he’ll do anything for her
Read this in about 30 minutes, not worth the $ . Editing was awful, ridiculous story. Said the same thing over and over. Characters were one dimensional and I could not care less about them. Very boring. Time to find another story line Harley Wylde.
This was an awesome read. Ashes started out just being there for Niki even though he felt some what responsibile for the fact that Bane was not there. He loved her for so long. I definitely recommend this book
Very disappointing. What happen to the club, they didn't fell like a family, at all, more like a punch of punks, who looked after them selves. Not only that, the storyline, was boring and flat.
Loved the characters, loved the story line. Kick a h saving the H. Negotiates with the bad guy like a boss. Strong h, hot scenes, hea. What's not to love?
