Will Brawley bond with a frightened but deadly cat girl? A lovely, grease-streaked Gearhead trapped in psionic slavery? Or a telepathic damsel in distress crying out from his past?
The choice will change Brawley forever.
But when he leaves hiding to seek a mysterious object hidden by his deceased parents, “forever” might end quickly.
How can Brawley fulfill his destiny when everyone is after him?
The Order, the FPI, the Tiger Mage… they all want him dead. And now, a terrifying new enemy has joined the hunt: a dark summoner whose secret agenda will shed light on the past—and darkness on the future.
Warning: Power Mage is an explosive series containing graphic violence, explicit sex, and a harem of gorgeous women who wreak serious havoc with their minds. Read at your own risk.
The story continues strong. Brawley meets a couple of girls that he could probably add to his group of women but he doesn't "go there" right away. The cat girl Callie seems young and inexperienced, though she is 18. She has lived a sheltered life. Rawley isn't sure about bringing her into the fold. He meets a gearhead girl that fixes up his RV Brawley is searching for clues from his parents and then he wants to lay low in Texas and train. The problem now is that he is a wanted man. He is being accused of the massacre in Miami by the Order, even though they know the White Tiger caused this problem. The psi maphia is also after the group, but there is also a hidden 3rd party after Brawley as well. The one thing I didn't like which happens a lot with these harem books is that when a guy ends up with more than 2 women, he starts getting much more dominant in their sex. That happened with this book as well. It seemed out of character for Brawley based on the sexual encounters in the first 2 books. I'm not saying that can't be hot, but the tone was set in the first couple of books and it didn't feel organic for it to change that much in this book
The least of the story so far. While things happen, the story feels stalled and doesn't really move forward. Uno monologues to his victims not once but twice which frankly seems odd. Not sure we really needed the exposition and if we did, then the whole sub-plot failed and should have been left out. Of course then this whole book would only have them driving to Texas which means this book was superfluous to the story.
That said, the narrator Andrea Parsneau is seriously amazing. Her laugh is something to cherish. I would like to have her narrate a little faster, but I get she is doing the whole "drawl" thing. Fortunately there is a speed control on the reader!
We as the audiobook community really do have to give these narrators the kudos they deserve.
Brawley continues his romp with his wives and other prospects with the right strands appear. His power and skill grow. Can he defeat a powerful hit man who wants to sacrifice him and his women to his master. I like the action, humor, and love. I look forward to the next book.
Another amazing book from Honda. Captivating characters and great story again. Could put the book down like the other two and can’t wait to start the next one. Definitely worth reading!
Most action packed yet. Brawley's continues to grow and may have found more women to bond with. The whole time he wrestles with his powers but grows alot in the process.
But I finished another book! I know there are three more books but I wonder at the author's ability to finish this story within three more books. That'll wait until morning..Book four, here I come!!!
Fast paced, ride or die, rip roaring time, and oh so much more!! This harem series has a high speed low drag blazing pace. Strap in, it's a rocket ride!!
Plenty of action and just a fun read. Characters are full of energy and not afraid to shed a little blood of their enemies. The villains are truly bad people.
The third book was a good read. Still liked the MC and his girls, mostly. The action was good as well and the interaction between the group and biker group was great to read.
The only bad things I say is that sometimes the action felt slow and made me lost interest sometimes. And of the group of girls, Callie, even though she was more developed than from the last book, she still felt bland.
I have been looking forward to book 3 since I finished book 2 and Damn It! Now I need book 4. If you seriously haven't started this series and you like harem series, get on this Winnebago and take the ride along with Brawley and his women.
This chapter sees more development for Brawley and all of his women, introduces some new players and continues the story with the Order and Brawley's rise to being a true Power Mage. There are a few twists and turns, some expected and some not (just to keep you on your toes). I did feel the end of the book was rushed, but then again I didn't want it to end and figured that Hondo could have extended it out further and kept me reading for longer.
Overall a masterful piece that adds to the universe of Power Mage and well worth the read. This is quickly becoming one of my read again series.
I like this series, as I did the author's previous work, and this installment keeps things moving. The MC in this one continues to be one of my favourites, in the vein of old Robert E. Howard-type (Conan the Barbarian, Solomon Kane, etc.) heroes who know what they want and take it. Those people can be a menace IRL, but are fun to read about.
The sexy times are well-balanced and generally add to the story rather than fill it. If you've liked it to this point you'll like this one; I for one am very interested to see Brawley's latest evolution and am watching for the next book.
The third installment of the series is every bit as good as the first two. This is often times when a series starts to lag. The author knows your hooked, so you will probably read it anyway. He doesn't have to put a lot of effort into the plot. Cha ching ring the cash register. Hondo Jinx actually put some effort into maintaining a high quality story. This makes me feel like he cares about his craft, and is not in it for a quick buck. You will enjoy this whole series.
Brawly and the girls are on the run from the Order, White Tiger and other elements trying to decipher the book his folks left him . Unfortunately those chasing them don't care who gets hurt, since the have a convenient scape goat in Brawly. On top of it all he has to meet Reme's parents that lead the Scars! Great story telling that will keep you turning pages, with enough "action" to satisfy your hunger. A must read
Another installment of Power Mage! I am loving the story, the writing, and the “magic system.” But the concept of having sex and having a harem of wives in order to become more powerful takes away from the story. In the first book I didn’t mind the sex as much. Yeah, it seemed like a gimmick, but it was more of an interesting idea and a novelty than it was a detractor. But that has shifted. The sex scenes are now just ridiculous.
This chapter of the Saga of the Power Mage was so full of action I could barely keep up. Non-stop page to page. And the story just keeps getting deeper. I don't feel you can bring a story this epic to a conclusion in just four volumes so I anticipate many more chronicles. Now, Write. Me. MORE!!!!!!
Another great book, I went through it in 1 sitting. and I m looking forward to the next one since I want to know who is going to be the last girl since this book v got 4 confirmed wifes and if u read u can guess who the other tow going to be even tho they haven't boned yet that leaves us at who is going to be the cosmic wify.
This book was so much fun to read. I got sucked into the story and stayed up till 4am reading this book. The pacing was good and made the story move along quickly. The MC continues to get more interesting and powerful as he continues to understand his powers more. Overall it was awesome.
Things get very real and surreal in this latest book. There’s love and laughter, magic and mayhem, and pure evil hunts Brawley and his wives. This brings a level of darkness to the story that we hadn’t seen yet.
No spoilers - the action ramps up in ways it hasn’t before (multiple climaxes, anyone?) the climax at the end is amazing.
After finally making it out of the starting zone our Hero has to figure out where to go next and how to avoid those pesky enemies he may have stirred up on the way out. New friends are found and new powers discovered but we will have to see where or what will be the outcome !
I read book 1 and 2 then waited for book 3. I wish it had not left on such a big cilf hanger. Book 3 was awesome, and now I cant wait for book 4. I am totally waiting for the continuation, and this is such and amazing story line. Hopefully book r sosemr take to long.
If you liked previous 2 books then this one won’t disappoint you either. As always it has a good pacing and it pulls you in from the start. Not only that but it ends with not a cliffhanger but enough of an interesting moment that I can’t wait for book 4.
Really like the pacing and texture of this installment. Looks like we’ll get another 5 books out of this series at a minimum, and I have to say that I’m looking forward to reading them all.
Yet another great installation in the power mage series! The character and story weave a rich and entertaining tapestry that is simply delightful! Pick it up and enjoy the ride!
I love this series it truly hits the spot.Sex violence. Goodies who are good and some who are bad really bad. A really great read thank you M'r Jinx.Another great one.
