LET'S FIND THE KITTEN is a cute hide-and-seek, lift-the-flap board book. Kitten is hiding, but we don't know where. As the reader searches around the garden, the book draws parallels with clues for kitten, such as the fact that kitten has tickly whiskers, so could her whiskers be the ones behind the water can? It turns out to be mouse! The book ends when the reader finds Kitten!
What I loved: This book uses felt flaps and die-cut peek-through holes that add some fun in the search for Kitten. The amount of text is perfect for older infants and young toddlers who will also enjoy the hide-and-seek search. I also really liked the way the text draws comparisons between Kitten and other animals during the search, such as whiskers, fluffy tail, and big ears. There's so many fun things to view and explore. Each page features cute animals and lots of bright colors. The felt flaps are nice to touch and lift. They are also pretty sturdy and secured for children who are a little rough on flaps.
Final verdict: LET'S FIND THE KITTEN is a charming hide-and-seek book that will delight young readers as they search for Kitten. With clues and felt flaps, there is so much to explore!

In this interactive board book, felt flaps hide various animals as readers try to spot the kitten who is hiding from them. The use of die-cuts allows them to focus on one part of the page, and the text and visuals contain hints about the animal that is hiding there. The pages and the guesses help youngsters realize that various animals share some of the same characteristics such as whiskers even though they have little else in common. The book and felt pieces are sturdy and fun to touch, and the kitten, once located, is pretty with its silvery stripes and playful look.

Another interactive, lift-the-flap board book. I enjoy the bright colors of this series and the sturdiness of the felt flaps. The pages are a little too detailed for the size of the board book, but the guessing game nature would make this work well for a virtual storytime.
